Almaden Collision & Kenny Auto

After having body work done by Phil @ Almaden Collision twice in the last year, I wanted to share my experience.
Communicating with Phil to set up an appointment was super easy. He was a pleasure to deal with on both occasions. I saw all the work he has done on instagram and felt like I could trust him with my car. Last year, he removed the rear bumper off my 2011 Audi S4 and repainted it because of various deep scratches left by the previous owner. At the same time, he installed a custom carbon fiber diffuser. It turned out great!
Unfortunately, the car got bumped into at the car wash last month. So without hesitation I contacted Phil again for a quote and to set up an appointment.
Got the car back today and I couldn’t be happier! The install is clean and the paint came out great! I also had him buff out the hood and wow did it make a difference! I will continue to come back for any body work/​painting needs.

Really great service! I got into my first accident and was referred to Phil by a friend and wow! He made this process so simple, fast, and convenient! Just got back my Subaru Forester and it looks great! I recommend using this place for any of your auto body needs!

Phil and his crew took care of business again! Unfortunately had a few accidents over the years, and the only good news is that I know the repairs will be done right here at Almaden Collision and Kenny Auto. When taking the car in, there is a fair estimate with parts, labor and repair timeframe. Very accurate on all the above. This place is detail oriented and once the repairs are done, they will inspect the car with a fine tooth comb before releasing it to you. You won’t get that with just any repair shop! I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

Worked with Phil on getting my car repainted and have some dents and other bodywork addressed. I am super happy with the work done. It was an award winning job. Communication throughout the process was great. If I had a question or inquiry on the work I recieved a response pretty much same day. I would definitely bring any of my cars back to have work done.

Took my Toyota Supra here after unfortunately having my cars entire quarter panel smashed into by two other cars while parked on the street. Phil came highly recommended by friends and is known among quite a few in the automotive enthusiast circles; which speaks volumes as we tend to be a picky bunch. He took care of the other parties insurance on his end for me and helped make a very depressing situation turn out better than expected. The body work came out great, you can hardly tell anything had even happened.

Went there to repair a bumper and tail light. They did a great job repairing it, it looks just as good as new. The best part is they had my car back to me in 2 days, so they were pretty quick for me.

I was referred to this shop by a friend when I was looking for a place to get my car serviced. It’s a bit out of the way for me, but it seems well worth it.
I wasn’t looking to get anything complicated done, just a 60k service on my Toyota Rav4. I dropped off my car at 10am, and it was done in the early afternoon.
Kenny was great to work with and kept me updated with progress. I didn’t get a chance to meet Phil, but Kenny and his wife are very friendly, and then alone could make the trek back worth it!
Their shop looks small, but they have the capabilities to do just about everything from body shop work to smog checks to oil changes.

My car experienced some misfortune and required some work done. Seeing that Phil has done more than a few Supras, I brought my car to him. It’s important a shop has experience with the car. I don’t want a shop guessing or consulting a manual how to take my car apart and put it back together. He was great from start to finish. He kept me updated on the status of my car and always consulted with me before doing things. A lot of my parts were discontinued, but thankfully Phil was able to source parts for my car. He also noted me to parts I should have replaced in the future. He even recommended me to an awesome tow truck company! These guys have no problem loading lowered cars on to a flat bed. I’m very happy with my experience at Alamaden Valley Collision.

Took my 93 RX7 here to get my motor, transmission, and diff pulled. I also got my engine bay painted. These guys pay attention to detail here, just got my car back today. Great work as always! Color is what I wanted and the bay looks very clean. «I’ll be back.» (Arnold Schwarzenegger accent)
They’re a one stop shop here; auto body, basic services, basic repairs, custom exhausts and turbo manifolds. Very good work and thanks again Phil!

Kenny and Phil are great guys who have done great work on both my vehicles. My Mustang they repaired my Front clip and did a great Job. They also put a motor in my chevy s-​10 there prices are fair and they do great work. I always go to them for my vehicles.

Usually service in the USA is good with some exceptions (Comcast, auto. :)). So always hate to do any tasks related to auto. Need to make a Smog Check today and called couple places and visited one: every time service as usual: when I visited previous place they guy was in the middle of his lunch and just told me «not now». When I called other place and asked if I come now will it be Ok I;ve got an answer: «we are open till 5» (who cares… i asked different question).
and just stopped in AVC without checking Unilocal.Heh… I love these guys: fast, friendly and even was introduced to vietnamese coffee. THANK YOU! Best smog check experience ever! (and best auto related too)

Kenny replaced the engine in my 1500 dodge ram.
It works great, price is right. Family business, prompt, responsive, keeps contact over phone and email through the whole process.
I’m just really happy with the whole experience.

A few weeks ago I was driving my 09 Civic Si coupe home and on the way, swerved to avoid a dog that ran loose. When I swerved I drove into a curb. I was glad I didn’t curb my rims but my passenger side rocker panel was forced in which pushed my side skirt out. Needless to say I was upset. I work in insurance and I knew this would be coded as an at fault accident and also the damage would be just below my deductible so it was out of pocket either way.
With all this in mind, I called my friend Ngoc from Synergy Auto Works and asked if he knew of a good body shop. He told me about Phil and his dad Kenny and said they would do a good job. I drove it on the next Saturday and talked to Kenny, he gave me a really good quote and even arranged for me to bring it in on the following Saturday since I told him I’m stuck at work Monday through Friday until 5. I dropped off the car in the morning at 8 and it told Kenny about some other minor damages I needed fixed (my front bumper was partially detached and part of the metal was folded over the headlight assembly, downsides of driving a lowered car). Kenny said he would take care of it without adding anything to the original quote!
When I picked up the car before 2, she looked amazing. Rocker panel and side skirt perfectly flush like the accident never happened. Front bumper was secure, and headlights cleared. I drove the car for a few days and I don’t need to push my front bumper into place every time I get out of the car now. The work they did was seriously amazing and the price can’t be beat.
I would definitely recommend Kenny and Phil to anyone who needs collision damages fixed or looking to add a lip/​body kit. The quality of work is second to none, the pricing is very competitive and reasonable, and they’re super flexible with your schedule. If you take a look around at the other cars they work on you’ll also see what I mean.

Phil is an great guy who quotes honestly and with very reasonable rates and has done great work on my S2000. I’ve been happy with bringing him insurance work and aftermarket body work and fender flaring, I get compliments on my fender work from other community S2000 members all the time.

I have no idea why Phil and his father (kenny) don’t have more reviews than just the listed few. Let me tell you about my experience:
I’ve been a long time customer with Phil, at the time (maybe… 9 – 10 years now) I’ve used him for automotive performance applications. His fabrication work was awesome and his knowledge was vast. I know it’s not preferential treatment either, i’ve sent referrals over to Phil without telling him and the work is just as good as my personal cars. My e46 m3 was rear ended in a traffic accident in the beginning of december. Phil helped me out with dealing with insurance, estimating costs of repair, and pretty much everything else i can think of. i just sat back while he and his staff worked and eventually it all worked out for me. i cant imagine anything going more smoothly than it did. GREAT JOB!!!

YUP I did it again! Backed my Benz GLK into my garage and messed up my front bumper/​fender but this time the bumper got pulled off and the silver thingies got bent too. (wtv thats called) I was lazy and had to move my car and wore glasses with an old prescription and yah, go figures.
On top of the extra cost and added stress, I was leaving to visit my pops in AZ in 2 days for him to meet my new baby! I needed to get a quote and FAST! I stopped by my previous bodyshop on Monterrey on the way to work but they were closed, so I Unilocaled bodyshops and up comes this place. On my lunch break, I called them, came in, got a quote quick by Kenny and wanted to tell my bf about it so I didn’t decide yet and went back to work. On the way back, I saw another bodyshop and being the clueless girl I am, I wanted to compare prices. WOW, they charged an extra arm and a leg so I was thinking, either Kenny is doing shortcuts or he just feels for me since I told him I was broke and just had 2 babies. I called back to have him reassure me that my car would be in good hands with lots of experienced people on deck to make sure my car would be good as new! I told him that I was leaving in 2 days out of state and needed to drop off my car the next morning and have in done in 5 days.
My car was finished on time, looks brand new, got a GREAT deal and overall experience was hassle-​free just the way I like it! Hopefully I don’t ever need to come back but when in need of a bodyshop, I know Kenny’s shop is now my GO-​TO bodyshop!

Ever since I met Phil, Kenny’s son, I’ve always brought all my cars and referred them to this shop.
I’ve had my old S2000 repainted and a body kit installed. Fitment became spot on for replica pieces. Car always came out clean.
I had my Mazda 3 hatch back in here twice. Both due to an accident. The passenger side door had been replaced because someone backed up into it. And the trunk hatch has been replaced due to a hit and run. The mazda 3 has a really hard grey to match due to the sparkles. But the parts were painted and are spot on with the original paint.
My sister brought her Civic here. Phil got everything repaired and tuned up before she had to leave to Georgia.
For my new S2000. I didn’t know it was repainted or anything due to the previous owner said it was all original. I dropped it off for maintenance and Phil told me everything about the car. It has been repainted, brake pads need to be replaced. Fluids were OEM.
Always happy with the service here. Phil helps me with everything I need when it comes to cars.

Had a run in with a corvette and damaged the rear bumper on my ridgline so I took it to. Almaden Valley Collision. The manager Phil was simply awesome to deal with they finished my truck ahead of schedule, and the work that was done is amazing it looks like my truck never got hit!!! Great work from a great shop I will be back

SEVERAL people and companies referred me to Almaden Collision and Kenny Auto, Inc., so I knew my car and I would be in good hands. My brand new car was in dire need of bodywork after it was vandalized so they took my car in immediately. They definitely under promised and over-​delivered on their service; my car was in and out of the shop in less than 20 days! Almaden Collision and Kenny Auto, Inc. took the time to follow up on all questions and handled everything with the appraiser/​insurance people in the most professional manner. I am surprised they do not have 1,000 perfect reviews! If I could give this place more than a five-​star rating, I would!

I have a modified import car and was refered to go to Phil of Almaden Valley Collision. I’ve heard good things about this body shop from my friends that have work done to their cars. My in-​law just recently have backed into my front bumper and cracked the aftermarket fiber glass racing from bumper on my car. The damage didnt look that bad at first glance but after my consultation it was referred to as a «cancer». Since this is a family issue, no insurance will be involved and i have to pay out of my pocket.
So i brought in the bumper to Phil so he can properly inspect it and give a proper estimate. He described the crack as a «cancer» for fiber glass because even though it only appear small from the front, the crack has already spread all through out from the inside of the bumper. I agreed with a very reasonable price to repair and paint the bumper.
Four day later, Phil gives me a call and tells me the paint on the bumper doesnt match to the paint thats on the VIN of the car. I found out that the previous body shop that painted my bumper before used a color that doesnt match the rest of the car. Phil insisted that i bring in the car so he can properly match the paint to the rest of the car.
Couple days later and Phil gives me a call to pick up the bumper. I was very satisfied with the finished product. It didnt have any drips or any signs of imperfections. I cant wait to bring back my whole car for a full paint job and i know i will get top notch work! My car won best of its class at Hot Import Nights car show!
