Judging by the menu, it appears that Hot Pot is the specialty of MYC House, but I tried the Beef Noodle Soup. It was rich and flavorful, and the beef was perfectly tender. We also tried the sausage fried rice, which was also very good.

Hubby and I came here and only realized it wasn’t Liang’s Kitchen anymore after we sat down and were handed menus. Oops. I don’t think any of the staff speaks any English. I asked the server what he recommended and he gave me a sheepish smile and walked away. Whaaa??? This restaurant’s specialty seems to be hot pot stuff, but we weren’t interested in that. We came for noodles and that’s what we ordered. I got the standard beef noodle soup and hubby ordered an off-menu item… kinda. He asked if the pork chop rice could come with noodle soup instead of rice. Boss lady of the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate — I think she really wanted a sale. She basically face palmed the server like«Duh! Don’t you want them to eat here?!» in Chinese. Funny stuff. Hubby’s pork chop noodles were really, really good. The breading was different than Taiwanese style pork chop and very flavorful. My beef noodle soup was just ok. The soup was too salty for my taste and not very fragrant as a true beef noodle soup ought to be. The meat did not soak up enough flavor of the soup or if it did, the soup was not flavorful enough to tell. The texture of the noodles was perfect though — not too firm or soft. The meal was good but not amazing — there are other way better beef noodle soups out there. Price are affordable. Our two bowls were right under $ 15 bucks. Bottom line: We had better than a one star experience. Hubby wants to go back for those pork chop noodles so I’ll have to try something else next time.

I came in here not knowing that it wasn’t Liang’s Kitchen anymore. After seeing the 1 star review, I was a bit nervous. The server was a nice boy who didn’t seem to know any English. So had to bust out my rusty Chinese. Got my ice water aight, and had them get me some hot tea. Ice water+Hot tea=Ice tea. Food: Didn’t see Porkchop noodles on the menu, but I saw Porkchop with rice. So I requested Porkchop noodles. It came out pretty well. It was a clear broth as expected, and they put the porkchop in there so that gave the noodle soup an extra good seasoning. That noodle was only like $ 7.00, for dinner, that’s worth it just to try. Sorry to hear that 1 star review from Hattaya, it’s worth it to try. They mainly have Mainland chinese food. So it’s always a bit harder to find out what is good.

My spicy beef and rice noodle dish looks nothing like the picture on the wall. I was going to ask for some explanation, but the waiter doesn’t speaks English. They don’t have ice tea, but carry Ching Taw and Corona. If you want soda, they got Coke and 7up. Bring ice if you want cold drinks, I got 3 ice cube in my water. The food is OK after a whole lot of hot sauce, then again even shoelaces would test good with this much hot sauce! The Unilocal sticker on the door must have been from the previous tenant since I am the first person to review this place! I don’t think will be going back there again anytime soon.
