Las Tunas Smog Station

Came on a Saturday afternoon about 4pm. Was in and out in about 25 minutes, and I had to wait for one car ahead of me to finish. Lee is very professional and polite.
I brought in an older car, so the cost was $ 45, but overall satisfied with the service. They give the printouts and submit it to DMV for you, so everything is really straight forward.
Just call ahead of time to check to see if there is a wait. I will come back here for any other smog check needs.

Great fast and friendly customer service from Lee. For newer cars the smog check is $ 35 and for older cars that require the test only is $ 49.95. Better rates than most places around the SGV area. Just call ahead to see how busy he is as it’s just him working there. Definitely will be back!

Lee was super nice and super fast with my smog check! I came in on a random weekday and actually came here because I went to another place a few blocks away but their technician was out for another hour. I was on a time crunch and decided to give this place a try.
I was done in less than 20 minutes and I paid $ 35! He was super nice and made sure that I was out of there quick. Thanks Lee! I’ll be back in the future.

Quickest and cheapest smog check in the area. Had one customer ahead of me but total process took less than 15 minutes. Only cost $ 35 for a sedan. Other nearby places quoted me at least $ 45. Will definitely come back again.

Most smog check shops charge $ 50 for smog checks for cars year 2000 and up. This place changes 35. What a deal and service is quick

Quick service very affordable $ 35 cheapest in area. I called around. Lee is a very personal me likable guy and I had to pick up my son from preschool by 5:30pm so he helped me out! Really appreciated the excellent service ! And cold AC. Plus free wifi

Amazing fast and friendly service. When I say fast, I mean like 10 mins max just as long as it isn’t poppin when you get here. Been here twice and both occasions were beyond satisfactory.

I failed last smog due to an intake issue somewhere else, came here because previous owner said it passed a year ago. The guy asked for my paperwork from previous smog. He gave me a smog test already knowing it was going to fail. Didn’t even bother telling me it’s still going to fail just went ahead and charged me anyway.

We called Lee around 12pm on a Saturday after we’d found out another smog check facility charges more for V6. His price $ 35 is pretty reasonable. Lee is friendly and efficient. The smog check was done within 10 minutes! Luckily, there was no wait when we got there. While we were waiting, 4 other cars went in almost simultaneously. We didn’t have any problem with DMV record reporting. My registration was mailed to me after 2 weeks.

Been coming to this smog station for years, brought at least 10 different cars. Not once have I been disappointed. The place isn’t fancy, but the guy is QUICK and that’s most important to me when I’m running boring errands like this. As a bonus he’s very friendly.

Been coming here, for the past 5−6years. Brought my Civic Si, S2000, Prelude, accord, corolla, Honda fit and Z4 here. All good deals and nice service. It gets busy sometimes but the AC/​TV waiting room is good in hot days.

Brought my 2013 VW Jetta TDI for a smog check after being referred to this place bc apparently not all smog check stations can smog check diesel cars.
I called around checking prices and mechanics thought I was incompetent for inquiring a smog check bc my car is still new. Nope! Every 2 years bc the 6 year exemption doesn’t apply to diesel cars.
Don’t waste your time. Just take your diesel car here every 2 years for a smog check. The guy here is nice. He closes at 6, which is later than some other places I checked but call if you come a little late. He will stay to help out. His price is reasonable and a little cheaper compared to other smog stations in the area.

Do not go here for the smog test: I had my smog test done here for my routine DMV registration. Several problems: 1) DMV never got the smog test result so I got an incomplete registration notice from DMV telling me to perform the test again, which made my registration renewal late, costing me extra $ 100. 2) When I complained to them that DMV never got the test result, they spoke in broken English that it could not be true and that because it had passed three months, there was nothing they were going to do about it. 3) I had to wait over one hour for a simple smog test, which is unacceptable.
In summary, do not ever go here.

I will never ever go to this smog place again, he yelled at the grandma in front of me and surely maybe he have a bad day??! He’s rude, lack of manner and indeed bad service! I waited for 1 hour for waiting! When I ask him «why taking so long?» He just refused to smog my car and tell me go to other place!!! Very rudely business manner! Imagine my headache when the DMV registration notice came in the mail and my car needed to get a smog test along with $ 120+ registration fee for 2013. After looking online for a few places, Las Tunas Smog Station came up with plenty of good reviews. I figured I’d give it a shot.
Lee, the owner (I think), is extremely nice and very accommodating. Advice: Call him ahead of time and he’ll quote you cheaper than if you walk-​in. It was $ 35 TOTAL to get the test and have it electronically transferred to the DMV. About the cheapest from all the places I’ve called. The whole test took about 12 minutes from start to finish.
The establishment was very clean and wasn’t too busy. I recommend his services to anyone needing a smog.
