This is a must go to flower shop. My brother in law always buys my sister flowers here and I am always so jealous. And my sister loves them too. I think she has like every color in HK wraps imaginable. Recently my girlfriend bought one for me too and I finally know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of these flowers! I was so happy! So happy. My friends birthday is coming up, I will definitely get my flowers here

I’ve been coming to flower genie since my high school prom; 8 years later I still come for every birthday, wedding, graduation and every other event. They have really perfected the «hong kong style» wrap and their glittered roses are always the center of attention at any event they are present. I bought my girlfriend a hong kong style wrap for her graduation and she was the envy of many other girls (to her great pleasure). I will honestly probably continue to come here for any flower needs forever, unless I move out of state.

I bought a flower for my friend birthday, the flowers here is so gorgeous!!! Genie and her daughter is so nice and they can listen to customer and recommend the best flower for different celebrations! you must go!!!

Best design ever! Showed David a picture of an already posted Unilocal photo to give him an idea of what I’m looking for to give to my gf birthday coming up. He said he can’t guarantee that it’ll come out the same but he will make it look beautiful. He definitely wasn’t lying! Actually it came out better than expected! I have gone to flower genie many times already and have never been disappointed. The more detail you provide and state the occasion for the flowers the better. Just give them a few days in advance to order the supplies (if they don’t have it on hand) and they will make your dreams come true. I plan to have them arrange flowers for me for the rest of my life!

This is long overdue but disregarding my last review on Genies time management, she has reached out and made amends — to crazy full extents!
My boyfriend took it within his liberty to purchase Hong Kong styled flowers for our half year anniversary. Genie remembered him and quickly dropped everything to attend to his ideas and needs. Given, he isn’t much of a creative mind when it came to choosing colors and flowers so Genie personally spent awhile with him on discussing what looks good or doesn’t. After that, the pricing she gave my boyfriend was unbelievably affordable. I believe it was under $ 50 for red, white roses and a few pink lilies. It was the most gorgeous thing I’ve seen Genie made! With that being said I decided to give her another chance and go back to her for my prom corsage. but not just mine; about 5+ other orders.
I don’t think I have enough words to express how beautifully done the corsages were. Genie added an extra rose and more ribbons just for mine! She’s truly so sweet and I personally just had a terrible day regarding to my last low review.
My business is now back with Genie and she will be my number #1 floweriest! Please see the picture attachments!

I ordered my best friend HK flowers for her commencement and turned out to be so BEAUTIFUL! Best ever. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff who were arranging flowers and a man took my flower order! He was very friendly and helpful especially when I couldn’t decide on whether or not to have a mix of flowers or pure roses. He was very open to giving me advice and suggestions about how to take care of the roses and which were a better option for commencement. Placed my order and picked it up in a week! Flowers were fresh and the bouquet was very full and beautiful!
Definitely will be my go to florist when it comes to HK Flowers!

While I was placing my order of Hong Kong roses for a gradation with Genie, I could see that she a nice person and also very professional. It wasn’t until after I had placed the order that I found myself chatting with her for possible future projects and events that I may need flowers for. Genie is not only a great person, she also creates great arrangements and her products always come out gorgeous. She showed me pictures of her flowers from many different events including elaborate weddings that were just simply amazing! Will definitely order all my flower needs through her in the future!

This review is long overdue, but I still remember the exceptional service we received from the whole team at Flower Genie.
Almost 9 months ago, my husband and I got married at the beautiful Langham Hotel of Pasadena. We were working on a tight budget especially after we realized how much our venue was going to cost us so we searched and met with many florists around the SGV. None of the florists had the flexibility, quality, vision, and price we were looking for. When we met with Genie and her team, it was a quick and easy decision to hire them as our wedding florists. I will post some photos up of all the gorgeous flowers and center pieces they perfectly delivered for our wedding!
Recently, we used them for Mother’s Day and as usual, the bouquet was gorgeous :)
If anyone is looking for tasteful and elegant flowers from talented and dedicated florist’s that are willing to work around your budget and vision, GO WITH FLOWER GENIE. Thank you Genie, David, and Melody for going above and beyond my expectations for our special day. I can’t forget the huge smile across my face when I saw that somehow you found the brass centerpiece holders I wanted!

When I walked in, Genie greeted my sister and I right away. I wanted to order a corsage and boutonnière set for my prom and she knew exactly what I wanted. I went on her website and showed her what I wanted and she did just that. I got so many compliments on my corsage and I knew that driving 30 – 40 minutes away from home was well worth to have such a beautiful corsage. Also, right before I left… I checked in and got a glittered rose from Genie, herself. She did such an amazing job and I know I’ll be back with my other sister to order her corsage next year.

Quick tips!
1. There is currently some construction going on down the Las Tunas stretch between Rosemead and San Gabriel Blvd., while there is no street parking, the lot directly behind the shop that posts a bunch of towaway notices do allow people to park for Flower Genie.
2. They were able to do a same day flower arrangement for me! This is important for people who are a little last minute like me.
When Flower Genie was at their old location past Rosemead Blvd., I went to them for my corsage/​boutonnière needs for homecoming and prom. As always, their flowers were very, very good quality. But, sometimes you just need to rush in to grab flowers at the last minute for a big event.
After I call around other shops closer to me and get different quotations and time frames for a half dozen Hong Kong wrapped roses, Flower Genie is the only one who quotes me a reasonable price, a reasonable turnaround time, and a reasonable pickup time.
The only hiccup in my case was that the graduation was at 9:00 AM the next morning. Flower Genie assured me that their Hong Kong wrapped roses would be beautiful the next morning even if I picked it up the night before.
The person taking my order gave me some suggestions and options, and assured me that a half dozen roses would be an absolutely beautiful, puffy, and big bouquet. After debating with him on colors, we both settled on pink roses.
When I went to the shop, I was dismayed that there was no curb side parking due to the construction. However, I was able to get in behind where Flower Genie is located and park. There were several signs indicating that the parking lot was not for Flower Genie’s address, but I nervously parked anyway since I was running late for picking up my flowers. Once I got into the shop, they assured me that the other residents along the street were very nice and would not tow Flower Genie customers. So, park behind the building!
When I saw my flowers, I was astounded by how beautiful they were. The roses were dipped in glitter, resting on a huge bed of baby breaths, and covered in pink and red ribbons. There was a glittery pink butterfly on it that completed the bouquet. The roses had bulbs on the bottom to give them food and water to help keep them fresh. I knew my girlfriend would love the bouquet.
I got home and stored the bouquet in a cool place. As the person on the phone promised, the roses were still beautiful. As I walked through the crowd of people heading into the graduates, TONS of people commented on how beautiful the bouquet was. Others were astounded and said they were absolutely unreal. The roses even made me the center of attention, rather than my girlfriend!
Long story short, the roses were wonderful, the service was wonderful, and thank you Flower Genie for saving me from the embarrassment of not showing up with flowers for my girlfriend! Please check out Flower Genie for your flower needs!

I recently bought my corsage and boutonnière here for my prom, the pieces were beautiful, the roses on the corsage was hong kong styled, and I checked in too and got a free glitter rose! The service was quick and they finished everything on time!

Ordered HK wrapped roses — six red roses the same day and was able to pick them up the same day at 410pm, yay!!! I came in at 4pm right as Genie was wrapping up my roses with wrapping papers and ribbons.
Plus, with my Unilocal check in — I also got an extra free glitter rose too :) Genie did mentioned that the extra rose is on the side and cannot be included with the bouquet — kinda bummed that I couldn’t incorporate it into the bouquet, but that’s okay.
I loved that Genie fluffed out my six roses with lots of ribbons, wrapping papers, and baby breaths to make it look big and puffy and the butterfly that came with it was beautiful. Genie then topped it off with the birthday card onto the roses. One star off — i did mentioned to Genie when ordering to include a butterfly and bday balloon and she said okay, but when i picked up, they don’t have any bday balloons — aww :(They got chocolates and stuff animals, but no balloons? Bummer!
As for service: when I came into the store, Genie greeted me and was rushing around getting other bouquets and corsages done — I didn’t mind since I was busy checking out the different HK designs pictured around her store. Afterwards, she came over and assisted me with my bouquet. She had mentioned to me about the rushing since TCHS was having their formal coming up and was trying to get order done and apologized if I felt ignored — I wasn’t. In fact, with the free glitter rose check in with purchase, I can understand that if you’re buying a corsage or any bouquet with purchase and get a freebie — who doesn’t like that, lol!!!
Overall, I dig Flower Genies HK roses and thanks to my Canadian aunt and uncle — the money they sent me to get my own HK bouquet (my mom was raving to them about it over the phone last year that I got one) was awesome and definitely made my birthday :)

Is walked in looking to buy any set of roses for my sis in laws birthday. Walked out with beautiful glittery pink roses. The woman that helped me out was so friendly and kind. Fast & easy. The bouquet was pretty big for just 6 roses! Which I’m sure is a good thing. I mean what girl dosent want a huge bouquet? For sure coming back. Check it out. U won’t be disappointed! This review is for wedding flowers. Genie has been my family’s florist (e.g., birthdays, parties, funerals) for years and so when it came time for my wedding, I knew that Genie would offer me amazing value. However, the planning process and coordination was more involved than I would have preferred.
Genie typically serves the Chinese customer base in the San Gabriel Valley and is best known for beautiful and intricate HK-​style flowers and corsages for high school dances. I would give her a 5 out of 5 review for that. My vision for the wedding, on the other hand, was more American. I worked to ensure that my blush-​colored wedding palette and concept was being conveyed clearly. I also had to source the flower vases myself (she didn’t have something similar on hand). Melody, her daughter that I was communicating with over the several month planning process, must have been as equally frustrated as I was at times when I indicated that my concept was not being translated across.
At the end, Genie and Melody pulled it off! After numerous emails back and forth with lots of sample photos, everything turned out exactly as I had imagined on the big day! It was alot of work on both my part and theirs (I’m sure) to get it right. But the results were phenomenal. Thank you, Genie and Melody for being so flexible and having been a part of my family’s events for so many years! You’ve made my dream wedding a reality!

I came here to pick up a small bouquet of flowers for a girlfriend. I was warmly greeted by Genie herself! When I walked in, there were fresh flowers everywhere. It smelled wonderful. There were a couple of florists making very large, colorful arrangements. I asked for a small red bouquet and Genie brought out a variety of flowers to see which ones I liked. I didn’t really have a preference so she made me a pink and red bouquet. It was gorgeous! She made it in less than 10 minutes and let me choose the color cellophane and ribbon, too. Excellent customer service.

If you are ever looking to purchase a beautiful bouquet for your mom, girlfriend or any kind of special occasions for anyone, this will the place to check out. I have rec’d beautiful HK styled bouquet here in PURPLE! There are different type of purple. I personally liked the dark purple. It was so pretty! Yup, I guess they take special request, just simply pick the color you like.
BTW, the manager Melody is super sweet. She will try any possible way to accommodate your request. So if you have difficulty communicating with others, you won’t go wrong if you just look for Melody. :)
