Who Let the Dogs Out!

I recently took home my first puppy and I wouldn’t entrust anyone else with her care or grooming other than Who Let the Dogs Out. The first time I heard about WLtDO was from friends back in New York who knew I was taking home a puppy shortly after my move to San Francisco and had friends living in the Bay Area who highly recommended WLtDO. Pretty impressive to have reviews cross the country, and now I know it’s for good reason. And the the rave reviews from friends only continued after moving. After my first conversation with Lauren, I instantly knew this would be the first and last stop on my search. I could not be more grateful to have found this service.
The decision to send my labradoodle puppy to playgroup following the vet’s «all-​clear» was not an easy one. I had no idea whether she would keep up with the group, get too tired, be scared of some of the bigger dogs, or maybe too rambunctious for the more mature dogs (who may not like puppy energy all that much) but Lauren and I decided it was worth a shot. I never felt any pressure and knew I could change my mind and hold off longer, but that didn’t happen because my puppy goes to not one, but two playgroups each day. It’s been a full month and she even goes out on the days I work from home (because she absolutely loves it!). Garrett sends me photos and videos of her, leaves me little notes about how she did, towels her off on these rainy days before putting her back in her crate so I don’t come home to a mess, and has helped her so much with leash training that I can now walk her on a loose leash without any issues. She can go off leash with me in enclosed areas, play with dogs in the park so much better now, and gets all the exercise she needs. Not bad for a 4 month old puppy.
A testament to how much I know my dog loves playgroup — on a recent Saturday morning following some time at the dog park that left her exhausted, I opened up a video Garrett sent of the previous day’s off leash play while she was lying down in my lap barely able to keep her eyes open. As soon as she heard his voice on the video, she flipped around with her tail wagging as if it was going to fall off, and was trying to get into the phone while barking at the screen the way she gets when she wants to play. I had to turn it off because I felt bad she didn’t understand he wasn’t there. That’s how much I know she loves it — the sound of his voice saying her name gets her so happy.
This is some of the best money I’ve ever spent and worth every penny. The service is the same, if not less (all things considered), than a walk around the block to do her business with other services. Why would I spend money for that when she can get picked up, get solid training in, have two structured walks, off leash play, and spend nearly 4 hours having a blast outdoors? And their mobile grooming is great too! I had her face trimmed last weekend and the groomer followed exactly the photos I showed her, and she looks even more adorable! Not to mention, WLtDO referred me to my puppy’s vet and I couldn’t be more happy.

Who Let The Dogs Out came to my house on the 10^th of January and did
an outstanding job on my 4 dogs! Nails were neat and short, coats were soft and smelled wonderful, there was no post bath scratching and shaking just a great job.

Used this company a couple of times for grooming a Persian cat. My cat received a lion cut which was uneven and I had to ask them to come back to redo it. The second time I use the service I asked for a flea bath and a haircut. As I left the van with my cat I noticed fleas crawling all over him when I called to complain she said Oh lots of times the fleas jump back on the animals from inside the house, well we haven’t even got into the house so that is not what happened. They offered me nothing no redo. They rush everything so that they can get to the next address. I will not use his company again I do not recommend that anyone does. I believe the persons name was Melissa who did the so called flea bath

This is my second 5 star review for WLTDO. I have been getting my puppy groomed with them for about 6 months and the experience continues to improve every time. I have a skittish pup who can make grooming challenging but Melissa, Paola, and Danielle have worked their magic and groomed her perfectly every time. In the unlikely event any scheduling or other issues have come up, they’ve been addressed honestly and efficiently, always. I would not hesitate to recommend this incredible service-​you and your pup will be so grateful. One hint, book well in advance! They fill up fast.

I was really impressed with the services… Paola, the vet tech who groomed my dog, was amazingly competent, kind, and even gave me a brief summary afterwards (ears may need some vet attention during the next checkup). This was my first service from Who Let the Dogs Out, but it won’t be my last. It was also extremely convenient, and my dog was groomed in less than an hour… so she wasn’t a bit traumatized. One of my ongoing concerns has been the number of hours that groomers keep dogs… most often in cages, and my elderly dog just gets herself all in a twist after a day at the groomers. Who Let the Dogs Out is fast, efficient, and I’d recommend them highly.

Love the mobile grooming! So easy and convenient as well as affordable. My dog is always happy to see his groomers and comes back wagging. Everyone is always to sweet and gentle. This has literally changed our lives!!!

We’ve used them a number of times for grooming and have always been very pleased.
Problem is… they’re TOO POPULAR!
I really have to plan way in advance for an appointment, they get booked-​up.

The humans and the dogs in this house love Who Let the Dogs Out! We especially love Danielle and Paola. Paola came today and groomed both our babies. She is so kind and warm — you can tell just from her smile that she really loves the animals — and does really great work. Both of our dogs are rescues, and she took special care to figure out how to calm down the anxious one, «We just had to hug him the whole time. Then he did okay.» Doesn’t that say it all?!

Garrett is the best dog walker in San Francisco! Always polite, consistent and prepared! WLTDO is the most professional dog walking biz in the Bay Area… After many attempts with not so great dog walkers I was so happy to find Lauren and her crew!

Lack of internal communication. I received nasty emails and calls about paying a bill when I had in fact paid. Very poor customer service and unfortunate as I would have liked to continue with service.

Who Let the Dogs Out expanded into dog grooming a few years ago. As a dog trainer with a walking service, the owner Lauren asked if I would try out the new service and give her feedback. I did so as a favor to my respected colleague because that’s what you do, even though I’d been satisfied with my current resource. For those in the know, the San Francisco dog service ‘scene’ is a pretty tight knit group– the good people know the other good people and we’re always looking for more good resources because we simply cannot work ²⁴⁄₇ and need more excellent services to use and refer. So, before I sent any of my dog training or dog walking clients to them, I sent my sweet Lefty as a guinea pig. And I was ecstatic with the results. My dog and I fell in love with Melissa, and for more reasons than just her artistry. She’s incredibly talented and kind. She is professional yet personable and sincere in a very down home way. She is timely and accurately estimates groom time. Also, she’s always thankful of my business, even when my doodle is a sloppy, furry, sandy, and sometimes a rolled in something stinky mess.
So now here we are present day, and I realize I’ve been errant in praising these services, with the exception of tipping my groomer. Thank you WLTDO groomers. You make me happy as a consumer. My dog always looks great after his spa time with you. You also uphold my reputation for sourcing great resources, and my walking and training clients (particularly the puppies that need to be socialized to the process early) give me great feedback too.
So, if you’re reading this review trying to make a qualified buying decision that ensures your pups safety, happiness and beautiful groom, let me tell you this is a trainer and #thedoodlemafia approved service. Many of my clients and myself book standing appointments. WLTDO is happy to accommodate such a schedule (and with all the other things we all have to keep track of in our lives, this aspect makes it that much easier). So I say yes, two thumbs, four paws and five stars up for this biz.

This review is for Who Let the Dogs Out mobile grooming services. I highly recommend Melissa — she did a perfect job on my Silky Terrier, who is quite temperamental. Melissa is very patient, kind and professional. I love that they have «door-​to-​door» service, which makes it even more convenient.
This is the third mobile grooming service I’ve used and I’ll definitely stick with WLTDO.

My roommate in SF had taken Rue to other groomers and they didn’t listen to directions to trim her mutton chops on the back of her legs. They made her look super bulky and it wasn’t something she had as a puppy and she really still has that puppy look to her, which we love so we opted to trim it down. She got an all around wash and cut and was fully pampered. The only downside was they were a bit late and pretty costly. But at least they did the job they were paid to do. I wish I had known about the Unilocal deal before he set up the appointment because he spent $ 120+

Hands down the best groom my dog has ever had! They know how to cute the Shih Tzu face perfectly :)

After having some bad luck with previous dog walkers, I was overwhelmingly happy when Who Let The Dogs Out told me they had an opening in my neighborhood! My high energy pug absolutely adores Garret and gets so excited when he comes by to pick her up. Garret leaves me a little note every day about their adventure which I appreciate more than he knows!
What an excellent company to work with, very reliable and super convenient (you can pay monthly online, board with your particular walker, etc). Highly recommend!

Excellent service. This was our first trial with «Who Let the Dogs Out!» Our groomer was running 15 minutes late, and gave us a call to let us know she is running a bit behind. She then parked and walked over to our building to meet us, we all walked back to the van with our dog for his cut. It was refreshing that she was aware of the comments I left about the way our dog needs to be handled. She asked questions and we showed her how to pick him up, etc.
It took about 2 hours total, and she brought him back to the building, he was happy to see us, and he was happy with the groomer (Danielle). She was also honest that he squeeled about when his ears were being cleaned.
Overall, very convenient and friendly.

Yesterday was Lucy’s «Spa Day»…
This was my first time trying this mobile grooming service WHO LET THE DOGS OUT and I have to say, it surpassed all expectations.
Lucy’s groomer was Danielle (I hope that’s right, I’m so awful with names-​sorry) and she was very kind and gentle to Lucy. I really appreciate that!
Lucy had the works. A nice bath, clip, cleaning & she looked just AMAZING. I was really happy with the whole experience. Not only did Danielle arrive early (she phoned first) but the whole spa only took an hour.

I totally recommend WLTDO.

Second time to use this and still had a good experience. It was the different person from last time and she was so on time. My neighborhood was super difficult to look for a parking. I was kinda worried in the beginning but she was so on time.
The girl (forgot her name. sorry) was so friendly and professional. I just told her I wanted «puppy» look for my dog and the cut was so prefect.
After 1.5 hours, she took my dog back. I was very happy about it and most importantly my dog looked happy too. Although it was a little expensive than other grooming shops, definitely worth it.
