I was able to wire my security deposit, but then was told that the only way to submit rent is to mail a check 5 days in advance to a PO box in LA, or drop off the check 45 minutes away in San Francisco. This is really inconvenient for me because of the dates my other bills and paycheck fall on, and especially annoying since there was no issue sending payment electronically the first time around, when they were looking to fill a vacancy. The apartment is tiny and expensive, which is typical for the area. There’s no good way to get packages delivered, since only USPS has a key and the buzzer system doesn’t work. The coin operated laundry situation is pretty dismal as well. All in all, an underwhelming experience. I will be moving when my lease is up.

I started renting my apartment from them about 6 months ago. There were a lot of prospective tenants but the process went smoothly and efficiently. The management of the place is good and so far I have not had any complaints from them. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was very disappointed by the professionalism of this company. I put in an application for an apartment and they called to accept me. When they asked me my move in date I said I preferred Feb 1 but could move in earlier if there was competition for the place. They said it was fine as long as it wasn’t after Feb 1. I said I’d come in the next day to sign the papers and give them the exact move in date(since it was possible it would’ve been earlier). They said that was fine. At about 6:05PM that very day they called to say they had offered the place to someone else who had«more steady income» and«better credit.». They said in addition he was willing to move in that week. Here’s the thing. They could’ve said that they would offer me the place only if I was willing to move in earlier, but they didn’t. They offered me the place and then went against their word. And they had the gall to say it was because he had better credit and a more steady income. I have excellent credit and more steady income then pretty much anybody but a gov’t employee at this point in the economic client. If you are going to be sketchy and immoral and most likely just offer it to someone who offered to pay more when they found out that the place had already been offered to somebody else, then do not blame it on the victim. I would never rent from these people at any point in the future or have anyone I know buy or rent with them either. Absolutely awful.
