Van Ness Dental Care

First experience — WooHoo!
I’ve had a bit of a sad progression with dentists since moving to the city a couple years ago and had put off going (dumb, but sometimes emotions get the better). I think I may have found THE dentist.
Dr. Ho is super friendly. He greeted me before I even filled out the new patient paperwork. Then I found out how incredibly professional he is. He should teach other dentists how to be dentists!
The initial examination is the most thorough I’ve experienced, and Dr. Ho explains everything. He takes a lot of notes, and he takes a bunch of hi-​res digital images inside your mouth so you can see what he observes and discuss what should be done. He doesn’t do x-​rays unless necessary — YAY!
Dr. Ho performed the cleaning himself, quick and excellent. He offered me a video… I like to close my eyes during cleanings but a Bill Evans Jazz Concert was a welcome surprise.
Dr. Ho’s wife runs the front office and she has also been super friendly and efficient. I feel like I’ve just been to a great small-​town dentist, but with all the new tech advantages. Check out Dr. Ho’s credentials, they are pretty amazing.
The office is on Bush at Van Ness… parking was super easy… they told me there are always spots in front of or near the office, and I believe them. They even set an alarm and fed the meter before it ran out! Unbelievable, but most welcome.
Oh, insurance… we have Aetna, not that common, but accepted here along with a number of others.
Highly recommended!!! Don’t put off being nice to your choppers… go see Dr. Ho! I’m actually looking forward to going back!

I fear 3 things in life: Spiders, Sharks and the dentist. Which is why I was so surprised to finally have great experience. Dr. Ho was so patient, he actually put me at ease. I needed a filling fixed, and they were flexible with my schedule, and worked with my insurance. They even have personal streaming movies you can watch while getting work done. I have never had an experience like this before, I would highly recommend them.

I went here for an appointment after school. They are nice and they clean my teeth.
