Disposable cellphones include about $ 10 of airtime at 9 cents per minute, but you have overhead cost and you are stuck with a cheap-​ass phone after paying maybe over 50 USD.
With TripTel, your cost is about 49 cents USD per minute, but a voice-​only service phone is 3 USD per day and you have no overhead as you give back the phone. So, if you use your phone only sparingly, it can be a good deal and you aren’t stuck with garbage afterwards. Plus, no special network to sort out, no special customer service number to call to top up your call credits, etcetera.
It’s an interesting service that’s worth a look if you are not in the US for long.

The website says this place closes at 9:30pm. So we went there after our 9pm flight arrived only to see the lady there closing up shop 20 minutes early. We asked her when she closes. She says 9:30pm. I say it’s 9:05pm. She says that she starts closing at 9pm. I say she’s full of crap and that I would take my business elsewhere.

They sell knockoff Apple chargers at Apple prices. Want $ 5 from customers for a plug in the power charger. Basically try to take advantage of stranded travelers, avoid if possible.
