Established in 2010.

This business was created by Maria Barron in September of 2010. Through her years in the health insurance field, Maria noticed that most people did not understand their health insurance plan and did not access all the benefits due them. She also noticed that people often thought they were covered for benefits that were not included in their policy. And navigating the various health care systems was overwhelming. She created Claims Plus Consultants so that people would have someone to advocate for them in the maze of health insurance. The legalese of health insurance language is so confusing. Our consultants have over 75 years of experience between them. Our experience is there for your gain. I worked in the health insurance industry for 30 years. I processed medical, dental, vision, prescription and disability claims. The majority of my time was in 3^rd party administration for a variety of unions-​Plumbers, Printers, Teachers and Municipalities to name a few. During this time I learned to fully comprehend policy language; know procedure codes;understand Medicare and Medi-​Cal; and have the ability to see the whole picture. As a claims manager for the last 8 years, I helped design health plans to fit the client. Particularly in those years as a manager, I realized that many people do not understand their health plans. Too often the latest explanation of benefits from your plan is tossed in a drawer and the doctor’s bill is paid without question. Or you become ill and find your policy does not cover your illness. Health insurance is a very important benefit. CPC wants to make your relation with it stress free and ensure you receive what you pay for.
