Tibet Stars is a Tibetan owned store headquartered on 1707 Haight Street in the beautiful Bay city of San Francisco. We work with artisans living in India, Nepal, and other countries to help support these artisans. We offer to the locals and tourists who visit our small shop: Hand Selected Jewelry, Jewelry made by Tibetans here in the U.S., Clothing, Hand-​rolled Incense, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Tibetan Buddhist Ritual Items, Artisan Handicraft, Accessories, and more…

We hope to build not just a customer base of those here and those who have traveled far and wide to visit us, but to create a community that supports the Tibetans, Nepalese, and other people we share loving kindness and compassion with.

Hello & Taski Delek! Welcome to Tibet Stars! Tibet Stars is the dream and vision for us. It is a special place touched by our Tibetan spirit and passion.

We are Tibetan refugees who have made San Francisco our home. We are running a small shop off the famous Haight Street in the Haight Asbury section of SF. We sell goods that come from Nepal, India, and Tibet. We also handmake jewelry at our shop and are proud to create our own jewelry here in San Francisco.

This store is a unique collection of all types of Asian from Tibet, Indian, and everything hippy. It’s tightly packed with clothing, jewelry, soaps, blankets, rugs, bookbags, and much more! Everything looks like items you’d find in India. Pretty although a little overpriced. Ambience is good.

Tibet Stars is one of half a dozen Tibetan/​Nepalese jewelry shops along busy Haight Street.
One of their specialties is silver. I was shopping for pendants and rings and found some really nice gifts here.
If you like moonstone, turquoise, opal, citrine, amethyst, jasper etc., you’ll find a decent selection of pendants, rings, earrings, necklaces and more.
Compared with stores in Sacramento and Davis, sterling jewelry prices in the Haight are about 25% less. You also can ask for a small discount if you’re paying in cash.

Lhakyi made me some earrings to match a blue opal mala. She made the mala herself from beads purchased in Tuscon. She was very warm and the shop is well organized.

Tibet Styles has changed. Ugyen Dolma has deferred to her niece, Lhakyi and the wonderful shop is now known as Tibet Starz which is still located at 1707 Haight Street. Lhakyi is quite talented and makes wonderful jewelry. Dolma still works in the shop but now has time to spread joy up and down Haight Street. The Haight thrives on tourists seeking to partake of that special time «The summer of love.» With so many pricey shops to choose from, I can heartily recommend that you visit Tibet Starz, where you will find authentic Tibetan goods: Incense, Singing Bowls and more. The clothing is first rate but not overly priced. Every time I travel to San Francisco, visiting Tibet Starz is a highlight. Go and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

I discovered this shop while shopping on Haight. It is a clean and well lighted enviroment. Very nice to browse in and has a lot of real authentic hand made Tibetan jewelry and clothing.
They also have some real nice singing bowls that are used for Tibetan meditation. They are very relaxing to use and they sound really soothing.
The people are extremely friendly and very helpful in answering my questions about using the meditation.
This is now becoming a regular stop when I am in the neighborhood.

My mother in law was visiting and popped in here solo when we were shopping in the Haight. The next day I saw her purchase — a seashell necklace with the price tag of $ 149. Upon closer inspection, the chain wasn’t sterling and one of the shells was cracked too! I feel like she got totally rooked for some junk jewelry that should have been no more than $ 10 but at that point it was too late (she was going home) and I didn’t want to make her feel bad about her purchase.: (

I concur with all the other enthusiastic reviews for this unique little shop. Dolma is truly a spiritual presence and will give you heart-​centered guidance in finding the perfect thing that you are seeking. I purchased one of her singing bowls (most are from Nepal) and got a lesson in Tibetan meditation in the bargain. Go to Tibet Styles with an open mind and an open heart and you will surely emerge satisfied and delighted!

Spent at least an hour there «testing» diffferent singing bowls — what an experience. Dolma softly guided me through the procss eventually helping me to decide in favour of the bowl I liked most. Today the bowl arrived — and it’s the perfect match.
Would looove to get fuurther spiritual guidance by Dolma.

What to say about Dolma and her store? Not only does she have incredible jewelry, she is very accommodating. The entire time I was there she did whatever she could to make sure sure I was satisfied with my decision. It was also nice seeing her use psychology with regard to the piece I was looking for. In addition to that she’s a very sweet woman and you can tell she’s very spiritual, which I can appreciate. I highly recommend shopping there if you’re into tibetan jewelry and accessories.

I love Dolma and her store. I came across them today at the Haight Street fair. I bought a Tibetan necklace and some earrings. What a great store and a wonderful woman! To have her chant over my jewelry and discuss Buddhism with her was fantastic.
They are the real deal and have some beautiful Tibetan pieces I will be back!

Sure, it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s a find for unique & super affordable jewelry pieces. You have to scour through the selection to find a piece that grabs you, but there’s bound to be something to strike your fancy. I got some amazing wood carved rings for $ 8 a piece that would easily go for $ 30+ in a boutique in L.A.
There are plenty of containers chock full of rings, bracelets, pendants & all sorts of things to sift through. The rest of the store is full of Tibetan style clothing, décor & other random knick knacks.

almost every single one of my fingers wear the rings I buy here. Rings are my favorite thing here. Most recent ring I got was a garnet ring for my pinkie. I have gotten pendants and earrings from here too, but by far, my favorites are the rings!
Aside from this place, I check out the farmer’s market at the Civic Center on Thursdays, they have the same style of rings and for a good price, you should check that place out as well.

Om shanti… shanti ohm… Oh how I love this place. Nothing is muted here except for the woman at the front. She was very peaceful surrounded by all the vibrant colours of cotton, silk and wool thats seem to cushion each customers step inwards. I played with some of their tibetan singing bowls and I ended up buying one for $ 285. Yes it was an 18th century antique and well worth it! The tibetan lady showed me how to use it and chanted some prayers. I felt like my chakras and aura were cleansed.
As I bounced around the store, I sifted through blankets, shirts, prayer flags, and other tibetan paraphernalia. I can’t say for sure whether this is all fair trade, but i would be dismayed if it wasn’t.
I plan a trip to tibet sometime in the future and I would definitely come back here for some info.

This store rules! I’ve bought many necklaces from here over the years and I always love going here on my visits to SF. Dolma, who runs the store is an amazing spiritual person, she’s been praying for Haiti for days now repeating the Om Mani Padma Hum prayer over and over thousands of times. She is incredible and the jewelry is fantastic here. My necklace pendants from here get tons of compliments and the stones feel great. Many necklace pendants here have the stones open on the backside so the stones rest directly on your skin and that’s super important to me when buying jewelry with stones or crystals. Her family in Nepal handcraft a lot of the large pieces she carries. Long live Tibet!

Dolma has the most intricate jewelry for sale. It’s always a treat to stop by here after a long hard day’s work of shopping in the Haight.
I personally own 3 chunky necklaces and they’re reasonably priced. It’s a good blessing when you are in Dolma’s presence.
She’s very kind, nice, spiritual and friendly.
