These fricking oddballs sucked up all my money!!! for the last 19 years these damn flibbertigibbets have caused me to spend in excess of $ 100 a year buying white clown make up, colored powders, glitter, and eye liner just so I can keep up with them! I won’t even mention the expenditures on Fabric and shoes! 6 INCH ORANGE VINYL PLATFORM HEELS no less!!!
And the PLACES they drag me through! Leather bars and bingo parlors and churches and AIDS fundraisers and breast cancer fundraisers and wedding ceremonies where they forced me to officiate and marry gay couples on the first day gay marriage was legal in California!!! OMG and the Prop 8 rallies they dragged me to! FIVE of them in one year alone!
And they’ve ruined my social media experience. now I’m appearing in gay ass make up all over Facebook and people keep writing me saying the most embarrassing things like, «You helped me when I was severely depressed» and «I was about to take my own life when I saw your video and it moved me enough to stop and keep trying». Can you even imagine?
STOP IT! You’re making me mean something!

So buy disrespecting the Catholic church on Easter Sunday 1979 it’s belief system, worship & the women who dedicate their lives to their belief, you degrade & mock them & the religion in hopes of getting your mission statement accomplished?!
Even this Homosexual has had it up to here with the bunch of you and, I’m going to nail you to the cross-​get it?!
* I condemn you not because I’m jealous of you for not thinking of this first as one reviewer put it, I’m embarrassed & ashamed that you did this idiotic character assassination & disrespectful useless attempt at humor in uniform first, and it has been allowed to go on this long & especially for things like this:
I’ve seen you around since 1979 on my many trips to The City, always found drag queens funny, their shows etc., entertaining, but doing for charity & what’s infused into your your mission statement by all of you is not entertaining.
So, my first & most disdain inducing encounter with the minions of your organization was in the ‘70s on my first trip to SF, you called the 2 girls I was with [Fish] & told them they smelled as your roller skated around them in the Castro, the ‘90s, when I attended yearly AIDS conferences in SF while I was a Program Director for Positive Steps as you roller skated through one place yelling, «The Republicans & Catholics want us to die from AIDS!», «Jesus Was Queer.»
Then, repeatedly at Living Sober outside the Convention Center spewing you banter; so many people were asking you to leave & most likely relapsed.
Then, I witnessed at functions for different charities groups of 5 – 10 or more of you roller skating around, spewing derogatory remarks to people wearing a cross & smeared your make up on a women’s white blouse because she said she was Catholic & did not appreciate your disrespect-​you mobbed her like a bunch of penguins, which is the term you used to describe Nuns I might add too!
Also, when I saw you come into the bars where I worked as a bar tender from 2004 – 2009, sitting out on the patio of The Brit using a Crucifix as a device for masturbation, playing darts with it, and carrying the Virgin Mary statuette with a hangman’s noose around her neck– you roller skating nuisances should be ashamed!
Finally, as usual you were at The Long Beach Gay Pride Festival and in the Parade too; in case you didn’t notice, I & others weren’t laughing, most were not happy to see you, most didn’t appreciate your motives, and don’t like that you give the people who just might start to understand & accept our genre are beginning to realize there are many facets to the LBGT community, that we are good people and just different; your way of being different only creates chaos, hell on earth & misrepresents your cause & US.
I wouldn’t have you raise money for ANY charity of my choice (I’d rather gargle with glass first), let alone any charity-​you give the LBGT community a bad name, and provide more fodder for the mob mentality than any other organization involved in LBGT rights, I truly believe you contributed very much so (allegedly) to the passing of Prop 8 along with the others who made a mockery of faiths that did not support our [Born this Way] existence.
Your your mission statement is outdated just like ALL of you!
And, you are everywhere there is media, just great, you raise money for charity and you disrespect a religion that just might come around, if you would do one thing:
STOP IT, JUST STOP IT!!!
Go away, not [PLEASE] go away, I mean STOP IT & go away for GOOD, as I and many others of the LBGT community feel the same, I hope that happens one way or another legally & Long Beach Pride was the last straw, you were doing the crucifix defamation too (DRUNK) as kids were watching confused & parents were disgusted, I & others were too!

The sisters should stick to their small private fund raising EXCEPT they should NOT be allowed to sponsor large street events as they cannot do it correctly. A lot of damages and problems they and the city ignore.
I called and left messages. several times to talk to some about their event management and no one ever returned my calls. I believe many residents and building owners are not so excited about the unmanaged events they sponsor and the damages we receive from them.

What can I say??? One word and feeling comes to mind… LOVE!

If you are up or a great entertaining time… these Nuns will rock your world and make Bingo like no other. But of course don’t yell out Bingo unless you really really mean it (you may find out the consequences).
From the charities their inspire and raise money for, to their full of life attitudes, and the fun they all have participating in BINGO, this is something you should do every month! Its fun, it raises money, and brings your friends together to have a blast!
You will not be disappointed!!!

What is there not to like about drag queens with nun inspired outfits? Anyone that condemns then for what they do is simply jealous because they didn’t think of the idea first. You gotta see the Sisters!

What’s not to love about a big hairy bearded man in nun drag with piles of makeup and glittery-​feathery-​sparkly madness? I have had the pleasure of knowing several Sisters and they are darling, big hearted people. The organization does some great work for charities and it’s just not a festival or a party if there aren’t Sisters made up and attending! You just haven’t lived til you have had a gay bearded man in make up try to drunkenly French kiss you!

30 years ago, visiting San Francisco, I came across 3 men dressed in Nunish drag w/​white faces and outrageous makeup. They were raising money for some good cause, and as I approached to donate, the biggest Sister turned to face me, and did she have a face! Wow! Like someone threw up all the color in the world around his eyes and lips! Amazing! Appalling!
Since then, everywhere I go in the City as a resident, I see a Sister here and there. And I smile.
Clearly this city is big enough and good enough to encourage the individual to blossom and bloom, and the Sister’s are one of the best flowers in our bouquet! Thank you, all Sister’s past and present and future!

The Sisters are uniquely San Francisco and such a huge part of the community! You can’t help but fall in love with them! They are a little bit mockery, little bit chaos and a whole lot of glitter and good work for charities!
My Fav Sisters Moment was when I was walking in the SF Aids Walk in GG Park. After being booed and spit at by all of the crazy super religious right, we came around the next corner to find The Sisters trying to drown out the crazys with their «I Love You!» & «Thank You!» cheers! Greatest group of cheerleaders ever!
They come out for all the big events and hold a lot of very positive events for the community! Regardless of your religious beliefs, you have to appreciate a group of people that dedicate their time to raising money for a good cause to help out their fellow humans!

Who can’t LOVE the Sisters? I mean, if you’re offended by the work of the Sisters, then you must be offended by charity, community service, and joy. They do the work that most churches pretend to do, like caring for ALL people, not just those that tithe.
Long live the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence!

It really is not a holiday in San Francisco without the Sisters!
I mean, where else in the world could a group of good: snicker: church going: snicker snicker: boys, after church and brunch (with bottomless mimosas) run into a whole battalion of Jesuses (Jesi… whats the plural of Jesus here?), including those on roller skates, intermingled with big furry men in nuns habits (wearing ear boobs)?
Really, that might be the best Easter I have ever had. in my life.

They rule. They have redeemed Catholicism.
Boundless love and respect for the sisters!

Have loved The Sisters forever!
The «Incorporated» thing scared me until Sister Barbie set me straight…oh dear, I mean, she explained that it allows for tax deductible donations, which I did not know about. All that makeup and those habits (and we’re only talking about their clothes) are pricey. The girls need our help and support so that they may spread their good cheer and fabulous fashion sense to help those in need. Mother Theresa could have taken lessons from our beloved Sisters.

These sisters really know how to party. We saw them all over Dolores Park before the Big Wheel Race and they were all so friendly and genuine. I had no idea what was going on… I just thought it was some random Easter gathering SF style. The queens had such amazing make up and costumes. They’re fabulous and they do good work. I’d like to thank them for making my Sunday anything but ordinary.

What a wonderful group of people with such a great cause. The Sisters have done some extraordinary outreach work especially concerning HIV/​AIDS. And by making a joke out of the Catholic church and it’s convents, and mixing in the fabulous drag element makes it that much greater.
Any group that goes out and makes a scene, I have major respect for.
The Sisters can be found at many public free events around SF, or sometimes just walking around the mall in full drag. How cool is that?
I’ve met quite a few sisters and I have not met anyone with bigger hearts and more passion and drive to make a change and help the community.
Anyone who says this group is offensive is a judgmental homophobic prick who does not understand satire, or really what the sisters are all about.

The big 5 for the sisters! What a wonderful group of people who brighten the days of anyone they come across. Firstly, they are nuns with CRAZY makeup. If you’ve ever done 300 performances of the sound of music you’d know how many nun-​habit jokes there are and *these* sisters know ‘em all.
Secondly, they do selfless work for great charities which is more than I can say for many of the so-​called «good Christians» I know.
Third, they smile at me on the street when I excitedly say hello. That is nice. Not even Cinderella at Disneyland smiles at every adorable girl that follows her around.
Oh and Forthly (forthly?) Bill O’Reilly hates them (mostly because he’s ignorant and didn’t really research the group in the first place) which is prime reason for us to give the love.
Last but not least… They run BINGO! Hello? It doesn’t get more awesome.

As an atheist (I’m far too highly educated to be religious esp christian) and I really appreciate the mockery they make of such an evil empire.
Also, through them I learned about funding for queer artists, so if you’re an artist and you’re queer, you might want to get in touch…

I find this group offensive. It is an insult to women who have dedicated their lives to religious work and helping others.
And they are way overexposed. Give it a rest, already.
With all the great things the gay community has lost, it saddens me that this one lives on.

Though their ranks are filled with bearded ladies this is no freak show! This is an awesome organization that fills a very large gap in HIV/​AIDs fundraising and outreach. It’s like Mother Theresa for the LGBT community. But with better fashion sense.
I’m totally going to hell now because I just inferred that Mother Theresa had no fashion sense. But seriously? The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence prove that not only can you help the needy you can also do it with a FIERCE (said like RuPaul says it!) look.

The Sisters of Preptual Indulgence are a great group of sista’s.
They stand for a great cause… and are huge supporters of the gay coummity…
