The Panting Pooch is an insured, dog*tec and PetTech certified City of San Francisco Commercial Dog Walker that provides affordable dog walks, doggy daycare, pet sitting and more. The Panting Pooch uses Pet Check Technology to bring you real-​time GPS tracked walks to assure you of the quality of walks your pooch receives. You will receive email alerts at the start and finish of every walk that include a GPS map and a report of what your pooch did on his or her adventure.

The Panting Pooch transports pooches to the best off leash dog walking locations in San Francisco such as Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, The Presidio, Mountain Lake Park and more. The Panting Pooch uses the ideal vehicle transportation methods established by The City and County of San Francisco Animal Care & Control to safely transport your pooch.

As a dog*tec certified dog walker, The Panting Pooch pledges to use only humane training approaches. The Panting Pooch is committed to using only scientifically sound, positive training methods with all dogs in its care. The Panting Pooch also pledges to adhere to The dog*tec Business Code of Ethics.

History

Established in 2011.

In 2011 Lane Gunsolley, the founder of The Panting Pooch, left his successful nearly ten year career in the banking industry to pursue what made him happiest: being surrounded by the joy of dogs. In 2012 Lane graduated from The dog*tec Dog Walking Academy. Lane has furthered his education in canine behavior and training by completing Pet Addict’s Dog Behavior & Psychology Course in 2015 and Karen Pryor’s Dog Trainer Foundations course in 2016.

While growing up in a small rural town in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State Lane formed a strong love of nature and being outdoors. After completing courses at The Art Institute of Seattle, Lane began a career in banking which eventually brought him to San Francisco in 2005. No matter where on the globe he may be, Lane will always consider the great City of San Francisco his home.

Lane is the proud guardian of Harlow, a four-​year-​old «Teacup» Chihuahua and the late Crow, a Golden Retriever and Chow Chow mix. Lane and Crow shared 15 years of great joy and adventure together. Lane hopes to assist you in providing your pooch the long, healthy, happy life that Crow enjoyed.

Lane would like to thank his clients for sharing their best friends and allowing him to share in some of the happiest times of their pooch’s lives.
