Tour of San Francisco in classic VW convertibles equipped with state of the art GPS preloaded with over 40 famous San Francisco destinations. Directions available in over 20 languages. You can video every twist and turn of your tour with the HD Video Camera operated remotely from within the car. You tour on your schedule. Go wherever you want and stay at each destination for picture taking, picnincking or whatever you choose. Everyone can be in the video at each location utilizing the remote control. Each car can seat up to 4 people. Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Ocean Beach, Lombard (crooked street), Coit Tower, Chinatown, North Beach are just a few of the destinations you can visit. If you’re a resident, this is perfect to show visitors your beautiful city and provide them with a video of their visit. History

Established in 2012.

The Bugster Experience started from an idea several years ago. When the bugs were restored and accessorized they were very appealing. It seemed that VW Bugs struck a chord with virtually everyone. You had one, or the boyfriend had one or your Dad or other family member had a bug. They are still fun to drive and when restored offer a unique touring experience. Additionally, the convertible adds another element to the experience. The addition of the GPS pre loaded with those famous San Francisco destinations has been very popular and people really enjoy the HD videos.

The original thought was that people that came to the city and hadn’t rented a car would see them on the street and would rent them because of their uniqueness and history with San Francisco. Now, a large part of the business is done, not spontaneously on the street, but via the internet through Yelp and other online resources.
