Surprisingly the food was really good. Burrito was tasty, full of flavors. Seem like next time I’d have to try their smoothies after reading all those comments about it. Good spot on this campus

Get a mango smoothie and a veggie burrito on a flour tortilla with black beans. They might as well name this order after me. I am here practically every day, and my boss knows that when I go on my break I am about to ask if she wants anything from Taza. They know that when I order a burrito, I’d like sriracha on the inside and double sauce. And that is why I keep coming back. Thanks Taza for being close to work and delicious and having such cheery cashiers who deal with me coming back every single day!

The short girl with the carpal tunnel brace is unpleasant to deal with. Not only is she impatient and rude, but she looks unhappy to be working there and as a customer, it’s kind of annoying. I don’t recommend the Tandoori Wrap because the first time I had it, it tasted more like rice than anything else. By San Francisco standards, the burritos are okay, but they’re nothing special. I do, however, recommend the quesadilla with chicken inside. It’s a little overpriced, but it’s not bad at all. Overall, I would only come here for the smoothies, and the tropical guava is the best one!

Taza has very healthy and delicious smoothies! My favorite is the guava smoothie, it’s so light and refreshing I never get tired of it! I’ve recommended this place to two of my friends and now they are addicted as well! Fast and friendly customer service also!

Of all the different eateries available at State, this one is my go to for lunch based on a good balance of taste quality, waiting time, and cost. They have a wide variety of wraps, smoothies, or burritos and I’ve had an opportunity to try things here and there. But my go to item is the Lamb Gyro. They actually have it on that rotator device and grill everything before your eyes. They use fresh ingredients and I don’t feel guilty afterwards because there are vegetables in the wrap. And of course, it is complimented with a tzatziki sauce. Good portion, leaving you full too. Overall, I left quite satisfied!

Their lamb gyro is delish! They actually use shawarma! And their burritos are 10 times better than the mexican place in the student center. Yummy!

chicken quesadilla costs me 7.34 yet it tastes like nothing. Not worth. And the cheese is disgusting =_= Too expensive, I would rather to get salad from salad bar.

Under no circumstances get the«carne asada» in anything here. It was boiled tofurkey or something. I seriously don’t even what is this. Can’t identify. Will not scan. Other stuff is still fine tho.

My only reason for going to Taza’s for nachos is proximity. Also, the fact that they don’t use processed cheese sauce helps. It has been difficult to find a place on campus with the right balance of price, quality, and service. I decided to try the Black Bean Burrito special, which comes with chips, salsa, and a soda. I did see a listing for a Vegan Black Bean burrito sold on its own. I assumed that the Black Bean Burrito in the special would be a regular-style black bean burrito but when I got to my office, I saw that it was the vegan. It’s bland to the point of being inedible. No amount of salsa can fix that. While not rude, the cashier was rather nonchalant about taking the order. He didn’t ask me what type of soda I would like. As far as I can tell, there isn’t a choice of fountain drinks. You get what they serve and they don’t tell you what that is. I waited for my burrito, then had to ask the cook about the chips, salsa, and drink. I had to go back to the register and wait for the cashier to finish ringing up the customer whose order he’d just taken before I could ask for the soda. While waiting for my burrito, I noticed they hadn’t put the tortilla on the grill for mine. However, the burrito for the person who ordered after me was served. Also, another girl was waiting for her bagel with spread and the cook preparing it was being distracted by a talkative fellow cook. I swear the first cook had swiped the bagel at least four times while Cook #2 rambled on. These were two grown men going on like gossip girls. The girl waiting almost laughed out loud at the sheer absurdity. I had tried giving the cooks some slack — perhaps they are overworked and underpaid. Still, I doubt they show their manager as much disregard as they do the customers whose business covers their checks.

LOVE their gyros, they are seriously one of the best things on campus. I just hate that it’s so far from everything else. Their smoothies are pretty awesome too, I prefer them over Natural Sensations. Their wraps are pretty darn good, and their salmon one is always fresh. You get to pick what kind of tortilla you’d like your wrap or gyro in. I prefer my gyro with salsa to add a little something something, but to each their own! Try it out, its nice and toasty and perfect for any meal. It’s never disappointed before, so why would it now?

I’ve been running into a lot of issues with places around the campus. I’ve noticed that the level of customer service that you get, due to the hiring of college students, is at the bottom of the cellar. Yes you’re in college, yes you have to work to support yourself, but it shouldn’t be reflected in your job. With that said, I had a carnitas burrito, and it was quite good. The scenery at the place isn’t all that great, but it’s good for a quite bite. A bit expensive, you can get a much larger and tastier burrito at other places, and a higher level of service.

I really enjoy the size of their smoothies and for the most part, they’re really good. I would not recommend the Mocha Freeze, or whatever it’s called(it’s coffee based) but that’s not going to distract from the fact that this place is wonderful! Thank goodness for having a place that sells some decent nachos! My boss and I came down here for some nachos today and they were delicious even when they were soggy. The food is made literally RIGHT in front of you, which I enjoy so much. So basically. their smoothie size & quality are an A– and the food is an A(because my burrito I had a couple of weeks ago was on point too!) So yay for Taza! You’ve done me well. I would go to you more often if you weren’t so darn far away from EVERYTHING(well. you’re closer than Café in the Park, that’s for sure. I just. wish you were closer to the main part of campus, haha).

San Francisco State University exists in, what is for all intents an purposes, a food desert. If you are ever unfortunate enough to be trapped on campus during lunchtime, you’ll be faced with a number of unpleasant choices: Shall I brave the line at Ike’s, or try my luck at the places upstairs? Which is less likely to give me food poisoning, the burrito place or the chinese restaurant? Do I really want to eat lunch in a poorly-lit, partially subterranean, neo-brutalist fortress that houses families of pigeons in food prep areas? With that in mind, realize that Taza barely would rate three stars anywhere else in the city, but in the wasteland that is SFSU, Taza is one of the best options around. That being said, their burritos are barely deserving of the name, service can be slow and surly at peak times, and their breakfast options are… lacking, to say the least. However, in this case, the good outweighs the bad. Taza gets major points for being able to make a decent wrap(I’m a particular fan of the chicken caesar and the spicy thai chicken), accepting credit cards, and managing to produce what is, in essence, decent cuisine at a decent price. The mostly inoffensive music is played loud, and on a sunny day(rare as they may be at SFSU) their patio is one of my favorite places on campus to stretch out, people-watch and enjoy lunch while my nearly translucent skin soaks up some sun. Taza, alright.

Not a bad place to run across when you’re waiting for graduation to start and you’re starving! Carne asada burrito is very mediocre. The burrito was good size but the ingredients were bland. What do you expect for a college campus. The salsa didn’t have any kick, so it wasn’t much help to the burrito. Pricing was reasonable. $ 5.95 for a good sized burrito, $ 1.50 for a small bottled Calistoga bottled water. When your options are limited, you take what you can get.

After coming to school here, for about three years, I finally had a chance to try this place out. I wasn’t sure what to expect. There are plenty of things to order from, on the menu. Burritos, quesadillas, smoothies, coffee, etc. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and wanted it as a to-go. The wait wasn’t that bad. Maybe about 5 minutes. My quesadillas. Well, they gave it to me as a «for here,» but I didn’t mind that. They were pretty good. The downside of it was that, they looked as if they were drenched in oil. I only ate the top pieces and threw the bottom two away. I definitely felt bad for wasting food, but man were they super greasy. Overall, I don’t know how many times I’d go back, just because I don’t really eat on campus. I usually just bring my own food.

So far, so good. I’m on campus for 12 hours and I’ve come here for my dinner twice. My first time here I ordered the veggie burrito with black beans wrapped in a spinach tortilla; it was sooo good. I ate my burrito around 5pm and wasn’t hungry for the rest of the night. Today I ordered a Mediterranean style, hummus and avocado wrap in a spinach tortilla with the intent to eat half and save the rest for later. It was so yummy I ended up eating the whole thing. And to make things even better, it was packed with fresh veggies inside! I know there are other places to eat on campus, but this is one of the best places for food I’ve been to so far. I will definitely come back throughout the semester. Edit: Had to reduce my rating by one star. I had their falafel yesterday and the pita bread was stale. As for the falafel itself, it tasted less than average.

I had vowed never to return here, but I accompanied a friend and ended up with a strong urge to get a smoothie. I’m allergic to strawberries, so I ordered a raspberry smoothie and asked the girl at the register if they washed out their containers between usage, to avoid contamination. She made a face and shook her head. I asked, «Seriously, you don’t wash them out?» She made another face, and told me they didn’t. What do you mean, you don’t wash out the containers between smoothies? That’s disgusting and dangerous! I think my cashier was new, because the girl next to her said that they could put in a note to wash the container, WHICHTHEYSHOULDDOANYWAYS. Some of their smoothies have peanut butter in them. Are they playing Russian Smoothie Roulette with all the folks with peanut allergies? I’ll admit, the smoothie was pretty good, but I’m sticking with the 1-star rating for really poor health and cleanliness practices. Shame on me for even thinking I should give this place another chance.

Wow, now it’s been a leaf, strand of hair, and a chipped nail. These people are really starting to lose their creativity. Only found these crazy items in the nachos, though.

This place has the best smoothies on the SFSU campus, and their Tandoori Chicken Wraps are to die for. I really enjoy almost all their food, I just wish they were open longer and on the weekends too! If you are on the SFSU campus during the week and you want bang for your buck, check out Taza!
