Sweet memory is the best. Never go to the Apple Store again. I’ve spilled beer in my laptop, cracked open my screen, and all around abuse my computer. Not only are they always able to fix it but they’re fast, super nice, and they don’t rip you off. No appointment needed. Highly recommend.

Love this place! The team here saved my phone after I thought it was completely donzo. I popped into Sweet Memory on a Friday afternoon to see if my water damaged iPhone was repairable. I was helped right away and they quickly found the problem (ps. don’t soak your phone in rice!). The team was super knowledgeable and friendly and saved me a ton of money and a huge headache. I will continue to come here for all of my mobile and electronic repair needs!

I just realized I’ve never reviewed Sweet Memory and it’s one of my favorite shops in town. The staff is great and they always seem to have just what I need. I’ve also used their services for fixing a busted optical drive in my iMac and they’ve replaced a friend’s iPhone screen and my boss’ iPhone home button. They’ve always provided fast friendly service. I can’t say enough good things about them when friends ask.

So the audio jack on my iPod Classic went on the fritz. I took it to the Apple Store, they said «come back in 5 days with an appointment.» I came back at the appointed hour, they told me they couldn’t fix it but would sell me a refurbished one of the same model for $ 179.00. I found Sweet Memory near work, took in the iPod, they fixed it in two hours for $ 75. This place is an absolute find if you have any Apple problems. Skip the Apple store!

These guys are honest, helpful and reasonably priced. Have bought a few cords /​adapters and also two iphone replacement batteries. They install for ~$ 45 and phone is as good as new. Every heavy phone user should take their phone there once a year. For the price, well worth it.

Iphone 5 glass /​touch screen placement
For $ 120 I got my screen replaced on my iPhone 5. The technician did a fantastic job as it can be tricky to get the screen to seat down properly. I priced two other stores and felt they trying to rip me off. It’s well worth the trip to the city and near a BART and Muni station.

I was in a jam and somehow managed to seriously damage my external hard drive. With a video project due that day, I needed the data that was on it ASAP. The guys at Sweet Mem fixed it on the spot for $ 40! I walked out with a shiny new hard drive (they even upgraded me from the 500 GB that I had damaged to a 1 TB) and was able to get my project done that day. Thank you for saving the day!

I thought it was going to be an easy experience they seemed very nice from the beginning. However, I was told upon dropping off my iPad for a screen repair that I would be contacted with a status update, and I never was so I went to them and asked them about it. They said it would be ready on Friday. Friday rolled around and still not a single word from them so I called again and they said it wouldn’t be ready until Monday morning. At this point they’ve had the ipad for nearly 2 weeks to fix a cracked screen.
Thanks but no thanks, I’ll take my business elsewhere

I have an ancient Dell Inspiron WindowsXP laptop that was sluggishly moving into non-​usability when I decided to finally add some more memory and after shopping around this place seemed like a good choice.
I got 1gb of memory for maybe $ 50 and because it was so simple to install the guy there waived the installation fee. He showed me how simple this was to unscrew a cover and pop in new memory. It works great now!
Located very close to the BART/​MUNI Montgomery station this is a quick place to get some annoying computer issues resolved. Give them a shot if you are not too tech savvy.

My computer flat lined and my school recommended that I come here to see if they could retrieve my important files. Sweet Memory communicated well over the phone and called with updates. I appreciated that they were very realistic about my hard drive’s dismal condition so I didn’t get my hopes too high. After about 48 hours, they were able to save all of my documents and pictures. I am so thankful!

These guys were very helpful. I was referred from them by Radioshack because they are one of the only places in the financial that carries a USB transfer for floppy disks. They were helpful in every way, recommended the best option for my needs. Rather than purchase a full USB transfer, I could just have them transfer it to my USB for only $ 5.00. What a deal! I came back today & now I have all my files that took only 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend coming here.

I would never come here again or recommend this place to anyone I care about.
I don’t know what commenter Russell R. is talking about, but when my husband tried to return a printer cable that turned out to be the wrong thing, they did try to charge him a restocking fee. For a freaking printer cable! They backed off the fee when he balked.
When I needed my laptop LCD screen replaced, they told me I could bring the laptop in for them to get the model number, then take it with me to use until the part came in, and then bring it back to have the new screen installed. Sounds simple, right? Well, a few days after I thought the new screen had been ordered, I got a call from these guys saying I needed to bring the laptop back in because they didn’t get all the numbers they needed the first time. I live in Oakland, so schlepping the computer back into the city was very inconvenient for something that should have been done the first time.
When the screen finally came in, I brought my computer back to Sweet Memory to install it, and they were unable to finish the job in time for me to have my laptop back for the weekend. They said they had to go out and get another part.
Finally, I can’t prove that I was overcharged, but after doing some searching online for screens compatible with my computer model, I’m fairly certain they charged me more for the part than they should have. I will never go back to this place again.

I love this place. They always have what I need, are never too busy, and the staff is well trained. Much unlike the morons at Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc., this is both a computer accessory and repair store with the technicians actually there to answer your questions. Finally, EVERYTHING is cheaper than the big box stores already mentioned. Like 20% plus cheaper and they don’t screw you with «restocking» fees if you return something. I love this place. Patronize them. Local stores like this are rare these days.

I dropped off my Laptop on a Wednesday evening, to my knowledge, not a big problem w/​it. I needed to remove the Addman from it.
I only wish that the counter person would have told me, that turn around time was anywhere from 24 to 48hrs :(.ooh well, They were great in calling me, giving me updates to when I can expect to have it back.
I found sweet memory from a add on craigslist. The price for service seemed very fair.

My PC died and with it all my valuable information, my iTunes, my pictures, and all my important documents. I took over a very temperamental hard drive and they were able to transfer all the data into an external portable drive. They were great! Sam and the people there were great. Got my iphone fixed there and at first there was a small problem because of the part not being in stock but the customer service made up for it, they saw I was upset and made sure they gave me a good deal and were happy to help! Recommend this place for sure.

Appears that it’s main attraction is convenience for those that work in buildings immediately adjacent.
