Styling services include a revamp of you wardrobe, creating stylish looks from your current selection, and personal shopping to update wardrobe essentials.

History

Established in 2013.

Founded in 2013 by Sasha Maksutenko, whose experience as a personal stylist is informed by former careers in interior design and as a 20th century design dealer, and now as an owner of vintage costume jewelry e-​boutique, Sasha Maks Vintage.

Sasha’s jewelry business led her to fashion and personal styling. First for fashion shows and Lookbooks, and then styling looks for clients who wanted to know how and what to wear their baubles with.

«It’s about style, not fashion.» Working with Sasha is time and money well spent! Sasha has an excellent eye for cut, proportion and detail. She works with your goals, lifestyle and budget. She doesn’t impose her aesthetic, but is able to help you push beyond your boundaries a bit to consider new things.
My husband purchased a 6-​hour package (closet edit and shopping session) for my birthday. It’s a great gift and he was pleased with the results too! I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Sasha Maks was an amazing addition to add to my wardrobe. She is the best stylist and consultant bringing forward both flawless style, personable approach AND an understanding of what I want (pending my occasion or needs), she makes the whole process a lot of fun.
Sasha was able to take a few essential pieces and transform multiple looks for me, and mix up the type of occasion. She was able to take me from casual to dressy, to something a bit sassier followed by edgy. I was amazed at how she took classic pieces such as my black crop jacket and transform it into different looks without the pain in buying completely new pieces. I appreciate that from her. She does a great closet audit at first and at a glance can start advising on what suits (you) best to what you can make more versatile, to what may need to just go ;-) It’s truly a fun experience!
While out shopping, Sasha has the most trusted eye. Beyond that, her collection of vintage jewelry is amazing. She has some of the best statement pieces, another way to completely transform a look. She truly takes the time to understand a client’s lifestyle needs with their sense of comfort and personal style.
Can’t wait to use her expertise as I head to NY Fashion Week!

So, I had a fashion problem. I LOVE dressing up and had a lot of fancy dresses and clothes in my closet. I felt pretty on special occasions, but didn’t feel stylish and pulled together on a daily basis.
Sasha to the rescue!
We started with the closet audit, which was super eye opening: I had been buying a lot of things that were too big for me or not right for my frame (I am petite). Also, I had a lot of the same types of things in my closet. For example, a lot of dresses, but then no basic shoes for every day (practicality is apparently not my strong suit). At the audit, I tried on all my clothes, we went through my closet and Sasha helped me decide what I should keep and what I should either consign or donate.
After that, Sasha created a very handy shopping list with items that would be essential to creating a more well-​rounded wardrobe. So helpful! Sasha also helped me to understand the importance of fit and to focus on what looks good on someone with a petite frame like myself.
Sasha is also very talented at styling and putting outfits together. We’ve had several of these types of sessions and whenever I wear one of Sasha’s creations, I inevitably get a ton of compliments. She’s very creative and puts together pieces that I would never think to put together myself.
Circling back to my love of dressing up, I’ve also asked Sasha to style me for some special occasions. She creates the whole look: clothing, jewelry, hair and makeup. I tell you, when I work with Sasha, I feel so beautiful!

Sasha is a fantastic stylist and fun to work with. She has a great sense of style and is highly efficient. She gets detailed info about your lifestyle, personality and your current knowledge/​likes/​dislikes about fashion. She is very knowledgeable about current trends, fit, cuts and vintage styles as well. She considers fit of most importance.
She suggested to me to get a few pieces altered. She always keeps the budget in mind and finds great stuff on sale. Never compromises on fit, style, and color.
Sasha gave me great fashion advice and taught me about buying nice basic stuff. She always mixes and match high/​low price based on the use and style of the pieces. She suggested to me to invest in some basic and statement pieces and also not to spend too much on the rest. She is amazing, she would find pieces which I would have never picked out on my own. When I wear them, they fit and look great and I get tons of compliments on them.
The most important thing I learned from Sasha is the difference between conservative looking clothes and stylish chic pieces. She is super fun to work with, flexible and honest. She has a keen eye for fashion with clothes, shoes, handbags and jewelry. Is bought a few pieces from her vintage jewelry collection. The jewelry pieces are just fab!!! I would recommend Sasha, you will end up owning clothes which you will not regret later, get most use out of them and save some money.

Sasha Maks is a consummate professional with one of the keenest (and most knowledgable) eyes for fashion I have ever seen. She has styled me on multiple occasions and has done a personal shopping session with me in San Francisco. During our session she helped me find pieces I wouldn’t have discovered on my own, and she steered me away from other articles that just weren’t flattering for me personally. She really takes the body, lifestyle and preferences of each individual client seriously. The thing I respect most about her style is that she values fit and garment construction over everything. I think most people (myself included) tend to gravitate towards clothing that we see on the rack, then have a hard time realizing when a piece just isn’t working. Sasha has an excellent eye for fit and design, and I have loved every single piece she has put me in. She really helps me understand how to express myself through fashion, and she is always so pleasant, lovely and kind. Beyond that, her knowledge and collection of vintage jewelry is simply out of this world. I love working with Sasha and turn to her for any wardrobe needs I have!
