Studio Trilogy

I was lucky enough to be invited to a cocktail party hosted by Sosh in this beautiful space. Many of the women couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it would be to hold a wedding reception here. All I wanted to do was break open the grill out on the patio. We all could agree it was an oasis on Bryant.

SF musicians, composers, anyone who makes music, this is a rare jewel of a place to record and create. These folks have a beautiful facility including a large kitchen with a latte machine, a gorgeous outdoor private garden with an outdoor grill, a large studio with an old foosball game, a chill lounge in the front and even an apartment that can rented for overnighters. Everything is kept beautifully clean. One of the bathrooms off the front lounge has prints on photos from the 60’s: a Joni Mitchell portrait right alongside Janis Joplin– inspiring to say the least. I enjoyed the bathroom. That’s how great this place is.
Of course, the important thing is recording process itself. Everyone is very professional, caring, detail oriented and they have the perfect combination of the latest digital recording equipment along side some of the older tube based modules and, to top it off, a seasoned, creative engineer who knows exactly what’s needed for any recording situation.
Bottom line: You’re not dealing with hip, cool lifestyle, music industry wannabes that I’ve run into in all my years of DYI recording. Not that I’ve had terrible experiences in that realm but they just don’t get how to create the right atmosphere for music making. Studio Trilogy is made up of highly professional, caring, detail oriented owners who will work with your budget, who REALLY care about the local music community and you have to work with them to find just how caring they are.

While I don’t have any feedback about recording in the studio, I can tell you about a recent event my team held at Studio Trilogy. We were looking for a kitchen rental space for a chocolate making class and what I found was so much more. Cindy was incredibly accommodating of our team and she exceeded every expectation I could have had as an event planner.
I rented the apartment and it housed our group of 20 people perfectly, although the soundproofed, dim TV room was close quarters for a group that size, we were able to bring in seating from the rest of the space and it worked out great. There was a small room tucked away in the corner (and hidden by a bookshelf) that folks could escape to for phone calls. The main living space was an essential space for our team to just hang out and network. Two luxurious bathrooms meant there was never a line, and Cindy even opened up the backyard so our guests could get some fresh air during our lunch break. She gave us an impromptu tour of the recording studio which was really awe-​inspiring to a bunch of us software nerds. The gourmet kitchen was that of my dreams, home magazines got nothin’ on it. Every detail in this place is well thought out and delight was found at every turn. Don’t think twice, book this space for your next party or team event, you won’t regret it.

First of all this is an amazing studio with very customer oriented service. I have worked there many times and it is a great place to work on any stage of a project. Their mix of modern and vintage gear/​microphones makes it a no brainer to do your next project at this studio. Justin and Willie are two of the most experienced and knowledgeable engineers I have ever met. I can guarantee you will walk out of the studio a satisfied customer.
I would highly recommend Studio Trilogy to my friends.
