Stopped by here for drinks — pricey at $ 20/each but whaddya expect from a nice place. Delicious cucumber gin drink. They muddle the basil which was a great touch. Great place for a formal date night and/or with friends who don’t mind spending a bit more for well made drinks at a nice place.

I love the ambience, vibe and décor of the St Regis. The service at the bar was easy and everything seemed to be no problem – which I love. I ordered a salad, side of fries and a cocktail… my bill(with tip) was $ 50! OMG! I knew it was going to be pricey, but I actually laughed out loud because it was definitely not worth the money. The fries were heavily seasoned with rosemary which I was not a fan of. Does rosemary go well with french fries? I cringed with every bite and couldn’t even put a dent in them. I would still go back for the drink and ambience part the next time I’m in the area.

My husband and I were on a special vacation that brought us to San Francisco. Luckily this hotel had an exceptionally good bar and bar tender. After a long day of driving, two outings, and dinner we were tired but not ready to call it a night. So we stopped by the bar. My husband always orders a Vodka Gimlet and I usually get a martini of some kind. So he suggested I try a really good vodka gimlet. We asked the bartender, Jason, if he knew how to make one. All he need was what kind of Vodka! Usually we get what’s that? So we were happy. Let me tell you with the fresh squeezed limes, a special simple syrup, and Belevader vodka, in this man’s hands… I was drinking the Best drink I have ever had! No joke. It tasted so good and smooth I had to ask if he added something special. Nope just the right mix and some talent of course. Jason was also very entertaining and wonderful to talk to. Some hotel bars are really stuffy and cold. This place all around was not. Still quite elegantly decorated and comfortable at the same time. Cheers! Wendie and Dave P.

***************************** 1412 *************************** The cocktails are good and strong here. The food is good here and solid. The bartenders, service was a hit or a miss for me. I used to come here often when my clients were in Soma. Since I changed my career a few years back. I don’t come here anymore. I do miss my corporate credit card :-) St. Regis bar is a beautiful, modern, and inviting lounge & bar. It was 1 of my favorite places for a cocktail or 2 after work before. I stayed-cation here this month SEPT2015. When I sat at the lounge. Our waitress was very nice, the drink and food came out nicely. Next day, when I took my niece and nephew down to the bar for some mocktails. I asked the barman to make it just a little spicy mocktail. He made it overly spicy. Obviously he didn’t taste the drink before he handed to us. I asked him to made a drink for my friend first because we were on a scheduled to head out for dinner at Saison. The over 6FT tall barman gave me an attitude. I was shocked, but I didn’t say anything. Good thing he was good looking and my cocktail was very good. I still tipped the dude 30%, charged to my room. It was sad that I experienced this kind of service at the St. Regis on this stay. P. S. Valet Parking is about $ 62 per day, if you just come here for a meeting or lunch, expect to pay at least $ 25 for an hour or 2.

One thing only that matters. The $ 35+ foie gras Ramen. No HH or deals on drinks or anything just a crowded lobby bar with tons of people the whole day/night.

I like this bar/lounge. Very cozy and not too loud. You can order drinks from the bar or other beverages and food. All non-alkie items come from Ame. Their Earl Gray tea is the best I’ve had so far. Their beignets were fluffy and hit the spot. BFF had wine and it was a generous pour.

Recently stayed for business and pleasure. The hotel was only outdone by the exceptional staff.

Came here when it first opened(many, many, many years ago) and was here again recently. Great space, selection of drinks, and fast service. Chairs are comfortable, many places to sit, and not overly loud. Not as much of a ‘party’ like the W Hotel bar.

I just received a snotty response from a staff person here, informing me that you aren’t open until noon. You might want to remind your employees that they are in the hospitality business. Enjoying lunch at the(always friendly) W instead.

Took a break for some tea and champagne in the lobby and felt really chill and enjoyed our time. Our server was so sweet. Both the Champange and tea were delicious and the little nibblys were tasty to. Nice and quiet atmosphere with a warm and soothing fireplace.

came here for the foie gras ramen last night! YUMMM! it was our second time trying to get it, cuz last week they were out of foie gras! crazy! anyhoo, the bar is really nice, quiet despite it being prime happy hour time. there were men dressed in suits everywhere. the service is attentive and friendly, although sometimes a bit slow? there are a lot of drink orders to take! haha so no worries. probably would not come for a casual drink because of the prices and given the options around that area, buttt the ramen was good! and i would go back for that :)

Calling the St. Regis Lobby Bar my neighborhood go-to spot for imbibing adult beverages sounds pretty pretentious, no? But it’s just a matter of geography. My experiences there have been crazy reliable… as in, the St. Reg always delivers exactly what I want — a relaxed atmosphere with comfy, copious seating; a diverse selection of drink, wine, and beer; and fantastic food. Recently, I came here with a group of my friends for some belated birthday drinks. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite things: craft beer and cake. So Baked Alaska doesn’t actually qualify as cake, but how many places can you find this elusive dessert? And definitely get the pork buns; they’re money. On a Saturday night, the bar is typically quiet making it a wonderful spot to punctuate the end of a date with a nightcap or conversely, it’s a space capable of accommodating a largish group in a pinch. Cheers!

I love coming here to lounge, decompress, rejuvenate, and to entertain my out-of-town guests. I just realized that I haven’t Unilocal about it. It’s about time! Well, yesterday I came here to relax in a hot Sunday afternoon. The service was EXCELLENT!!! My waitress was warm, personal, attentive, professional and helpful. I ordered a pot of hot jasmine green tea. Loose-tea, very good quality! I was looking for something light and savory to pair with my tea, but was unable to pick one from their bar menu. I asked my waitress if they serve charcuterie. She kindly replied no but somehow knew I was looking for something light. She recommended tempura poke, ahi tuna wrapped in seaweed and lightly fried. I took her recommendation and was very happy with it! I ordered another one. I thought it’s fried it would heavy but no, it was light and refreshing! Perfect for a hot day, paired well with my tea as well as the coconut mojito I later ordered. I asked my waitress to ask the bartender to make my mojito as little sweet as possible. She suggested that they remove the brown sugar and was motivated to help custom-made the coconut mojito the way I prefer as possible. That was nice! Overall, it was an excellent, 5-star experience at St. Regis lobby bar again. I would definitely come back again.

Stopped in for a nightcap after a concert while we were staying here. The bar was empty on a Saturday night at 12am. I understand because there are a lot of great options in San Francisco and a hotel bar, though a really really nice hotel bar, just doesn’t make the cut. The drink menu is interesting and well curated. The bartender who served us was super nice and fun to talk to. He was engaging enough but didn’t talk our ear off. I can’t remember what I had but it was something in a wine glass akin to a manhattan and I really enjoyed it.

I love to go here for a mojito or classic martini and the tuna poke appetizer. The cocktails are impeccable and this is a nice, quiet refuge to have a lovely libation and do some low key people watching. The staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming. I especially enjoy when Sandra is on duty, she is a pleasure to be around. Would not mind a bit more variety on the bar menu or to see it change up a bit more often, but seriously no complaints, the classics are delicious!

Such a cute but classy place to grab a drink. Was having dinner at Ame last Wednesday as an early Father’s Day celebration and had some time to kill before my reservation. Grabbed a seat on the couch in front of the fireplace. Our waitress was on it and quickly got us a menu and snacks. The complimentary snacks were an Asian snack mix. We got a glass of Schramsberg blanc de blancs north coast 2011($ 17) and a Jack daniels and diet coke($ 14). You are at the St Regis so the drinks aren’t cheap. But it is a nice place to have a drink or two while enjoying the ambiance and some good conversation with your drinkmate!

Posh, polished and totally swank. Channelling that very British vibe, this most definitely is a St Regis! Attentive service, great snacks, awesome eats and well made drinks. All this and wrapped up into a very cool, sophisticated vibe from the many patrons! Looking for an after work cocktail or a liquid libation in a hotel lobby that is probably better then the one you may be staying in… make this your go to place in the Arts District. Chin Chin!

One of my favorite«local» bars. I know it’s a hotel bar but I can always find a seat, the wait staff is always fast and friendly… and the pours are quite generous. They provide little snacks — wasabi peas and some other crunchy Asian mix item(I don’t know what it is) — but it’s always nice to have some bar snacks during happy hour. As you can imagine, drinks are not cheap — glasses of wine are $ 12-$ 14 — but it’s worth it for the top-notch service and comfortable surroundings. They have great seating and lots of it.

We were staying at the St. Regis and stopped by the Lobby Bar for some quick bites before an event. While I didn’t stay long, I still had a good experience here. Tried: Bloody Mary — The only BM I’ve ever had that was clear and not red. still tasted the part. served in a martini glass. was good but not a favorite of mine Fried Oyster sliders — fried just right. I would order these again Pulled pork bun — pretty tasty. no complaints Fries — Just right. Great fries! Service: great service. very attentive here
