Dr. Patel and her staff are great. My work schedule is very unpredictable and they do a great job of accommodating all of my needs, last minute cleanings, and cancellations. I have recommended Dr Patel to all of my family and friends.

Such a great dentist! Not only is she super friendly, but she really spends a great amount of time with each patient. She is very thorough and will even come in on her day off to fit you in! I would highly recommend!

I am finally getting around to writing a review… Dr. Sonal Patel and her staff have been wonderful to work with over the past few years! I have a mechanical mitral valve and require very special care and more frequent cleanings than regular dental insurance covers. Dr. Patel first priority was to take care of my dental health and then was very helpful and patient while we worked together with my insurance company to qualify for extra coverage for the cleanings required to protect my heart. In addition, she and her team are so friendly and professional :) Highly recommend her to everyone!

I had my first visit with Dr. Patel today. Full disclosure — I know her outside of dentistry but after I returned home today, I wanted to be sure that I raved about my experience!
I reached out to Sonal after a recent root canal for advice on the next steps to take. The solution she suggested was a perfect fit (!). The office is lovely, her staff warm and easy to talk to and she herself, is a consummate professional. I felt comfortable, safe and well cared for under her watch. I will definitely tell all of my friends (that aren’t already going to her!) to look her up if needing a dentist.

I just got back from my first visit to Dr. Sonal Patel and I wanted to write something as soon as possible because I had a great experience!
I’ve been dealing with a chipped front tooth for over 3 years now. I’ve been to a few dentists who all seemed confident to being able to fix the chip by filling it but unfortunately, the filling never lasted more than a few month. It was a very frustrating experience and I was pretty resigned to have it look ‘patched on’ forever.
Dr. Patel listened to me patiently (!) and checked out my tooth. Instead of talking me into any expensive solutions (I’m self-​employed and pay out of pocket) she suggested we should try a new filling first and see how that would hold up. She also suggested various ways to how to increase the life of a filling and what the actual causes could be for the previous fillings to not last. Finally, a dentist who doesn’t just want to fix a problem but gives suggestions for the actual cause!
The procedure was clear and very gentle. Dr. Patel and her assistant made sure I was comfortable at all times and they kept me informed about what they were doing at any moment. I felt safe and included in any decisions which is very important to me.
Her staff is very friendly and caring and I felt taken care of from the moment I walked into the dental office. The equipment is modern and exceeded my expectations with real time cameras to show me the details around my tooth and include me in the decision process.
All in all, I’m extremely grateful for the outstanding work on my front tooth. The filling is practically invisible — I can smile (and bite) again with gusto! Thank you!

I have been seeing Sonal Patel since she started her practice. She is friendly, professional and thorough. If going to a dentist fills you with anxiety, you will be much relieved by her care. She is very aware and sensitive to how her patients are feeling. I have also found the quality of her referrals for oral surgery and such to be excellent.

Dr. Sonal Patel is THE best dentist I have ever seen. Dr. Patel makes the experience quick, easy, and basically enjoyable — and I have never «enjoyed» the dentist. She is knowledgeable, caring, and spends time to understand any questions or issues and provides professional advice and recommendations with a focus on patient care, not unnecessary procedures. She and her staff are excellent and her practice is in a great location with garage parking available in the building. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone looking for a highly skilled dentist.

I’ve only been to Dr Patel once, but so far I am impressed. She did a very good job of keeping me informed of any potential future concerns, how I can avoid them, and where the health of my mouth stood right now, in normal people speak so I can understand! It was also refreshing to see that she does everything on your teeth herself other than xrays. I’ve had many dentists in the past have their hygenist do all the cleaning and work and only come in to inspect for 2 minutes. It’s nice to see a dentist take interest enough, and time, to do the work themselves so they really get a feel for your needs.
She let me know my options, but never once acted pushy on additional procedures. She told me I would be contacted with an update on my insurance coverage for such procedures and I can make a decision based on that. I’ve had dentists in the past tell me I NEEDED something done (which I discovered later was not really urgent) and booked it without ever telling me it would cost an arm and a leg because my insurance didn’t cover it. I learned from that to be more proactive, but Dr Patel doesn’t require you to be because she is straight forward and honest.
She is ever so gentle, the most pleasant cleaning I’ve ever had – not once causing me to flinch or grimace in pain as she chisels away at the build up on my teeth like I normally do repeatedly in cleanings. I was surprised when she told me she was already finished!
While she cleans your teeth, she makes pleasant small talk without going overboard or asking question after question like some dentists do while their hands are in your mouth, making you grunt your response without moving too quickly for fear they will stab you in the gums. She actually removes her hands when she has a question – what a novel idea! Meanwhile, she has a nature dvd playing which you can use as a distraction, and pleasant music.
Her staff is also very friendly and they provide email appointment reminders and online appointment requests for added convenience.

To put it simply, Dr. Patel gave me back my smile. I’ve been going to Dr. Patel’s clinic for six years and, prior to that, I never used to smile for pictures. With her invaslign treatment, she gave me the smile I always wanted. Best of all, I love how Dr. Patel does cleanings herself, rather than hire a hygenist to do it for her. Lots of dentists shortcut patients that way, but not Dr. Patel. I wouldn’t change dentists for anything.

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel’s for six plus years. Each visit confirms a solid base of dental experience, breadth of knowledge and excellent patient care. My treatments have included oral exams, cleanings, probings, implant crowns, x-​rays, and gum inspection. Dr. Patel thoroughly explains in lay terms the condition of my oral hygiene, strength or weakness of the structural nature of my bite and the impact on my teeth. Moreover, she has reputable relations with other dental practitioners who have done adjunct work on my teeth in their respective dental specialties.
Following Dr. Patel’s instructions, my latest temporary tooth held in place without any problems. A new crown was added with a comfortable fit. She has also put an implant crown on my front tooth. The periodontist who did the implant work stated Dr. Patel did an excellent job on the crown and its seating, saying he was «pleased» with the results on a difficult procedure.
Before I chose Dr. Patel, I had several dentist who I would be reluctant to recommend for reasons sometimes related to poor patient education, excessive charges, lack of sensitivity to actual manipulation of dental instruments, and unprofessional front office staff. None of these conditions are applicable to Dr. Sonal Patel. I can say with confidence that Dr. Patel has excelled at her profession along with her staff and I would highly recommend her dental services.

Dr. Patel is a great dentist — one you can trust to look out for your dental health. She cares about her patients and has lots of good advice about how to best keep your mouth clean. She’s not the kind of dentist who wants to sell you as many procedures as possible: she wants to help patients avoid having dental work done whenever possible. I’ve had a few cleanings and a filling done here and Dr. Patel was always gentle and did a good job of explaining what needed to be done.
The office staff is great — always friendly and helpful. I wold recommend this dentist to anyone looking for quality dental care.

Dr. Patel is AMAZING. I’m almost hesitating to write this review because I’m in love with my same-​week appointments! I found Dr. Patel through my ex’s coworker. She was the first dentist I saw outside of my East Coast hometown childhood dentist, so I was definitely nervous on my first visit. I needn’t have worried. I always feel like I’m in capable hands with Dr. Patel, and my dental habits have never been better! Even when I was a slacker about coming in (hey, it happened during a dental insurance gap!), Dr. Patel remembered everything that was going on with me in my last visit. I feel that she cares about my well-​being as a person as well as a patient… awww… she is just the best!

I have been going to Dr. Patel since 2007, and have never experienced any problems with her or her staff. Everybody is so professional.
Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable, and always explains what she is doing. She answered all of my questions thoroughly. Furthermore, she has small hands — my mouth is small and having a dentist with small hands is a blessing!
It’s time for me to have another check-​up, and I am definitely going back to Dr. Patel.

Dr. Patel is wonderful. She always takes extra time to indulge all of my questions– tells me what she’s doing, what she’s going to do next, and asks if I am OK while she’s doing it. Its quite a pleasant change from some of the dentists I have been to. She always works with me on the treatments I need to do (sometime in the future), and the treatments I have to do, now. I really appreciate her honesty and frankness in my diagnosis. Her staff is very professional and Jenni, the office manager is a sweetheart, she is always organized with my paperwork and greets me by name, with a smile.

Sonal Patel, and her staff are the greatest. They are all so friendly.
For those afraid of injections, Dr. Patel is so good at them, you never feel a thing. They have a television, but it’s best just to hear Sonal talk about tennis, her husband, or whatever else she has to say because she is too cute for words. She is also very professional. She explains everything and really seems to be a perfectionist. She paints in her spare time also, so she is very good with her hands, and really makes dentistry into an art. I would highly recommend them to everyone, which I just did.

I don’t know what I would do without her! A friend recommended her to me. It had been years since I had been to a dentist (long story) and was quite nervous. She saw me once and created an entire plan for my teeth. I had a lot to get done! But she prioritized the important parts and explained why I should have everything done in that order.
She also provided amazing referrals for my oral surgery. If you are looking for a dentist go see her!!!

I’m so glad I found Dr. Sonal Patel when I did. I was in the process of switching dentists because my previous dentist (for over two decades) was starting to slip in his work and seemed to want to prescribe (drill and fill) before diagnosing (ordering an x-​ray).
My soon-​to-​be-​fired dentist held out something that looked like it came out of a Sharper Image catalog and it made all these weird sounds and he said, «Yep, you have a cavity. Let’s fill it.» That sounded fishy to me, and I asked for an x-​ray to confirm that. He said that it wasn’t necessary and that he would schedule a time for me to come in for the procedure.
I said, «No, thank you» and went out determined to find a new dentist.
Luckily my friend Johnny B. who leads the Beatwalks walking tours in San Francisco referred me to «Dr. P.»
When I stepped in the office, I explained my situation and was greeted by a friendly face who was polite, courteous, and a good listener. I would get the x-​ray I wanted and a general dental check-​up and cleaning.
The x-​ray turned out negative, and I avoided the misery of being unnecessarily drilled and billed.
Thanks to Dr. Patel, I learned exactly what was going on with my teeth, and she’s always there to give the proper guidance and recommendations.
If you’re considering switching dentists, pick up the phone and call Dr. Sonal Patel. She’s there to help you with your dental issues.

I went to Dr. Sonal Patel for the first time this past week on a recommendation from a friend. I feel like i had the best experience I could at the dentist with having not gone in a couple years (due to shady insurance people, not personal hygiene). She is really thorough and walks you through so much. You UNDERSTAND your mouth when you leave, which is helpful. Very nice and suggests improvements or work without being car salesmany. Plus, watching tv while i get a teeth cleaning makes the time fly!
