We fight for employees rights. At Sommers Employment Law Group, we represent employees and former employees in disputes with their employers. We understand that work is more than just a paycheck, it is also a source of pride and dignity. When an employer mistreats an employee, not only is the income that the employee and his or her family needs to live is threaten, but so is the employees dignity. We never forget that.

History

Established in 2012.

Stephen Sommers has been fighting for employee right since 1994, when he became a union organizer the southeastern part of the country. In 2004, Steve started his own law practice and has been fighting for employees ever since. Over the past nine years, Steve has filed suit against over 500 companies in the Bay Area for such issues as wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, failure to pay overtime and other wage and hour issues, disability discrimination, and other employment related claims.

Sommers Employment Law Group, P.C. is a continuation of the work Steve has been doing for the past nine years. Fighting for employees rights!

Mr. Sommers has been fighting for employees since 1993, when he became a union organizer in the southeastern U.S.

Mr. Sommers was a Peace Corps volunteer in Chad, Africa, which at the time was rated the Number One Hardship Foreign Service Post in the World, by National Geographic.

Mr. Sommers graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2002.

In August 2004, Mr. Sommers started his own firm and has represented hundreds of employees since doing so.

Mr. Sommers has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a «Rising Star» in 2010 and 2011. He was selected as Attorney of the Year by the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in 2008.
