Pretty standard and a bit flavorless. I enjoy cheap Chinese food but this was okay. Vegetable Tempura was strange… huge portion but 80% potato and no proper sauce.

They are ok in a pinch. But the Twice Cooked Pork and Fried Chicken Wings are amazing!!!

I have to admit that I have ordered from here more times than I would care to admit. So, let’s start with the bad. The bad part about this restaurant is that I’ve had an experience buying fried rice in which it bordered on the hint of burnt-ness, as in on the border of edible and slightly tinged. I have had this experience maybe seven percent of the time?(one in fifteen, give me a break!). On to the good parts! At a beautiful $ 10 min order with free shipping from Eat24, this place is high on my top-tier list for cheap chinese food eats. The mongolian beef is, or at least was, one of the top things I order. Although not very spicy, it is always easy to add your own sriracha when they deliver it to your door! Other than that, their curry chicken definitely is in the top three of delivery curry chicken places that I have tried. I also have had good experiences with the hunan sliced pork! Their chow mein and fried rice are(despite the one experience) quite good and I definitely prefer them to many of the other restaurants in the area.

Ordered the shrimp fried rice. Got a pile of burnt rice with maybe four tiny prawns thrown in.

The only positive thing I can say about this outfit was the delivery arrived before the estimated time. The food was horrible. Szechuan Beef was bland and was 95% vegetables. The Cold Noodles were hot and now that they have cooled in the refer overnight they are like eating paste. I salvaged one dish, the other one went in the trash. Don’t waste your money. There must be someone in this city who can put out good food and then bring it to you; but I can’t find them. Undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I have had with Seamless. The other issue I have is the«Delivery Charge». On Seamless they rack you $ 3. On Grub Hub it’s free. On the menu it’s $ 2 if the order is under $ 10. On the front of the brick and mortar it’s free. These are some scandalous dudes with no culinary skills.

Just based on generals chicken, balls of unidentifiable chicken meats, dipped in lumpy batter, fried not quite crispy but also with hard pebbles of flour. Perhaps I have high standards based on some amazing generals chicken in the past. The service was quick and the price was cheapest food around for a sit down meal in this area so kept the rating a 3. Will have try the Mongolian beef or the broccoli beef which was mentioned in other reviews before adding or subtracting stars.

I ordered online through Grubhub. I have to say, they came much sooner than the estimated time! I had the egg flower soup, the orange chicken, and the potstickers. Potstickers were ok. I liked the soup and the chicken. They actually put the hot sauce for the chicken in separate containers which was nice. Everything was so nice and warm, too! I’ll order again soon :)

Definitely the worst Chinese food my coworkers and I have ever eaten. I feel bad leaving less than stellar reviews, but I just feel like people should be warned. I spent about $ 30 and had about 3 bites of food. It was just too nasty to finish. No flavor, slimey and just all-around bad. I gave them 2 stars because their potstickers were OK.

The food here is really delicious and plentiful. I always order Mongolian beef chow, wonderful flavors. Great soup and tea free when you dine in. Yummers!!!

I didn’t choose to eat here but my co worker urged me to. Once I seen the restroom, I was set. Sounds a bit weird to base my review on the restroom inside the restaurant, but I have my reasons. Typically when eating out in an Chinese food place, the restroom is disgusting. Which makes me think of how clean and sanitized it is in the kitchen. When I used the restroom, it was very clean. There wasn’t an old smelly mop on the side, with questionable puddles covering the floor. It was well lit and clean. Now I’m happy to try the food. Mongolian beef was great! Wish it was a bit spicier. But I had no complaints leaving. Also the roast beef w tofu on stir fry. Beautiful. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Place is close to work. Ordered online and was ready to pick up come lunchtime. Ordered the lunch special fried egg with shrimp and rice. Came with a super sweet sauce, too sweet for my taste… And I love sweet. Egg was overcooked, but meal filled me up so I can’t complain. Will probably come here again when I’m craving Chinese food for lunch

Never had such horrible Chinese food before: Absolutely Disgusting!!! First, their wontons tasted like spoiled eggs… I literally GAGGED!!! Then, let’s talk about their shrimps… they were mushy and definitely NOTFRESH at all. How did they make the chicken meat so slimy?!! The texture of the meat was WEIRD!!! If I get food poisoning tomorrow, I will report them for sure. I have this strange aftertaste in my mouth and it’s upsetting. I even expressed my concerns to the waiter but he just brushed me off like he could careless, sighs!!! I highly questioned those who gave them 5 stars… very suspicious. Warning the rest of the Unilocalers!!!

General’s chicken is like they put the sauce on KFC extra crispy nuggets. Order something else. And neither of us had a fortune in our cookie!

Solid place to get Chinese food. The interior is very simple yet effective. For lunch, the menu is kept very minimal with dishes not going over 7 bucks. When you’re seated, you get a pot of tea and are greeted with a piece of paper indicating different zodiac animals. The decided to get the broccoli and beef with rice and my gf decided on a beef stew noodle with wontons which was a bit extra seeing as the three combination weren’t on the menu. Both dishes were excellent in ask regards although the broccoli beef could lay off on the amount of sauce. By the end of the plate, there was still a small puddle when usually the rice soaks up the sauce. Service could be miles better. When we ordered our food and questions about the noodle dish, the waiter assumed that we weren’t going to get it when we specifically asked to be made like that. One dish for two people just doesn’t make much sense. Overall, solid place to grab lunch, but double check with the waiter on your order.

One of few Chinese restaurants around work. A pretty divvy place with good proportions, if I were. Detective I would probably frequent this place with my partner to talk about the case. But I’m not, so I come here to talk shop on non-work interests. Definitely a regular’s spot.

Homey chinese restaurant owned by Shanghainese family. They probably shudder at all the Americanized food the clientele orders but whatever the customer wants they get. They make everything pretty well but especially rice cake dishes. There are more authentic offerings but with the clientele, it’s not on the menu.

Do not come here expecting a 5 star experience. I live close to Shanghai China and it’s one of those go-to spots when you’re in a pinch and just want some potstickers, a green onion pancake, or plain fried rice(can you tell these are my usuals?). I also order their won ton soup and it’s pretty good. Not a fan of their hot and sour soup or black bean spare ribs. BF loves their Mongolian beef. I hear they have sweet lunch deals but I’m never home to partake. Service is quick and fairly attentive. Ambiance and décor is nothing to write home or Unilocal about. They offer free delivery as well which is a plus for some people. Another plus: you can order via EAT24 for hassle-free ordering.

Combination fried rice needed more seasoning. Chicken wings were bland and seemed to be only cooked in grease and garlic. Not a fan. Should of took my lazy self else where. But for cheap, quick lunch I guess its ok

For the 4 months of weekend work I had to do at Goodwill for a traffic violation that I will not mention here, I ate at Shanghai China Restaurant nearly every Saturday since it’s located right across from the 1500 Goodwill building. During the time I came here, I never ordered anything other than their Wonton soup as I’m an avid wonton soup fan. They were so quick to serve their yummilicious wonton soup that the stingy 30 minute lunch break was an adequate amount of time for me to eat, sit, and have a cigarette after! The wonton soup is reasonably priced and comes with bbq pork, chicken, vegetables, shrimp, the works. The broth is super tasty and great on a cold day. The wontons themselves were plump and yummy and satisfied any trace of a hangover on a Saturday after partying on a Friday and having to slave labor over at Goodwill the day after. 4 stars for quick service and tasty bites! Recommend!
