Leah has been the only person i let Brazilian wax me since i met her in 2009 and for the last two years she has been sugaring my Brazilian and i am hooked! I have followed her from her last two places she worked at, She is an expert in the sugaring technique. I love sugaring way better than hard wax now. There is no heat involved, the sugar paste is all natural and organic (no chemicals) and it does not stick to your skin, only the hair. It hurts way less than waxing, also, there are no sticks or paper strips involved so it is also more eco friendly.
Also, best part is i find that the hair takes longer to grow back than with waxing and it grows back very light and sparse. it is totally worth the extra cost because the product is better for your skin, it isn’t hot, hurts less, the results last longer and its better for the environment! Its a win win for everyone!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for sweet Leah for almost 2 yrs now, but my health hasn’t allowed me. Better late than never though, I hope.
Several years ago or so (Leah can better provide the exact date) Having been dealing with a life changing medical diagnosis for the past few weeks in UCSF, I had just read about sugaring while I was in the hospital and couldn’t wait to try it. Leah was the first appointment I could get online. She called me back right away to ask if I wouldn’t mind a bit of a mess, as they had just moved to the hidden location they have now. Of course not, I said and off my dad drove me to, what I thought was drop me off.
Having been a longtime Brazilian waxed customer, after a complete life change, it was time for a change. Leah was so calm, sweet and honest (in the midst of her crazy moving day). She did say that sugaring wasn’t for everyone and that she personally hadn’t seen a lot of converts. I had been quite surprised by the reduction in pain, in comparison to waxing. The following day the sugar remained, as every piece of lint, and long blonde hair of mine stuck like a magnet to what this place, I had originally been to supposedly «sugared». When I called them, since there are only Leah and maybe one other employee, I left a professional vm, stating I would like to return so they may remedy this immediately. My friend thought this whole scenario was hysterical, telling me I was turning into a werewolf by crotch. I ended up removing the can-​caution.
It turns out my dad ended up telling Leah what my medical condition is, which at that time my epilepsy and seizures were not well controlled. I can’t imagine the pressure poor Leah must have felt.
The reason I’m writing this review now, is Leah is one of those wonderful people in this world, whom I will never forget the way she made me feel. Not disabled. Not different. Not scared. Not nervous. Not rushing to get me out quickly so nothing goes wrong while I’m with her. No, she treated me like any other beautiful girl wanting to experiment with something that just didn’t work on me :)
In regards to the unanswered phone call, I was literally the first customer in that amazing new spot of theirs. Obvi, something is going insanely well with all those 5 red star comments!

Leah is amazing, will not let anyone else get near my brows!

I have been coming to see Leah for my Brazilian bikini waxes & brow waxing for 5 years now. Needless to say this review is long overdue! I have followed Leah’s career since her days at Stript Wax Bar– just a few years before she went out on her own to run an incredibly successful independent business. Her work is flawless, consistent, and gentle– with attention to detail. Its always a pleasure to visit her studio: its cute, clean, a great use of space, and aesthetically its gender neutral with slight feminine touches (because you men will also feel at ease here for your waxing!). She has a great personality, and is passionate about the work she does. Her products are high quality and I have never once had an issue with her services. This all being said, I look forward to seeing her each time and make appointments with her on a regular basis. If you are looking for an overall wonderful experience with waxing, Leah is your gal!

Leah is incredible! I have been waxing for years and have never come across someone as professional, gentle and personable or who waxes as quickly and as painlessly as she does. I started going to Leah over year ago for waxing and she is AMAZING! Super quick & not painful at all!
I also started using her Hylunia line and absolutely LOVE it. The products are all natural and work wonders on my skin. I also just did my first facial with her (the 75 minute Vitamin C) a couple weeks ago and my skin looks & feels amazing!

So I got sugaring done for the first time and it was such an amazing experience. First of all, Leah is super talented and thorough and secondly it really didn’t even hurt! My skin was much less irritated and I was so happy with the end result. If you’ve ever thought of trying sugaring, go to Leah, she’s incredible!!! In my opinion she is the hidden gem of estheticians — I can’t imagine going to anyone else!

I just got back home from visiting with Leah and had to write a review. She was amazing. It was my first Brazilian wax and it couldn’t have gone any better. The place is super cute and the girls were all so nice. Leah told me the first time is the worst but it gets better the more you wax. It definitely was not the most fun thing in the world but did not hurt as bad as I thought. I think it was partly do to leah’s quick waxing and distracting me, and the numbing spray. Leah told me about home care and how often I should come in. I even bought a package before I left. I am a shaving convert. I Definetly recommend Leah!

Made appoints for me and a friend to get Brazilian waxes. I never had one done before but my friend has gotten them a bunch of times. I was running late for my appointment so my friend went first. My friend told me when Leah came out she was all «oh you’ve had them done before» HOW DID SHE REMEMBER!!! She has such good memory!!! When she came back out she said it was the best she’s ever had!
Then it came my turn and I made my friend go in with me. I had read ALL KINDS of horror stories before going in. There was one on Unilocal about some girl who after she got waxed got aloe all over her vagina and later it dried her underwear to her raw skin and she had to peel them off of her and it was the worst pain she’s ever experienced. This is what I thought was going to happen to me!!! I seriously braced myself for the worst and much to my surprise IT BARELY HURT! WTF? So confused! I have zero pain tolerance and I read it hurts even more than you could imagine and it really didn’t! Its also supposed to especially hurt your first time because the roots are super deep or thick or whatever. I definitely did wince a bunch and was totally sweating but she did such a good job of calming me down!!!
She used a combination of sugaring and hard wax at the end. She tweezed a couple of stray hairs she missed and she was all done! I’m so happy I had my first waxing experience with her because if it had been anywhere else I’m sure I would’ve been too traumatized to ever get it done again! She works in the back room of Moxi and she was playing music by the National when I walked in (one of my favorite bands!). She made me feel comfortable the entire time, especially when I found out she was going to wax my crack wtf DID YOU KNOW YOU GET YOUR CRACK WAXED BECAUSE I DIDN’T!!! I had a mini freak out inside my head but it went totally fine and completely painless! The salon is a little hard to find but there’s a photo of the storefront posted on here so look at it first!!! We asked her for sushi recomendations and she told us to check out Tamashi Sushi and after walking around the block we really did end up going there! Oh and the best thing is you can text her to make an appt! I’ve never seen any other business do that before and now I wish more would implement it.

It’s pretty obvious how perfect this place is based on the reviews, but I just have to chime in.
I came here based on the reviews alone. and was not disappointed.
This was perfect. Literally. The studio is so clean and comfortable. Leah is crazy good at what she does, she is super sweet, makes you feel really comfortable, and not to mention works pretty quickly.
Everything went really smoothly and I’ve already booked my next appointment.
PS the hard wax is about 10x less painful than normal wax!

See all these 5-​star reviews? See them? You probably don’t need to keep reading. Just go ahead and make your appointment, and get your hairy self down to Leah. She’ll sort that out for you right quick.
But if you want to know a little more — here’s the skinny: I’ve been seeing Leah for years, and plan to continue seeing her for years to come. Waxes with Leah are super clean, super quick, and super thorough. Over the years, I’ve had as many types of waxes as she offers, and have never been disappointed. Leah is efficient without being harsh, and she gets *everything* without making it awkward. (Critical when it comes to the Brazilian).
Plus, her prices are GREAT and they give you fizzy water while you wait. When it comes to waxing, Leah is EVERYTHING — look no further.

I recently moved to SF and was looking to find a waxing studio I could go to regularly. I bought a living social coupon, and after my first visit, I found my regular studio!
I had a brazilian it was one of the most painless, quickest, and most comfortable waxes I’ve had. Leah is great! She is really friendly, makes you feel at ease, and does a thorough job. The spa itself is very clean and warm, and she has an adorable puppy. I definitely recommend SF waxing Studio to first timers and anyone looking for a good wax!

I just moved to SF a couple of months and have been looking for a place to get waxed and haven’t been impressed with what I’ve found so far.
I got really lucky and met Leah and I’m so excited about finally being able to go to a salon regularly for my brazilians. She uses hard wax and is very thorough — no leftover hairs. The entire wax was quick and painless. The BEST wax I’ve ever gotten by far in San Francisco. Not to mention her one-​room waxing studio is insanely cozy and as cute as it can get.
I will definitely be recommending this salon to all my friends.

What can I say? I get committed to my waxers. I lived in San Diego for 4 years and was devastated to change waxing studios when I moved up here. I found a place on the peninsula that did a great job but commuting down there was ridiculous!
Then I found out about Leah. She is AMAZING!
I have been going to her for about 6 months for my Brazilians. She is so friendly and removes any possible awkwardness. She is extremely thorough which is important and it’s always quick and painless.
