SF Tots

SF Tots is the best! All the coaches are amazing and the activities/​guidance they provide is on point. The kids are engaged, learning to play soccer, all while having fun!

We do business with SF Tots and love working with them. We also share a lot of students with them and I have heard nothing but great things over the years from our families. Their coaches are great– I have seen them in action and they really love working with kids– it shows!!!

SF Soccer Tots is a great introduction to soccer for a little one. Well organized and fun, kids get to experience something new with other kids their age while getting out some energy for the day. Between warm ups and stretches to obstacle courses and chasing the parachute, your little one won’t be bored! We continue to sign Sophie up session after session because she has such a good time.
* We started out with Coach Allen who is AMAZING! Super great energy, knows how to get kids excited, and has just a lovely vibe about him.

My 3yr old loves going to HoopsterTots and is fond of Coach Alan. Their program is filled with fun activities that teach fundamental basketball moves in a group setting. The coaches are friendly, energetic, and patient with the 2.5−3yr olds, which is impressive. We plan to keep our son in the program and will also look into SoccerTots to see if he might like that, too.

My 4 year old son absolutely LOVED Soccer Tots, and not just because he got to wear a sweet uniform with shin guards! The coaches were excellent and very experienced at corralling young kids. They played games while actually teaching them some soccer SKILLS in a friendly, non-​competitive way. I highly recommend this program. Well worth the investment.

My daughter has been a Super Tot! since she was 19 months… she’s still a Super Tot! at almost 4 yrs old now… the coaches are amazing and know exactly what to do and say to stimulate your tot… child development as well as social skills and active play… I can’t say enough great things about this program… I would recommend to any parents with children… great job Laura, Chris and Brian… special s/​o to coach Shayna who been coaching my baby from the jump… see y’all Saturday…

I take my 3-​year-​old daughter to Soccer Tots weekly. I’m really impressed with the instructors. They bring so much energy and enthusiasm to each class. The instruction is so much more than just building soccer skills. It’s very thoughtful, careful, engaging instruction that’s founded in good child development focusing on balance, following instructions, and feeling comfortable with athletics.
I love spending a Saturday morning running, stretching and playing with my daughter and it’s great to see her skills develop.

We just signed up for HoopsterTots and it’s great! Just like SoccerTots, my little one is learning the sport through games with great coaches teaching the fundamentals while making sure the kids have a fun time. Thanks SFTots!

Dedicated and wonderful staff… Fun programs… Ease of scheduling… What a find!
We are really having fun with this class! Chris and Brian have been our soccer coaches and they have been nothing but enthusiastic, fun, energetic, fair, and just plain a w e s o m e!
I don’t know how they keep such enthusiasm (I suppose youth helps), but the classes are always such a treat. Sure, my kiddo has his days when he’s not feeling it… But every time we are on our way home, he will announce proudly, «I had fun at soccertots!»
They host various events for the kiddos thruout the season, and this spring we will be part of hoopstertots… Looking forward to it.

Soccer tots is a wonderful, age-​appropriate program for kids of all ages. 3 years and 2 kids later we are still attending almost every season.
The activities are decently versitile, primarily game-​based, and require parent participation for the younger kids. (In the older groups, you can just sit back and drink your coffee on a foggy Noe Valley morning.) I wish they would rotate the exercises a bit more, but my son doesn’t seem to care that he is playing «farmer n the fox» for the umpteenth time. My 2yo lives for the soccer day and can’t wait for a new season to start.
We do miss coach Dan, he was a true star!!!
Overall, a great neighborhood activity at a reasonable price.

My son joined the SoccerTots Koala II program just after he turned 3 yrs earlier this summer.
We just completed our first 10-​weeks of classes and registered for another 10 weeks.
What I love about this program:
— The class is designed perfectly for the age group. It teaches soccer skills via fun, engaging games and exercises that my son enjoys. If you’re looking for your really young toddler to understand technical soccer terms and get into formal drills, you won’t find that in these classes; however, they learn basic dribbling via «penguin kisses» and other skills while having a great time and getting good exercise
— The coaches were upbeat and positive. They interacted great with the toddlers — were just a little firm at times (to attempt to get kids to follow instruction) but appropriately so. They were patient, playful and connected nicely with the toddlers
— The coach ratio to students was great. I’m not sure if this is always the case, but in our class it seemed that there was about 1:3
— Parents were allowed to participate (and expected to step-​in and assist should a child need the attention), but at this age group of 3 — 3.5 yrs we were also able to be more hands off to allow the kids to learn how to be instructed by other adults which I think is great preparation at this age for preschool and kindergarten
I mentioned directly to the SoccerTots program that I was disappointed a couple times when the class ended ~5 minutes shorter than scheduled. I like them to run the full time so I feel I’m getting the best value for the $ paid, and so that my 3 yr old runs /​exercises 5 minutes more in class (increasing the chance he’ll take an afternoon nap ;-)

Our first daughter joined when she was 18 mos, and a year later, she’s still excited to go on Sat mornings. The coaches are great, follow a strong curriculum, and are generally great with (often very small) children. Highly recommend.
Disclaimer: don’t expect your kid to score a goal or even kick the ball in the first year. Instead, embrace the organized chaos :).

Soccer Tots is GREAT! My 2 year old really enjoyed herself and runs around the house during the week yelling SOCCER TOTS !!! She always looked forward to her Sunday morning soccer and we just signed up for another session. The coaches were great and very interactive.

We are pretty happy with Soccer Tots. They have convenient locations. Plenty of coahes for each group of kids and they do a good job trying to keep young toddlers engaged.

My 22 month old son LOVES soccer tots! We’ve had a great experience in our first session. I’m amazed that kids this little can like it so much. There’s a good variety of kicking the ball, playing with hoola-​hoops and noodles, running fun «obstacle courses» with tunnels, singing songs and so forth. It’s a jam-​packed 45 minutes and he loves it! The coaches (Liz and Cathy were ours) are wonderful and really engage with the kids, which is very nice.

HoopsterTots by SoccerTots rocks! Coach Chris started the basketball classes this spring, I believe, and his classes have been a blast for the kids. Chris is great with the kids, playful, kind, varies timing and coaching ideas according to each child’s ability. He sets up a wide variety of games using different props and equipments that really makes the class fun and exciting for the kids. My daughter is a hesitant ball player but Coach Chris has her running around, trying with balls, etc., throwing in lots of basketball skills disguised in dinosaur, monkey, spaceship games. My daughter takes the class with a friend who is a confident physical dare-​devil. He loves the class just as well, or maybe even more. Another coach from SoccerTots subbed for Chris one time, and he hit it off with the kids right away, too. I am very impressed with the program all the around. Well, except for number of classes and locations. I wish they have as many HoopsterTots classes as they do with the soccer. I know they will get there because it’s a great class!

Okay, my kiddos have now experienced both Soccer Tots and the other guys — S. Kids. I can now say, hands down, soccer tots his the BEST option for little ones to have some fun with a soccer ball!!! They just have a great vibe. ALL the coaches are friendly and cheerful — just what a kid (and parent) needs!
HIGHLY recommended! Our classes even had some Europeans in them (I could tell by the accents :-), and they were even enjoying themselves. And you know how them Europeans are about soccer. Ahem, I mean football.
Your kids will have FUN and enjoy playing and kicking the ball around with Soccer Tots!

My 4 y/​o attended SocTots for several weeks. The class sizes are well-​balanced to the number of coaches. They work to keep the children engaged using lots of fun-​play for skill building.
Class sizes can be small and they may combine classes, so depending on your child, you may want to ask for a class adjustment. Coach Liz seems very open to accommodating the child’s needs.
If you go to the Embarcadero, avoid the Embarcadero as much as possible! Saturday traffic is terrible. Taking Sansome/​Battery makes the drive there super quick!
Overall, highly recommend!
