The I PLAY FOR SF adult soccer league specializes in offering competitive and recreational soccer games for men and women in San Francisco.

History

Established in 2012.

I PLAY FOR SF started in 2012 as a non-​profit soccer league to fund Street Soccer USA’s at-​risk youth and homeless adult programs. These programs teach life and professional skills to these disadvantaged individuals in order to help them find housing, employment, and community.

Currently, I PLAY FOR SF is one of the largest recreational adult soccer leagues in San Francisco and provides both Men’s and Co-​ed soccer games to the San Francisco community.

Christian M.

Manager

Christian Martin is the current manager of I PLAY FOR SF. He has been running the Men’s and Co-​ed soccer leagues since August 2015 and is passionate about soccer and bringing the soccer community together in San Francisco. You will see him rotating between the different fields on game nights to speak with participants and receive feedback on how to improve the league.

Best small-​sided league in SF. Organizers are responsive and accommodate a team’s needs. Well worth it for a relatively small cost.

Excellent soccer league where all the profits go to help the homeless. The league is very organized and there are different divisions so that you usually play against teams that have a similar level. The games are competitive but friendly and it’s easy to communicate with the league organizers. In addition, we play on the best fields in the city (Kimbell, Franklin, Crocker-​Amazon) so if you want to play in a well-​run league where your dollars go to a good cause, sign up to IPlayfor!

Came from Nor Cal Athletics and this league is just night an day better. Very well organized, communication between players/​captains and the guy that runs it (Rob) is fantasic, officials are better, and extra equipment like pennies, goalie gloves, pumps, ect. for your use. Not to mention the Gatorade that is free to drink.
They play at the better fields in the city too (Kimbel and Franklin). To top it off all the proceeds go to Street Soccer USA, a non-​profit for the homeless.
Competition wise it’s pretty competitive and I’ve heard they’ll soon have different divisions which will be even better. Highly recommend this league!
