My wife and I moved to San Francisco after 4 years in the Netherlands. Needless to say, our process was complicated as we had documents in both English and Dutch. Compounded by major changes to the mortgage process by a federal law which went into effect days before our contract was finalized, we expected the loan process to be bumpy and slow.
Sean and his team rose above our expectations, proactively identifying potential issues and engaging us for clarification or additional information. The team kept an open channel of communication which meant the second an issue was identified we were notified and could help provide additional docs to solve those issues.
Sean’s team got us to closing quickly, efficiently, and were open, honest, and direct throughout the entire process. They managed to get us to closing on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, a turn-​around time of 25 days, under new mortgage laws, and handling international documents. This meant we got our keys to our new home before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Applying for a refinance is daunting-​particularly if you have some challenges to overcome. Sean had the knowledge to provide us with creative solutions. He explained different scenarios and how they would play out. We actually were working with 2 mortgage brokers who were telling us two entirely different stories. When I researched I found that Sean was spot on. He is not only knowledgeable but so patient and accessible. He replied to my calls and emails by the next day-​sometimes on a Sunday! Sean Crowley and his team were so professional and helpful both during my home purchase as well as refinance on my investment property. I received weekly phone updates on the status of my paperwork which made me feel like a valued client. When I asked questions they answered them for me. I’ve owned my house since 1999 and have a lot of equity in it. I’ve successfully refinanced in the past. But after the 2008 recession began and mortgage rates started to drop I could not get a lender to approve a refinance. Saying that I was impressed by the experience of working with Sean Crowley and Preston Chandler would be a vast understatement. Sean was recommended to my husband and I by our realtor in SF for a new purchase, and under a rapidly approaching close of escrow deadline, the whole team rushed about to close our escrow in a record 2 weeks!
We were initially working with Bank of America, but due to a change in our work circumstance since being preapproved, they couldn’t give us a final approval, leaving us in limbo.
