Here it goes my personal experience with Chanel’s work.
Let me start off by saying that Chanel has genuine talent!
I had eyelashes extensions once at another place and it was the worst experience ever! I was so scared to get them done again but after a good research here in the SF area I came across her and I’m so glad I did! I did a little set of questions once I got to my appointment with her and then she started doing her magic! They looked so natural but you could see the difference compared to my short lashes. Although everything looked good the eyelashes started to fall super quick within the first week! Not even 10 days had past and almost all of them fell off! I was really upset because they are expensive and I did tipped her really good because I was amazed about the way they looked! So, I reached out to her and she had no problem on offering a new set of lashes because of the bad experience. The SECOND time went good! They lasted for about 2 weeks and they started to slowly fall off.
I would say that you got to be very specific on your questions so she can do her best for them to last. I am more on the oily side so I probably need a stronger glue for them to stay in place!
Overall, the experience was good because she is just an awesome individual with great talent, but the lashes lasted a short time in my opinion for the money they cost. However, I would do them again for an special event of some sort!

Soon after I posted my review, Chanel reached out to me about either offering me a refund or free re-​do. I opted to give it another shot and she made sure to accommodate my availability at a time that was probably inconvenient for her. I really appreciated her willingness to work around my schedule and the quick turnaround time.
So, I showed up that Saturday thinking that that would be the extent of her customer service, and that her concern was just about the one-​off rating on Unilocal.What surprised me was that Chanel was genuinely concerned about the outcome of my lashes, and wanted to figure out what went wrong. She explained to me that she’s been doing a lot of research on glues and lashes, and she only uses products that have been tested and are the least harmful/​toxic to the body. (I actually had no idea there was more complexity to the materials being used, so I learned something new there.)
Just like the first time, she was extremely vigilant about applying my lashes and they looked great afterwards. While the second time around, the glue she used didn’t irritate my eyes, the lashes still lasted only about 1.5 weeks. I think now that I’m a little more informed about the materials she uses, I can confidently say that the glue probably just doesn’t hold up as well with my skin type (I am on the oilier side).
In terms of customer service, I would rate Chanel 6 stars if I could. She even followed up a few days later to check in on how my lashes held up and offered me another refund when I updated her. While her glue didn’t work for me, I think you can trust giving her a shot as she will go above and beyond to correct the situation. She’s also still testing out other products and it is clear to me that she’s very set on improving her business from the service-​up.

I’ve been coming in to see Chanel every two weeks for lashes since May. I’m absolutely obsessed. She does a great job for all lengths from glam to natural and everything in between. Its great to not have to wear ANY eye makeup because you wake up looking like a disney princess. The process is very relaxing as well. She does a great job to make you feel comfortable and has a super calm demeanor. I’ll definitely be a customer for a long time :)

I had never gotten lashes before and wanted to treat myself. There are usually several different groupon/​living social/​gilt city deals for lash extensions available at any given time and so I did a TON of research before I chose to visit purchase a groupon and visit Chanel at SASS.
I’ve been there three times so far. Once for my initial set and then twice for fills. First of all, I want to say how amazing amazing Chanel’s work is. The first time I came in we talked about the different options/​length/​looks for extensions. I’m fair and I didn’t want anything that would look ridiculous on me. Some Kim Kardashian level extensions would just not be right. So Chanel told me her recommendation and I was totally happy to go with her suggestion. After I got them done I seriously got non stop compliments on my lashes, but at no point did anyone ask me… Did you get lash extensions? Which is exactly what I’m looking for. I wanted them to look amazing, but not fake. After my first fill, I was at Cocoon Bare on Polk St for a service and one of the aestheticians there (who also does lashes) told me my lashes looked incredible and when I told them they were extensions asked me where I got them done. That says something.
It’s now been 8 weeks since I’ve worn mascara. Ladies, if you were like me and couldn’t pull off a mascara free look without someone asking you if you were okay/​sick (um no, this is just my face, thanks), you’ll appreciate how AMAZING this is. It took some getting used to and it definitely has changed the way I apply/​put on makeup (I basically just dont wear any eye make up anymore, sometimes a lil eyeliner for a special occasion). I know that this has helped me keep the extensions longer/​and in good condition but I’ve also gone on vacation to Mexico where I spent hours in the pool (actually swimming/​putting my head under water) and they’ve stayed in tact.
Chanel herself is beyond sweet and professional. She is so deft at her work that every single time I’ve come in I’ve fallen asleep. I fought it the first time but now I just recognize that it’s going to happen and enjoy the little cat nap. It was hard to book my first appointment with her and my first fill because I didn’t realize just how busy she was, so I suggest if you have a specific event occasion to book ASAP. I booked via StyleSeat and it was super easy, I was even able to get in on an earlier cancellation.
Lastly, for my birthday I received a coupon for a percentage off my service. I can’t tell you how sweet and thoughtful that was. SASS, you’ve got a lifelong fan over here.

Update: Chanel contacted me and apologized. She generously refunded the money and even offered me a complimentary service. She is a very nice person and I’m willing to chalk up my experience to a new business owner ironing out the kinks. Just be clear about which service you are getting and make sure there’s enough time to do it in. Takes customer service very seriously.

Loved my experience with Chanel — 1.5 hours for a full set and so far it’s been a week and they still look great! I’ve gotten a ton of compliments and am excited to get them refilled for my wedding. At first, it was an adjustment because I don’t normally wear any makeup so I felt very GLAM but all my coworkers have said they look very natural and totally open up my eyes. Would definitely recommend booking!

I got eyelash extensions for my Mum’s wedding about a month ago. The whole experience was great — Chanel was super professional and it was so relaxing I didn’t even notice how long it took. The lashes looked amazing and I got a ton of compliments on them. Unfortunately they did not last very long on me which is less about Chanel’s skills and more about other factors such as humidity and sleeping etc. I reached out to Chanel to let her know I was disappointed that one of my eyes only lasted a week. She responded immediately and was super apologetic and offered me both a refund and a complimentary treatment anytime. Now THAT is how you do customer service. I actually work in customer service for a big brand and rarely do I experience the level of service I expect. It totally turned my experience around and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit Chanel again and recommend her to my friends. Thanks again!

I just had my first set of eyelash extensions put on, and I’m so impressed with the experience and results! I found Sass on Groupon. It was tough to get scheduled in, but she’s only one person! Chanel was so nice, and explained everything she was doing. I was super comfortable the entire time — I even dozed off. When she was done, I had really natural looking, long lashes. I’m definitely coming back! Chanel is amazing, and her prices are right in line with other salons.

Chanel is so good! I get compliments on my lashes 5x/​week. They look awesome thanks to Chanel. Her studio is super cute and very clean. She’s always on time and prices are in line with the going rate. She makes everything very comfortable and I’m so glad to have found her.

I’ve been getting my lashes done for over 5 years, LA, Marin and now with Chanel in SF. She is by far the most dedicated and talented lash artist i have been to yet. I’m picky and i want them to look a certain way, along with staying put for weeks, Chanel’s techniques and her eye for detail along with her ability to cater to her client is unprecedented. I will follow her wherever she goes. She is busy but even if i can squeeze in for 30 minutes she makes it well worth the time. Professional, lovely, accommodating, talented and affordable.

Chanel is AMAZING with lashes. I first started seeing her at Dollface (in San Anselmo), but found out about her own studio and I have to say, it’s SO SO cute. Perfectly decorated (just like Chanel!). She is such a professional – she really gets the look (s) that I’m going for when I tell her and my lashes look incredible. Because she is so good, it’s to be expected that she books up so quickly and far out!

Came to get lash extensions for the first time. As an avid, everyday user of fake eyelashes, I have a particular way I like to make them look. I brought in a pair that I use as an everyday look for her to «mimic» but the extensions didn’t come out the way I wanted. Not sure if it had to do with my own real eyelashes or a miscommunication but my extensions were waaaay too long and wispy. I felt like a cartoon character. I couldn’t get them to curl and stay put in an organized way. One lash would be left another would be curved the complete other way. It wasn’t a good look so I ended up googling how to safely remove them yourself. Bummed I’ll still have to put me strip lashes on every morning. Also, during the process I think she got the bonding glue in my eye a few times which did not feel good.

Refills are $ 55 – 75.
Lash love. I always admired the lashes of others. Not Tammy Fay Baker lashes but lashes which were naturally long, thick and without the appearance of caked on mascara. And growing up, I wished I had full, curly, attention getting lashes naturally. But I didn’t. As an adult, I have reason to rejoice because I am blessed with the resources to get lash help.
For me, it’s all about the lashes these days. I prefer individual lashes over makeup, lipstick or any other facial enhancements. My naturally lashes are wildly curly so taming them is no small task but Chanel showed serious lash love. I left with a very natural looking refill. One of the best I have received over the last year and a half.
I made an appointment while in San Francisco on business. I chose her after reading reviews on StyleSeat and Unilocal.The reviews were spot on. She is very sweet, professional, detailed and most importantly GIFTED! It is apparent she enjoys what she does. It is reflected in the final product and in everything she does.
Other things I loved about SASS

— the ease of booking an appointment online (StyleSeat or her website)
— I received a brush which is in a case! This is the first time I received one with its own case. Too fancy!
Chanel is a class act. No surprise she is usually pretty booked. She’s that good.

Chanel is a star! She has a deft touch & is highly skilled. She is really good at enhancing your features and keeping a natural look, which is often hard to find in MUAs. Her place is so cute, clean and inviting. You can book online and she is very affordable. I was so pleased with her work and her calm kind demeanor. 5 stars for sure!

This review is long overdue. Chanel did my makeup and the makeup of 8 other people on my wedding day last November and everyone looked amazing. She was on time, professional, and did great work. I’m so happy to have booked her. She was very patient and helpful during my trials in creating the look for the wedding– she wanted to make sure I had the exact look I wanted. It turned out perfect! Got my makeup done for a holiday party. Chanel was amazing and made me look glamorous yet simple. She is very nice and listens to suggestions. Recommended her to several people already, who equally love her work much as I do! Will definitely be back!

Channel has done my makeup and lash extensions and she is amazing at both. During makeup application she is very vocal about what she’s putting on your face so you can learn tips!
For lash extensions she is FAST and precise. My lashes are looooong and applied perfectly. I’ve had several people comment on how great my lashes look (at very close proximity to my face) — but they don’t know they are extensions until I tell them. My esthetician commented how perfect they looked– and she sees a lot of lash extensions.
I ran a half marathon in them and felt gorgeous the entire time.
I feel beautiful and fresh with NO mascara.

Sass is located in Salon Village, this cute place with multiple store fronts owned by estheticians, hair stylists and colorists. When you walk into Sass, Chanel greets you warmly like an old friend.
She asks the preliminary questions and figures out what works best for you. I told her I wanted them long and dramatic, because I wear fake strip lashes on the daily.
The whole process took about 1.5−2 hours. We small talked for a little bit and then I just fell asleep on her because she is so gentle lol. When she was done, she took a picture for her Instagram.
There was no stinging because she never got glue in my eyes. The lashes were super light, fluffy, and dramatic just as I asked.
I usually wear liquid liner and strip lashes everyday. With the lash extensions, I would just walk out of the house and it would look like I have make up on. It cut my make up time in half and I loved it!
They last at least four weeks before I scheduled a fill with her. (The fill lasted four weeks and counting now and she was just as detail oriented as the first time.)
I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

Channel from Sass did wonders with my makeup. I was in a wedding in which she beautified 12 girls. I was amazed how pretty everyone looked, especially me! She I was very professional and very calm, most important she finished on time. She is absolutely amazing and will be going to her and referring het for any future make up needs.

This review is long over due. I got married on June 21^st of this year. Everything was a great experience from the make up trial to the actual wedding day. Chanel is super sweet and made my mother and I look/​feel absolutely beautiful. I received so many compliments on my make-​up. The pictures look awesome! Thank you so much Chanel! I wish I could give you 10 stars. You made me feel very comfortable/​relaxed during the whole process and I felt fabulous as I walked down the aisle. Thanks so much!
