I’ve gone to Dr. Friedenthal for a few procedures over the years. One was more major – liposuction, the other was a couple minor things. He is really a remarkably good doctor, surgeon and person. He is a kind person who is humble and honest, and I knew shortly after I met him the first time that I could trust him. I plan on going to him as I grow older and have recommended him to friends. Plastic surgery is nothing to fool around with, and I feel lucky he was recommended to me. This guy is the real deal.

I had my nose done by him a few years back… horrible. So bad, he had to do it again, and at the time I didn’t realize how incredibly delicate it is to have a second procedure done and how you should really have a surgeon who is known for doing a second time rhinoplasty because of the sensitivity of the situation.
I certainly would not… ever, recommend him or his practice to anyone.

I had my sagging eye lids done and my neck liposuctioned by Dr. Friedenthal. The procedure went off without a hitch, very little bruising and went back to work in 6 days and no one said a thing. I was concerned about some facial paralysis I had after. It was never metioned to me prior to the procedure so I was very concerned after the bandages came off that I had trouble smiling and speaking certain words not to mention laughing. I think I was overly self conscious because he kept reassuring me it would come back as before. It has mostly gone back to normal but it’s only been 5 weeks. The office staff is super, the receptionist is the sweetest thing on earth and the PA was the best. I would go back again if needed and I trust him completely.

I love love love Dr. Friedenthal. He’s a sweet little man who you want to take home with you to be your grandpa. .. and cut up your face. No, just kidding. .. well, only sort of.
I didn’t get any actual «work» done of the aesthetic nature, per se, but had to find a surgeon to check out a birthmark on my face that might have been malignant. My parents and I had scoured the very vast Bay Area for the right doctor to help us out and after a good handful, I knew I wanted to come back here. Of all the doctors that I’d checked out, Dr. Friedenthal was not only the nicest and the most patient, but he was by far the most knowledgeable and, though this should come as a default with doctors — it sadly doesn’t, an instant trust was established. I knew without a doubt that he was the right doctor. He was super patient with my parents and I while laying out on the table for us us several options of how to proceed with my birthmark.
I still come back here for the occasional check up on my face, which I’m grateful to report is healing better than I could have asked for and I firmly believe this is because of him. Also, Elaine the receptionist/​front desk girl is the sweetest person I’ve dealt with in all my experiences of going to any doctor.
As a bonus, there’s also always a huge array of magazines neatly sprawled on the coffee table in the waiting area, which not only provides several really soft cushy chairs and a long couch, but is comfortably lit and not with a harsh fluorescent light like a lot of waiting rooms have.
