Description

Specialties

Handmade artisan chocolates and confections, made in San Francisco.

History

Established in 1997.

Michael Recchiuti and his wife Jacky began Recchiuti Confections in San Francisco, selling chocolates from the back of their car at the local farmer’s market. Over the years, their labor of love grew right along with the city itself, moving into the Ferry Building Market Place when it opened its doors several years ago. Then, as now, Michael painstakingly selects each ingredient that goes into the final confection. Michael’s love for art, food and life are told in the chocolates he still makes and sells in San Francisco. It is a truly artisanal and decadent experience.

Michael’s life is filled with art, music, food and lots of friends, so the look of his chocolates act as a show and tell of his favorite things. Some feature drawings, etchings and paintings from his favorite San Francisco artists, while others are adorned with Japanese block prints. Whether it’s building woodfire ovens, playing the drums he keeps in the Recchiuti office space, or hanging around with his wife Jacky, Michael knows just how lucky he is.
