Progress Foundation’s Avenues is an Acute Diversion Unit in an Upscale Residential House Located in San Francisco’s Sunset area at the foothill of UCSF Medical Center. It serves its purpose beautifully to provide an effective alternative to hospitalization for single adults. The work Progress Foundation Avenue takes place within the context of perfectly designed residential programs, where residents cook for one another, take initiative in planning their lives, share their experiences, and learn new coping skills enhanced by other resident’s help. Skills that span from keeping possessions safe, getting around the city, teaching how to cook, clean, wash, listen and mostly letting go to build a different way of living with abundant quiet time and space. Remarkable Settings Avenues is orchestrated by precaution for safety, well-tailored but structured social re-adaptation practice, well selected and highly trained finest counselors both full time and part time.
