We are a retail optical shop established in 1983, specializing in quality new and vintage discount eyeglasses, sunglasses, hard, soft and color contact lenses. We also do some minor repairs on broken frames whenever possible and can use patient’s own frames to replace the lenses. We can also put patient’s old lenses in new frames. Our prices start at $ 69.00 complete for a pair of single vision glasses including frame and clear plastic lenses, $ 99.00 complete for regular flat top bifocals and $ 200.00 complete for progressive bifocals. Lots of different color tints are available, A/​R coating as well as glass, photogrey, transitions, polarized, polycarbonate and other popular materials. We use only highest grade materials available and the turn-​around time for a pair of glasses is anywhere between 1 hour up to 2 weeks in most cases. We have most of contact lens powers in stock including color contacts for dark eyes. We can do some special orders as well. 1000 frames to choose from!

Established in 1983.

Our business was established in 1983 and the original location used to be at 2527 Mission street between 21^st and 22^nd streets. We had to move around the corner to our current location at 3169 21^st street back in 2006 when the original location building was demolished.

Business Owner

Felix Shrayber, the owner of PayLess Optical came to America with his parents in 1978 from Odessa, Ukraine when he was just 15 years old, and after 5 years of hard work and dedication to his profession, was able to pass both tests of ABO and NCLE to become a certified optician and contact lens technician. He has been maintaining both of his licenses ever since by completing all the necessary continuing education courses.
