After, leaving a review on this website which you can read for Dr. Litton, I was retaliated against, by another dentist in the city. During an orthadontic consultation with Dr. Winton Quock DDS my left front tooth was chipped, which caused severe pain. I was unable to get emergency treatment for the problem, in addition, to both, my two front teeth being mishandled and deformed, to try and cover for the chipped tooth, trying to disguise the problem.

I had to have a root canal a couple weeks ago. Thankfully, Dr. Lee was the doctor who did the procedure. He explained the procedure perfectly, answering all of my questions and using drawings to explain how he was going to fix my tooth. A couple days after the root canal I started to get pain in my tooth. I called him at 7pm on Friday evening. He immediately called in a prescription for me and then proceeded to call the next 3 days to make sure that everything was doing better. I highly recommend him. He follows through with what he says and my tooth has never felt better. Thanks so much!

Dr. Lee is the best endodontist I’ve ever had. His staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. I like how he tells you what’s going on and has the most up to date equipment.

Dr. Lee is an incredible endodontist. He did an amazing job diagnosing and performing a root canal and apicoectomy and then following through my entire treatment making sure I was improving every day. He goes above and beyond and his staff are really fantastic .I highly recommend him !

Doctor Edward Lee is simply the finest root canal specialist period in the Bay Area In all respects. Extremely professional, caring and able to diagnosis accurately, take correct action quickly and complete the work perfectly.
Special mention: the staff is also the best. Professional, friendly and very helpful always. Lastly my five visits with Doctor Lee were surprisingly almost painless. I was able to nap during the second portion of my root canal procedure.

I saw Dr Lee for a root canal. He is amazing! He talks you through the procedure, so you will always know what’s coming up. This was perfect for me as I am a rather high anxiety dental patient. Based on previous experience, years ago with another dentist, I expected the procedure to be painful as well as painful for a few days after. Not at all! I’m not sure why this experience was so different from my first root canal experience. But I chalk it up to the skill of Dr Lee. His office staff are very sweet and helpful as well. If you need dental work done, go here!

I just had my first ever root canal here, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience (given, of course, that it had to happen at all).
Everything was explained carefully before we started, Dr. Lee couldn’t have been nicer or more skilled, there have been no after-​problems at all… all in all I’d highly recommend Parkside Endodontics.

I was refereed to Dr Lee by my own dentist for a root canal and he assured me that Dr Lee was the best in the business. I have only had the first half of the procedure but so far I can say that his reputation is well deserved. He is careful, gentle and very thorough. He told me it should under normal circumstances be painless and it was!
I have now had the second half and once agin it was almost painless. he warned me that they might be a little discomfort for up to a week. There was no pain at all after the first day. I would recommend anyone, if they are unfortunate enough to need a root canal, to have Dr Lee do it!

Dr. Weller recently performed a root canal on me just before a long weekend. He seemed very cordial, efficient and competent, although only time will tell whether or not the tooth was saved. Anyway, I was sent away with instructions to use ibuprofen for pain, but no antibiotics or prescriptions despite a warning on the instruction handout that infection could set in and require antibiotics. Dr. Weller’s pager number was shown and he personally admonished me to call him immediately if I had a problem.
In the afternoon of the following day, the tooth was becoming more painful and the surrounding tissue was beginning to swell. I began calling Dr. Weller the following morning, both on his pager and at his office (which was closed). All I ever got was voice mail. As the swelling and pain increased I was able to reach the dentist who had referred me to Dr. Weller and she immediately phoned a prescription to my pharmacy. I finally began a course of antibiotics that should have started following the surgery. Late in the evening of the following day Dr. Weller left a message on my voice mail explaining that he’d had a glitch with his pager/​phone that had delayed him receiving my message and that he was very sorry for my trouble.
The one-​hour procedure cost me $ 1,100; I expect better post-​op treatment than I got.

Dr. Edward Lee was great! Had to have a root canal redone from many years ago. Even the novacaine shots were virually painless. He was efficient and made me very comfortable with a procedure that I was not looking forward to. I am very impressed!

Dr. Lee saved my 16 year old son from having an unnecessary root canal.
In January, our regular dentist put in a filling on my son’s back molar, and after that the tooth was sensitive to hot or cold liquids. Our dentist then sent us to an endodontist, who said my son needed a root canal. We decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Lee.
At the initial visit, Dr. Lee was straightforward, clear and concise in explaining the problem, the options, his proposed plan of action, and the cost. He could see by the x-​ray that there was a deep cavity below the filling, that our regular dentist had missed.
Although he was booked out for weeks, he fit my son in during the following week, as he did not want the deep cavity to worsen.
During the procedure, I actually sat in and watched Dr. Lee perform the work on my son. Dr. Lee is very good at explaining things to the patient as he proceeds. He is precise in his work, and leaves you with no doubt that you have chosen an extremely competent and excellent doctor.
After cleaning out the filling and deep cavity below, Dr. Lee showed me the cleaned out tooth, and used his dental instrument to tap on the tooth below, indicating that the cavity was deep, but fortunately, it was a few millimeters away from the pulp. That meant simply filling the cavity and saving my son from a root canal at such a young age.
We are very grateful for Dr. Lee, and for Dr. Jeffrey Fujimoto, the oral surgeon who referred us to Dr. Lee.

Several months has passed since Dr. Lee performed an apicoectomy on an existing tooth (which had already underwent a previous root canal). I am happy to say that I am pleased with the overall results.
Prior to the apicoectomy, the infected tooth caused occasional dull pains. Then one day, I woke up with an excruciating toothache that felt like a piercing migraine. I made an appointment with my dentist who then referred me to Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee saw me the same day. He was very thorough — took x-​rays, explained the procedure, presented options, offered his recommendation, operated, sent me home with an ice pack, and followed up with me later that evening to ensure that I was doing alright. My pain was well managed and swelling was minimal. Since the procedure, the dull pain I once experienced is nonexistent. Excellent job.

I do not love root canals, but Dr. Weller is a pro. He made my first (and hopefully only), root canal experience positive. He and his staff are personable, professional, and really, really nice. He explained what he was doing during the procedure because he sense I was interested. He made sure I wasn’t in pain, and he was definitely focused on doing a good job. I would recommend him to anyone getting a root canal.

This is the best place to have a root canal procedure done, bar none. Almost completely painless, fast, gentle + reassuring to boot. If you must have the work done, come here, you’ll be glad you did!
note: later the day of my procedure Dr. Lee called me to see how I was doing. Is that great service or what?

Edward Lee was referred to me by Jobie Low a dentist in West Portal. I had been suffering for 3 months from a tooth that reacted badly to a crown and developed irreversible pulpitis. Unlike another endodontist I went to see in the area, who wanted to do a root canal on the spot, Dr. Lee in his first consultation immediately said he always would try to preserve the vitality of a tooth wherever possible but that a root canal was a resort that was needed in case of infection or conditions that would simply not get better. He offered a conservative course of action without a root canal as first step but I knew things were not going to get better after suffering through 2 temporary crowns and a permanent one for 12 weeks. My tooth also felt it was going to explode whenever I got on a plane and we started ascending. Whilst ultimately, the end result and prognosis was the same, a root canal is a big deal, and a big procedure in my book which needs both consideration and thought. After all, you’re consenting to the removal of living tissue from your body no matter how small and of course things can always go wrong!
My tooth needed 3 root canals and I was nervous that the tooth would not withstand the drilling and I would be in a much pain. I was in the chair for about an hour and 20 minutes and most of the work was done — a follow up appointment is needed to finish off but for the first time in 3 months I can now eat on the right side of the mouth, drink cold and hot liquids and look forward to the Christmas indulgences without fear! For that I am truly grateful. No post procedure pain, minimal swelling and a fabulous endodontist who goes to great lengths to keep you informed all during the procedure and explains everything he is doing with diagrams and photos. Dr. Lee has an excellent manner and great compassion although I would prefer it if I could stay away from his office as much as possible! A complete professional and highly recommended — well worth the wait if you can’t get into his appointment book when you want to. You’ll be glad you did.

This is where (without a doubt) you want to be should you need to have this kind of work done.
Having the misfortune of chronic damage to my teeth from years of clenching I have seen many a dentist through the years. Parkside Endo was referred by my dentist because I had a failing root canal/​crown from some 15 years ago.
Dr. Lee did the evaluation and felt confident that retreating the tooth would the way to go. He was kind and compassionate in his dealings with my obvious «issues» around dental work. He did a great job ensuring my comfort during the procedure. Sadly however, when my dentist removed the old crown, a crack was found and it looks as though the tooth will have to go anyway.
After my dentist contacted Dr. Lee with his findings, I received a call from Dr. Lee. He explained that sometimes there is no way to see something like this until the crown is removed (same as my dentist told me) and that the last thing he wants to ever do is put someone through a long, painful procedure unnecessarily. He then apologized for me having to go through it (even though it wasn’t his fault or lacking in any way) and then he generously waived the unpaid portion of my bill!
Dr. Lee is a living example of kindness, compassion and generosity! This is what makes not only a great dentist, but also a great human being!

I’m not entirely sure how to give a positive review based on a root canal, but here it is.
I was referred to Parkside Endodontics by my regular dentist, Donna Lem over at Jang & Associates General & Family Dentistry, when I needed a wacky x-​ray and painful tooth evaluated by an endodontist.
They had readily available appointments and a friendly and professional staff. The office was clean and easy to get to off the L-​Taraval. Dr. Weller got me seriously numb before proceeding with the root canal. They appear to have properly billed my insurance company for the considerable expense that a root canal incurs.
I guess that’s the most you can hope for from an experience like that, and yet it was a root canal and so I just can’t bring myself to give them all the stars!
