My stuff got back to me okay but initially I took my two scarves here to get dry cleaned because one of them had a previous owner that must have been a heavy smoker because it had a horrible stench and I was hoping it would be smoke free after dry cleaning but it still has a slight stretch and now I have to go to another cleaners to get it done again… I probably wouldn’t bring my stuff back here as it seems it wasn’t done in good fashion.

Have been relying on Ocean Laundry for wash-and-fold and dry cleaning for years, and we are always satisfied with the quality of their work, and the fair prices. They are fast, respectful, and reliable — and I’d recommend them to anyone in the neighborhood.

Beware, this place writes(!) in your items with thick black ink. My white shirts were all marked and as I wear them sometimes untucked, the huge marks from the outsorced drycleaner is obviously visible. When I asked for compensation for the damaged shirts(I thought $ 20 per shirt was reasonable), they refused and insisted that they’ll take it to the drycleaner and have the marks removed. Not only they did they only remove the marks partially, but they wanted to charge me for this service! Very unprofessional and cheeky. The owners barely speak English, so reasoning with them is as futile as trying to remove the black ink from my shirts. Just go across the street for a professional and polite dry cleaner, and avoid Ocean Laundry.

Do not go to this place unless you don’t care about your stuff! Everything is fine UNTIL they lose or ruin an article of clothing. Maybe they do laundry OK but forget about Dry Cleaning! My gf dropped off her $ 200 Guess jacket with them. When we came to pick it up she was approached by the male owner who surprisingly enough came clean and said the jacket got ruined as the material dried and cracked. OK, so s%$t happens right? So when asked what they were going to do they said that they have another cleaners that she can go to and pick out a jacket from them? «Eww a used jacket» she said. So she obviously declined that. Then they go on to tell us they outsource their dry cleaners and they need to call them. After 30 min. they say they can offer $ 120 but not until Monday when they can speak to the owner of the outsourced Dry Cleaner. So come today(Tuesday) my gf goes in to inquire about at least getting the $ 120 and was told they wont give her anything without a receipt for the jacket that was bought over a year ago. I recently moved here from NYC and these people are shady even for NYC. When my gf asked for the jacket off the Lady owner(Mrs. Zhou?) actually tried to rip off the tags showing it was dry cleaned by them! My gf managed to rip it out of her hands and this will be used as evidence in small claim court. Believe me, this $ 200 will cost them a lot more in the end. These people have no idea on how to run a business as I have been dropping by business attire off to them every week for the last year so they basically were getting around $ 20-$ 30 from me a week. So to recap, for $ 120 they lost a $ 20-$ 30 a week customer, Better Business Bureau will be contacted and a complaint filed, a case will be filed with small claims court, getting flamed on Unilocal and any other media outlet that I can warn people about their shady mcgradyness!

Ocean Laundry and Cleaners not only does the usual laundry and alterations but Mrs. Zhou also repairs man-purses and gadget bags for a very reasonable price. Most places won’t do these type of repairs so most damaged gadget bags just get thrown away. I have a belt case that fits my cell, palm and fast pass that was falling apart. I searched and couldn’t find a replacement. Mrs. Zhou brought it back to life, a San Francisco gem.

Rita is fantastic. Pros: 1. Reliable 2. Consistently lower cost 3. Very nice 4. Great if your needs are not urgent; turn-around times are about 2 or 3 days. 5. Rita is really nice and can also make some alterations at competitive price(most competitive in area) 6. Rita also occasionally fixes holes, rips, tears, or missing buttons for free if they are small. she also fixed a nice coat as well. Cons: 1. No same-day or 1 day service 2. Cannot dry clean complex/special cases 3. Cash/check only 4. Closed Sundays
