I can’t say enough good things about Nura.
I injured my knee from sitting on it for weird position and tennis elbow from playing tennis.
She has treated me since October last year with acupuncture and message therapy.
I am so happy with the quality of her treatment. I feel so much better now and I sleep better too! She is very intuitive and knowledgable. And her message is to die for. I felt amazing during and after.
I wish I could explain better how great she is.

Never available — not for 3 months! Bought a groupon coupon for her services in December and she said she was fully booked for the next two or more weeks. In the new year, we tried to book a time and she said she was booked for the next three months and had no availability! Yet, in the past few days, Groupon sent me an email advertising her services again. I bought this as a gift for my wife in December but, if she can’t use it until late April or May, it’s useless. We’re moving away in May. I had hoped to find a good massage therapist who could help my wife every few weeks while we’re in the area. However, Nura is a inaccessible as the Wizard of Oz. Good luck scheduling an appointment with her if you get tricked into buying a Groupon coupon.

Nura is great! She has helped me with my injuries through her body work. She is a great listener and understands your physical and mental needs.
I highly recommend Nura, but if you have a busy schedule like me — book her in advance!

I first went to Nura last year, when I was studying for the bar and incredibly tense, stressed out, and anxious. At that time, I was having a lot of issues falling asleep and sleeping well. I had never tried acupuncture before and was slightly nervous. Nura’s calm demeanor and professionalism really assured me that I was in good hands. She gently placed all the needles in my body. The sensation was an acupuncture virgin was a little surprising– a little prickly feeling. But once the next needle was placed, I immediately forgot about the last needle. I was knocked out as soon as she closed the door to let me relax. All of a sudden, 30 minutes had elapsed. That was the best and really only nap I took in months. I felt so relaxed. To top it off, I ended with a one-​hour massage that really put me in such a great mindset and put my body at ease at such a stressful time. I still go to her today.

I have been going to Nura now for about a month or so (3 treatments) for acupuncture.
I’ve suffered from chronic migraines and tension headaches my whole life and recently, about 2 – 3 months ago, my headaches started getting worse. By worse I mean stronger and longer, much longer. I was suffering from headaches at least 4 – 5 times a week, if not everyday, and it wasn’t getting any better. After a doctors visit and the usually «oh let me prescribe you this and that to make them go away temporarily,» I finally had had enough of the pills and decided to make a change of my own. My doctor had recommended acupuncture or any method of trying to reduce stress from my life and so I researched and found Nura through all of these amazing reviews below. Let’s just say they weren’t lying.
About a week or so before meeting with Nura, I also decided to make a drastic change in my diet. At this point, the headaches were getting so bad that I needed to try anything to help reduce the pain. I thought my diet was probably a primary reason behind the headaches so that was the first thing I changed.
When I finally met with Nura for my first session, I instantly felt comfortable and helped. She listened to every little detail I told her, from my terrible diet habits to my long history of headaches, and after about an hour of talking to her, she really seemed eager and ready to take on the challenge. She was so positive about the possibility of reducing the pain that it just made me feel like it was finally the end to all of this.
After the 3 sessions of acupuncture, I have a seen and felt an EXTREME change in my body. Not only have I not had headaches, but I have also felt more energized and my mood has been a lot better. I can actually handle a stressful day without finishing my day with an awful migraine.
I truly think Nura has a magic touch. Every session I go to I instantly feel relieved and most importantly comfortable. She is extremely easy to talk to and gives you so much feedback about what changes would be good for your body. Everyone is different, and she definitely makes a point to address that, which is why I love that she has been so thoughtful about helping me. Everytime I go she asks how my eating habits have been, if I’m hydrating enough, and if anything has changed recently. With about a week apart for each session, these are questions that I feel most would not really bother asking, because of the short period of time for change. But she asks. She asks about your body, your mind, and your feelings. I have never felt this much attention from any doctor before, and trust me I have gone to many.
I definitely feel that her treatments combined with a better diet have helped so much. She’s also helped a lot with actually keeping me on track with my diet changes because she is consistently asking questions and giving tips! She has truly helped me more than anyone before and I couldn’t be happier!

Nura is very professional, talented, and honest. After my first visit, she realized that I over-​paid her because of a Groupon error. She immediately rectified the situation. I will definitely be going back to her the next time I need a massage.

Nura is wonderful and the best accupuncturist I have been to. I have tried five for my chronic pain problems over the years and never stuck with any of them. I actually thought accupuncture was bunk until I went to Nura. Now I am seeing her every week indefinitely. She is that effective. I tried to go down to once every two weeks and by the second week I called her to fit me in because my pain levels were getting worse. It’s amazing to me that I can feel the difference after one treatment. Her office is very cozy and relaxing as well and Nura is extremely nice to talk with. I wholeheartedly recommend Nura.

Nura is AMAZING in every way! I went to her about two months ago for horrible back pain that was traveling up my shoulders and neck. I tried everything before finding Nura to no avail. I went for massages, took baths in epson salt, took medicine, used warm wraps — nothing worked (!) and I was in a lot of pain. I had never done acupuncture before but I was desperate for help and did some research on line — all the reviews on Nura were right! In just 2 sessions with her I felt 95% cured and by the third session I was fully cured. She has a wonderful healing touch and gives the best massages I have ever had (and I’ve had many). After the back pain, she helped me sort out other issues I was having too.
Nura is so sweet and dedicated to her craft. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are helped in a holistic way by providing you with other resources to help with your ailments or concerns, emailing you about herbal medicines, or articles of interest to read. I loved my time with Nura so much that after recently finding out I am pregnant I have decided to continue treatments and massages with her to help me stay healthy and calm during the journey. Her warm, caring, knowledgeable and nurturing presence makes me feel so supported! Thank you Nura!

Nura saved me!!!
I was betwixt and between insurance approval for a work-​related injury and in great pain. I had visited a primary care facility which outlined a treatment plan that recommended acupuncture. As I waited for approval, by serendipity, I had signed up for a massage with her and discovered she is a licensed acupuncturist close to my Inner Richmond neighborhood; she is across the park in the Inner Sunset.
Nura was extremely flexible in her scheduling by squeezing me into her day for a desperately needed treatment, my pain was at #10.
She was sensitive and thorough with her intake and analysis, and terrific and professional in executing treatment. She spent a great deal of time with me and I felt much improved when I left her office after massage and acupuncture, in fact I could walk with my head held high where I could not before.
Nura wrote appropriate paperwork that I could submit for reimbursement after I paid out-​of-​pocket for my treatment.
I will definitely return to Nura for further massage and acupuncture.

Nura is wonderful! She has helped me immensely with all sorts of issues. I have suffered from joint pain and fatigue due to an autoimmune condition, plantar fasciitis and sciatic pain and she has helped me with all of them! The ability to get massage and acupuncture from the same person has been awesome – she really knows her stuff!
She is very warm, compassionate and easy to talk to and I know she really cares about my well-​being and what’s happening in my day-​to-​day. She takes time to really listen to what’s going on with me and offers advice and possible remedies. I have already recommended her to others for these reasons and because the changes I have seen in my own pain levels are enough of a testament to her care.

I love seeing Nura, she takes a holistic approach when it comes to her acupuncture practice, she is fully present with me when we sit down to discuss what’s going on with my body, checks in on an emotional level, and ensures I am comfortable and relaxed during the treatments. She is also very clear in her explanation of the treatment itself, its purpose and what can be reasonably expected. She’s a straight shooter and very caring and pleasant. For my last visit, I was feeling run down and like I was catching a cold. She administered an acupuncture treatment, as well as cupping and herbal therapy, and within a matter of hours I was feeling much better and with great energy. I never did get that cold :)

I have been going to Nura for over 10 years. I consider her my «massage therapist» and she is the only person I’ve ever been to who has performed a combination of Reiki and massage that has cured, not masked, my migraines. It’s been well worth it for me to drive, even with a migraine, from Oakland to see her. When I’m in her care I can feel her absolute presence and I highly recommend her as a healer.

Nura is fantastic! I’ve been going to her regularly for massage work for about a year and a half, and I am always left feeling relaxed and calm. I originally started going to her because of chronic headaches — she was the only person who was able to keep a headache from getting worse when I saw her right away. It was amazing! From then on I kept up our visits, and have been very happy with her care.

I wanted to support Nura McCauley’s practice as an Acupuncuturist. I came to Nura months ago with severe Bronchitis and was feeling fairly miserable for a few weeks. I have had bouts of Bronchitis for years, since I used to be a smoker. Nura treated me with herbs and Acupuncture. I felt so taken care of her. She is so comforting and made me feel relaxed and cared for, which is also what I needed. I love the «heated» massage table where she wraps me up with a comfy blanket and it is quiet and I feel renewed and refreshed. The needles are fairly small, so there is no pain.
I noticed that after my first treatment, I started to feel better. With the addition of herbs, I felt stronger and my immune system has become stronger and since my initial visit, I have felt generally healthier and am no longer getting sick, even though there are many people at my job, that are frequently ill. Also, she is such a genuine soul, that you end up feeling nurtured during the time you are there. I gave Nura’s work a five star rating because I think she deserves a six.

I have been a dancer for 40 years and generally active. I’ve had some back issues and surgeries for rotator cuff on both shoulders for dislocations. I’ve needed a lot of body work so have experienced many practitioners. Nura is the best I’ve found! Her combination of sincere compassion, listening, intuition and just the right application for whatever ails me make me crave her healing approach. She’s relieved my body for over 12 years.

Nura was recommended to me by another gifted healer who moved out of the city as someone she would see when she had pain or other issues. I’ve been seeing Nura for about two years now for back pains and a few other ailments from time to time. She is an empathic healer who uses multiple modalities to treat the whole of the body. She is fantastic.
Recently, when my back went into spasm, I saw her the next morning and literally was completely better in 2 days. Now this isn’t always going to be the case for everyone, but on this occasion she used a combination of massage, cupping and acupuncture.
