History
Established in 2005.
This school has been in this location for over 20 years. Before it became Northern Tiger Kenpo, It was the Alemany Karate school, run by Senior Grand Master Rick Alemany. I started my training under Grand Master Rick Alemany in 1975. Before then I trained withSifu Roy Castro, Brother of Great Grand Master Ralph Castro. In 1983 I restarted My formal training under Rick Alemany. I trained with him for over 20 years, until his semi-retirement to Hawaii, in 2003.

Sifu Nash has been teaching Kenpo Karate for over twenty years. He started his Martial Arts training in 1970 with the late Roy Castro, brother of Great Grand Master Ralph Castro. After four years in the Marines he returned to S.F. In 1975 he then started his trainng With Grand Master Rick Alemany. In the 80’s he trained with Ark Wong and at the I.M.B. Academy under Dan Inosanto. In 1983, he returned to training with Rick Alemany. He trained with Grandmaster Alemany till his retirement to Hawaii. Sifu Nash’s training experience with Grand Master Alemany and the many Masters that came to train at the school has enabled him to understand the martial arts and to teach it with an attention to detail that makes it work. His experiences with the martial arts have enabled Sifu Nash to create a fully equiped dojo, one that is dedicated to the martial artist. Heavy bags, sand bags, a unique wing chun dummy station and a full set of weights combine to make a one of a kind dojo.
