Wow! This place is great. Beginning with a simple phone call to inquire about services to help my specific needs with quickbooks online all the way to helping reconcile accounts and teach me the basics of what and how things need to be done – this place is AMAZING! Madhur (owner) spoke with me on the phone initially as I explained my frustration and problems with Quickbooks online and I did not once feel pressured or rushed or that I wasn’t doing things correctly. He assured me that the program was complicated and not perfect but that he would be happy to help guide me through what needed to be done and teach me how to maintain things fairly simply and quickly. I felt confident that I would gain from some one-​on-​one time in front of a computer with my accounts showing and a teacher to let me «drive» but explain what needed to happen and where things were going wrong rather then an over the phone support help from quickbooks themselves (tried this for 4 hours to only troubleshoot and make things worse).
I met with Madhur who set me up with his colleague Sana. Sana was patient and informative. She not only was able to find the issues I was having with the online program but she helped to explain why things were happening as they were and to reconcile a years worth of minor errors.
The entire time I worked with Madhur and Sana they were informative, honest, patient and trustworthy. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Quickbooks/​Accounting/​Bookkeeper help. I will continue to use them in the future with any small business accounting needs I may have.

I started working with My Online Bookkeeper about a year ago. I had been struggling for years with my previous accounting software and had a major mess to sort out. My Online Bookkeeper took the time to carefully review and understand my specific needs in terms of financial reporting and did an outstanding job setting up our books. My books are now accurate, easy to understand and updated in a very timely fashion.

I just finished an immersive training/​consultation with Madhur & I am very impressed with the knowledge and advise he shared with me !
My background is a small business owner and quickbooks/​accounting is new to me. I mean very new. Like, what’s a P&L report? What I needed from a consultant was detailed knowledge to help me set up my business correctly, how to properly log and process each step.
I met with other accountant folks, some of who were CPA’s, and for different reasons they didn’t fit my needs correctly (some wanted retainers, others couldn’t work on a mac) .
Madhur was professional, reliable and good at his job. I recommend his services, especially if you need quickbooks help.

I’m a new business owner with some Quickbooks experience. I originally contacted Robert T. Speller with Turner Accounting Group (from Craigslist) and after 1 — 4 hour session I called him back to help me finish what we couldn’t finish and he flaked on me and attempted to reschedule and did not call me back. I was livid, went on Unilocal and contacted My Online Bookkeeper. Jessica directed me to Madhur right away and I was able to talk to him about what me needs were. I scheduled a session with him and in 2 hours he taught me everything plus so much more than what Robert Turner had not in 4 hours. I even had a question later on and Madhur got on the phone with me and my husband and did not charge me. They are really a great group of knowledgeable people and very professional. I really recommend them!

Madhur and his staff have been wonderful in taking care of the small business I manage. Small, but it has a very complicated bookkeeping system which is compounded by my boss using personal funds which then need reimbursed, and having two offices one of which is out of country. Oh all those categories! My CPA thought he was prompt, clear and was very pro-​active.
Not only is My Online Bookkeeper efficient but also I trust them with this most personal of information.
Now I am not the easiest of customers. I don’t get stuff to him each month, there are so many credit cards that even I have problems keeping it all straight but I have been impressed at how understanding he has been of the stressors of my job. He has worked with me to find a way that works for me, and that means getting him info and then telling him my boss wants the figures ASAP.
I love the fact everything is online based as I can do my end of the work at anytime, send him an email that the information has been uploaded to DropBox and then his staff begins the work. He and his staff have been excellent at answering my questions, trying to educate me and being willing to do things the way I want them done, even if it means more work for him. The prices are reasonable.
Writing this review reminds me I have to get last quarter to him to have his staff input. Ugh! If only that was as easy as writing a review for My Online Bookkeeper. (PS, they will access all items online if you give them view only access to your accounts, I just have not gotten around to doing that with all these accounts my boss opens up. I guess this is job security for me!)
They are not CPAs; you will need one of those if you need things done that only CPAs can legally do. I appreciate they do not bend this rule; a few bookkeepers I talked to seem to not care about that part of their ethics. Madhur is very ethical and will be straight with you if you need a different professional.
Use My Online Bookkeeper! Your CPA will be happy, the boss will think you are a superstar and you can sleep at night knowing you’re in great hands.

Madhur gets you to agree for a certain hourly rate, but when it comes to action he keeps adding additional charges and policies for the simplest things.
He put an incompetent staff to do our books who doesn’t know a lot of things in quickbooks and when I asked Madhur to check the work of his staff and correct if there is any issue he said he will charge additional $ 150/​hour to do it. He claims it is the controller work which has higher rate. I don’t understand, if your staff knows what to do, there is no need for someone to review the work. The only review needed is a CPA’s review at the end of the year to make final adjustments.
Now I am stuck with their work which I don’t know about its accuracy and he is not willing to spend time to review it unless he gets paid that large hourly rate.
I will hire a real CPA for the same or even lower rate to review their work.
He basically doesn’t disclose to you the real charges and policies at the beginning and when he hooks you in, he starts to become difficult in rendering services.
On the positive side, they are prompt with their response to emails and calls.
P. S. This is an edit of my previous review since I was contacted by them who didn’t seem to be happy and offered me to do what they can to resolve my issue. I don’t want to hurt their business so I made sure I describe my complaint more accurately.

I have worked with My Online Bookkeeper for almost 2 years now after finding them on-​line. Madhur and his staff have been very accommodating, extremely professional and very easy to work with. My account has been handled by Malvika and I have nothing but very high regards for her — always on point, always on time and very personable.

If I could give negative stars I would. One of the hardest times in my life and this company, Goldwyn in particular, made it worse.
I found them on Unilocal because they have a deal and I am on a budget and needed immediate help with some work that needed to be done by a CPA.

I even mentioned that I would be a repeat customer and was willing to pay more.
Just crazy. Don’t waste your time. Find a CPA that is in your corner. These people can make our lives easier, save us money and are invaluable. However, not these.

We have been using My Online Bookkeeper for the past 7 months and it has been a great experience. Madhur has been super helpful, responsive, and informative. I feel like our financials are in a good and organized place for the first time since we opened in 2009. Plus, they are reasonable priced and always get back to me right away if I have any questions. I can’t recommend Madhur and his team enough in terms of cost, responsiveness, quality and integrity. Although their fees are extremely reasonable, I have found over the past year working with them that they can handle anything from Quickbooks to high-​level CFO advisory services. Our early-​stage technology company retained their consulting services several times to help us improve our chart of accounts, establish more streamlined financial processes, create budgets and forecasts and establish financial controls.
They took the time to understand the ins-​and-​outs of our particular business and think about solutions that best addressed our needs. Our company greatly benefited from their expertise. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing Quickbooks assistance or CFO-​level advice.

I was elected treasurer for my HOA, and I had no, zip, nada experience with QuickBooks. So, as the HOA was arguing over how much money to spend on a roof replacement, I knew I had to inject some sanity into the confusion. It was then that I discovered my home grown techniques for getting the books to balance don’t necessarily produce a credible profit and loss statement. Oh, well.
