Our state of the art facility is equipped to handle every automotive service from oil changes and air conditioning work to factory scheduled maintenance and engine repairs to collision and frame repairs and paint. 90% of vehicles that come in are picked up the same day. We’ve built our reputation on honesty and integrity and our goal is to get your vehicle back on the road quickly and efficiently at the best value. My Mechanic SF is family owned and operated and is an extension of our award winning auto repair shop «The Garage». We believe our shop is successful because we have a team that not only understands cars, but understands customer service. I had Jason come to the school where I work. He changed the oil in my Lexus. Gave me a credit because it did not use as much oil as estimated. He was friendly and professional. He topped off all the fluids in my car. It was so convenient, I did not have to take time away from my Saturday to get it done and I did not have to drive any place.

I brought in my Nissan to get a check engine light /​car stalling issue checked out. These guys are great! They did a thorough inspection of the car, explained the issue, and gave me a reasonable price point to fix the problem. Warren was a pleasure to talk to and was super helpful and responsive.
They also gave me a heads up about other problems that they found without pressuring me to spend any extra money on repairs that could wait. On top of that, they even did a free re-​check of the car when I noticed a slow ignition problem afterwards, which turned out to be unrelated.

Found this place on Unilocal because of the location. The directions Google Maps gave me were a bit off, they were saying this place was located on the right side of Folsom but they were actually on the left.
2007 Honda Accord synthetic oil change cost me $ 52 dollars total. Buying a case of synthetic oil would be around $ 40 from Costco and $ 20 oil filter from O’Reilly Auto Parts.
If you have a Honda go to their site and use their coupon (expires 1÷30÷2016).
Excellent service would definitely come back for other services too.

Warren and the rest of My Mechanic staff have been amazing. They have taken good care of my 13 year old, 125,000+ miles Dee Dee (Dodge Durango). They do efficient work, and they don’t give you the run around. What they say it will cost for the service is whats going to be, and prices are very reasonable. They have also just taken in my car without an appointment, I just called and they were able to see me that same day (they get really busy and I appreciated it so much). I would highly recommend My Mechanic to all my friends and family.

Its hard to find a reputable mechanic but this place makes it easy for you. They will tell you exactly what you need and what you don’t really need at the moment. Its excellent service for a great price! Making an appointment online was pretty easy but please call to double check your appointment time. Problem was that they didn’t have my appointment time that I made online. Warren however, apologized and told me that he was able to make some time in the day to see my car. I was in and out on the same day. Remember to call to check your appointment time!

There were so many good reviews here that I was at first skeptical — it couldn’t *possibly* be this good. They must be padding reviews and strongly encouraging people to place good reviews with incentives or something…
I still decided to give them a shot though, and just today brought in a Mini Cooper I was looking to purchase today for a used car inspection. This is one of the few times I’ve ever given an unsolicited review, but the way Warren and his team treated me was so unique — and at the same time so down to earth and normal — I felt obligated to put in a review.
I’ve rarely walked out of a mechanic feeling like I’ve gotten what my money was worth — especially in a case like this, where I’ve just paid $ 125 to be told I *shouldn’t* buy this car… but man, was this a good experience.
They spent 1.5 hours thoroughly inspecting every aspect of the car, and identified so many glaring problems I didn’t even begin to know existed. I was prepared to buy the car as being in excellent condition before the inspection — and afterwards, I’m a little terrified of the vehicle. The $ 125 I paid MyMechanic probably saved me thousands in accidental overpayment for a bit of a lemon.
What’s more, Warren actively went out of his way to encourage me to buy *another* vehicle, despite the fact that if I purchased this one, I’d probably bring in $ 2000 – 3000 worth of business to his shop. He even went so far as to call his friend to see if he could get a good deal on a Smart Fortwo for me instead.
So yeah — putting the true best interests of the customer even ahead of the interests of the business, especially when the two don’t align? That’s truly rare. Thanks Warren, and thanks My Mechanic. If I do end up buying this car (for a much discounted price, you can be sure I’ll be coming back here to get all my work done.

Found this place off Unilocal.Came in for my 2005 Infiniti g35×120k service. For the complete service (flushing of all car fluids), I spent $ 500 with tax. The dealership has quoted me $ 1500 for the same service…
Quick turnaround time and friendly service as well. Definitely recommend this place.

When looking for a good mechanic to do a timing belt/​water pump replacement, I chose My Mechanic based on the Unilocal reviews. Glad I did.
I worked with both Howard and Warren, and they were great — professional and friendly. They gave me an honest assessment of what they felt needed changing now and what could wait. They are clearly an outfit with great integrity.

I moved back to the bay after 20 years. Have a Lexus that I was looking for a shop that I could trust. I came to Warren a few months back and have built a relationship with his shop. I just repaired an oil leak coming from my engine and he was fair in his estimate and had the part ordered and work complete within a day.

These guys are the best. I’ve been taking my 18 year old Honda CRV to them since I’ve moved to the City from L.A. They are unfailingly honest. They will actually put off work until whatever part is really worn out and needs to be replaced. They have never padded a bill or even suggested unnecessary repairs. They are fast and thorough. I’ve never had to take the car back because they forgot to put a cap back on or screw something down. They’ve even stayed late during the week or let me come in on a Saturday to pick up my car. If you want an honest, reliable, fair-​priced and expert auto repair place, My Mechanic is where you want to go. Seriously. I cannot recommend them more strongly.

On a recent trip to San Francisco my daughter and her family, while using our 2000 Honda Odyssey van broke down on the Bay Bridge. After a large ordeal and many stops trying to find someone who would try and fix my van she was recommended to My Mechanic. Since they were only going to be in the city until Saturday and it was already Thursday she was desperate. Warren was able to fit us in and make the needed repairs in time for her to return to LA. While the local Honda dealer said we needed a new engine Warren and his team were able to not only fix it but do it at a reasonable price. Thank you so much for working with us and getting us back on the road. I wish My Mechanic was in L.A., they would definitely be my go to Mechanic

Found my new mechanic! It’s such a scary thing… to move and then lose your trusted mechanics. We all know how frustrating car repairs can be and how sketchy they can be. BUT, this place is none of that!
Warren is fabulous — he’s to the point, accommodating, and honest. I came in for a simple oil change but I had asked that they do a multi point inspection just to ensure that my car was in working conditions. Warren called me after a few hours and said the oil change was done but suggested other repairs. He said none were urgent and even mentioned which ones were the cheapest. I ended up just doing all repairs since I like doing everything at once.
He was upfront about the price on the phone so when I saw the bill, I wasn’t surprised.
Prices are reasonable, in my opinion, but people will say otherwise. I’m sure you can find cheaper mechanics, but i’m all about service and honesty. I’ll be coming back here for all my car needs!

Had a great experience today with Tony, the mechanic who came to my house to do some diagnostics on my 2006 Saab (check engine light).
Tony did a great job, and explained everything he was doing. It was a refreshingly collaborative process, and he helped me learn about my weird old car and it’s eccentricities. He helped me figure out what was worth spending money to do, what I could do myself, and what could be deferred without too many negative consequences. I really appreciated his honesty and counsel, and I could not recommend him enough.

Larry and team are easy to work with, and you can’t beat the prices. They also do a great job with explaining what the actual problem is if they’re fixing something.
It’s true that some mechanics are quite shady by telling you a bunch of bs, but Larry and his team are honest and too busy to take on cars with fake problems.

Straight fives… This is not only a great mechanic with great staff, they’re centrally located and always cheaper. I went to one other mechanic in the city and got ripped off. These guys have fixed my car three times, and each time, I shed a tear for the fact that there are still good people in the world.
This place is one of the best businesses in sf. I would spend all my time there if they had a coffee shop inside.
