Really enjoyed my visit to Dr. Ali’s office! He was so personable and even took the time to go over the mundane paperwork personally to welcome me as a patient. He gave me a thorough examination, screening for mouth cancer which is supposed to always be done, but many do not. I had to most gentle teeth cleaning I have ever had and I was sure they werent going to be as sparkly as before. I was wrong! Nice and wide and no soreness. Unfortunately, I must continue my relationship with Dr. Ali because I have some tooth and gum issues! haha. Who likes the dentist, really? He provided me with a detailed care plan for all of the issues that were found in my examination along with the costs of those services. I am glad I found this practice!

The best! I would never go anywhere else (so I guess Dr. Ali can never retire?!). Dr. Ali cares about his patients and his staff exhibits that same care and consideration. Thank you, Dr. Ali.

Hazel the hygienist is thorough and gentle. Dr Ali is so talented and nice. Equipment is state of the art and keeps improving. The office staff is so cheerful and helpful. I have been seeing Dr Ali since he opened this practice. Have had several crowns. I like the fact that crowns are made in the office while you are there. Only 1 visit needed. I trust Dr Ali and will continue going to him.

I went to Dr. Ali since I was not happy with my
smile and my teeth were always chipping. His staff is awesome since they made it possible for me to see Dr. Ali right away. They are very quick to respond and send text reminders about my appointments.
Took x-​rays of my teeth and he discussed options for the route we would take to get me closer to a nicer smile. He explained these options very thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable
with the treatment plan we were going to use.
He makes sure that his work is something that I would be happy with.
One front tooth was chipped off then he told
me he would fix the 4 front teeth so he did not mind staying late to complete the work. While I am waiting for my Invisalign, he fixed
my front teeth with nice white composite. I can’t wait to look in the mirror with a better smile. I’m sure it will be great because of Dr. Ali.
His office is clean and bright, his machines are new and state of the art. Going to the dentist does not have to be so painful and inconvenient with a nice dentist like Dr. Ali and his staff. Would recommend Dr. Ali as a reliable and very capable general dentist and cosmetic dentist. Five stars!

If you are going anywhere else for dental work, you are making a mistake. One of the best dentists ever, with the most courteous and friendly staff that will treat you like family.

I have had a very positive experience at Mohamed Ali Dentistry. His staff are very nice and caring people, I have only good things to say about them. I have the misfortune of having to suffer the extreme case of gagging reflex since I was a kid which makes the visit to the dentist a nightmare, both for the dentist and myself. Dr. Ali worked through it and remained very patient and caring, although there were moments when I wanted to punch myself for him.

Dr Ali has very kind staff and does great reasonable priced work, you don’t get the shady dentist vibe hear just 5 star treatment and that’s why they get 5 stars

Honestly, the BEST dentist in the city. I would give him a 10-​star rating if I could. I cannot describe how thankful I am to him, his staff and the great professional work he’s done on improving my smile.
I’ve gone to Dr. Ali for about 4.5 years, and I’ve been extremely happy and satisfied with every visit. First off, it’s very easy to schedule an appointment with them as they’re very accomodating of their clients’ busy schedules. Second, Cherry the receptionist is always on top of her game with the appointment reminders and the flexibility with cancellation and rescheduling. Third, the waiting time is almost non-​existant as they respect the appointment time always.
The hygenists do a great and thorough job with the cleanup, ensuring that you leave with a bright, clean and fresh smile. They’re very gentle and are always giving tips on how to improve your hygiene. I used to go there every 6 months.
Lastly, the great and wonderful Dr. Ali himself. I’ve been to many dentists in my life, and he is hands-​down THE BEST one out there. I’m not exageratting. I recently moved to Dubai from San Francisco and wished I could bring him along with me! Because of him, my teeth are cleaner and whiter, and he’s always accomodating of ANY requests I’ve ever had. He always suggested the less painful methods, and his dental advice was very professional and efficient. My friends and family instantly noticed his great work, and showered me with compliments about my wonderful smile, mashallah. He’s very accomodating, very friendly, extremely professional, and very respectful. He’s very knowledagable and understands your needs, is a great listener and most importantly — his work his flawless!

Did not enjoy my visit with this dentist. The hygenist was awesome, but he told me that I would need to have my 2 year old bridges replaced because they were not done right. I told my old dentist this who is retired and a friend and he said drop him.
He was not very friendly either. I found him just not pleasant.

Amazing facility and even better people! Make you feel at home right when you walk in the door. Dr. Ali does great work and i would recommend this dentist to any and everyone!

I’ve used Eva their lovely hygienist for my dental cleaning and she’s really thorough and just a joy to work with.
I spoke recently with Nancy about the very comprehensive and holistic periodontal treatment plan Dr. Ali’s office puts together for patients. Nancy is patient, grounded and personable. I am looking forward to, hopefully, being able to do this for myself as I can see how many future issues can potentially be avoided with this great and relatively new approach to dental periodontal health.
I definitely recommend Dr. Ali and his attentive staff for your general dentistry and dental implant needs.

Dr. Mohamed has been my dentist for 7 years now. He is probably the nicest person I have ever met. I have fixed about 8 teeth at his office and never felt pain. It always seemed easy. His assistans and staff are very courteous and kind. I also clean my teeth twice a year.
They also offer you the option to receive call/​text messages or email as an appointment reminder.
I highly recommend Dr. Ali’s office.

This guy saved me. I had two temporary fillings come out while eating tortellini. I panicked because those fillings are deep and my teeth were immediately sensitive to air. Last time I broke a filling I lost my back tooth :(so I was naturally paranoid. I called my regular dentist and she said she wouldn’t be open til Wednesday because of the Xmas holidays (this happened on a Saturday). She told me to go to Walgreens and fill the fillings myself with dental wax. I wasn’t really into this idea due to the sensitivity of my teeth.
I was so distraught my BFF got on the Internet and started calling emergency dentists. Dr Ali was the only dentist that called me back and hade meet him at his office at 10:00 pm on a Saturday. I couldn’t have been more grateful.

Dr. Ali is amazing. He is very warm and welcoming, and his office is very nice. Top quality work!

They lure you in with a groupon deal, but they aren’t interested in keeping your business. They ask for $ 50 to email me my own x-​rays. Unheard of and unconscionable. Also, Mr. Ali came across as uncaring and rushed. I wish I hadn’t wasted my time here. I hope you don’t waste your time here either.

2.5 hours for a cleaning and then, adding insult to injury, $ 50 to forward your medical records? Is that even legal? The work was fine and the Dr. very pleasant, but again, see above. .. .

I went on a groupon too, because I had no dental insurance.
The hygienist was great– likeable, professional, thorough. I don’t remember her name (I mentioned it in my first review, I’m sure, but it was six months ago).
Dr Ali came in and told me I needed further work and it was going to be upwards of three grand to do the work but he’d give me a discount. But he doesn’t take payments, even automatically to a credit card– it’s all or nothing. They have that ‘care credit’ card you can apply for, which I did, but was denied.
Anyhow. Dr Ali’s bedside manner is indeed quite gruff, and scary. I wasn’t sure what to do. I waited.
Because of my inability to pay at once, and since he refused to do the work or work with me on payments, even though I needed to have work done, I crossed my fingers.
I ended up with an emergency root canal four months later, with a different dentist/​endodontist as my care provider– He takes payments, doesn’t treat people with no insurance like peasants, and is kind, gentle and understanding– explaining all along what will happen and needs to be done. Dr Rezai has won my business forever. Dr Ali– will never see me darken his doorway again.

Went for x-​rays and a cleaning. Staff SUPER friendly, and Dr. Ali was as well, greeting me as I came in with a hand shake. Consult re further work to be done was clearly explained, and I didn’t feel pressured into services, which is usually what I hate about going to the dentist. Clean office, modern tech including real-​time digital scans, which for someone who hadn’t been to the dentist in 4 years was pretty impressive. Overall a great experience.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Ali and his wonderful team. Everyone is friendly, professional, and excellent at what they do.
Dr. Ali isn’t a salesman. Other dentists I tried before finding Dr. Ali tried to sell me into a dental procedure. Dr. Ali just gives you the facts and lets you make the decision.
Safe to say that Dr. Ali will be my dentist for as long as I live in the Bay Area.

Dr. Ali really came through for me. Dare I say it, but he saved my life. The day before 4^th of July weekend I was laid up with the most terrible, agonizing tooth pain that I have ever felt. It was intense and getting worse — after hearing about certain horror stories about dental pain going terribly wrong — I decided to seek emergency care.
I called Dr. Ali’s office (which was normally closed on saturdays) and explained my symptoms to the receptionist. She then patched me directly to the Dr. and after a short consultation — he told me that he would meet me at this office in a few hours.
Long story short — I had to have an emergency root canal, due to a nasty infection — he went to work right away, all by himself mind you, no dental hygienist helping him at all. And he does in fact have some pretty sophisticated tools — I actually watched my entire procedure on the video screen on the ceiling. It was pretty crazy.
He is a badass, communicates very well and is very good at putting you at ease because he sympathizes with your discomfort. The staff is also very cool and nice. He even gave me a personal follow up phone call to see how I was holding up. Wow. Highly highly recommended.

Dr. Ali is an honest man who tells it like it is. He has the most up to date, state-​of-​the-​art facility in San Francisco. He really cares about my dental health and not just a quick buck. I and my friends who got the Zoom at his office did not have the same experience as those who complained here.
I recommend this dentist to anyone in the city!
