I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapists with private practice offices in both San Francisco and San Mateo. I have over 10 years experience working with families in need in the San Francisco Bay Area. I help children, adolescents and adults cope with family conflict, divorce, depression and anxiety, trauma, behavior issues, grief and loss, and life transitions.
One of my specialties is helping clients navigate through the transition of family separation. I help family members cope with the effects of divorce and separation by providing individual child and adult therapy, family therapy, and co-parent counseling.
History
Established in 2005.
Before opening a private practice in 2005, I worked in a wide variety of settings, including residential group homes, public schools, community counseling centers, and non-profit agencies. I have worked throughout the Bay Area in many capacities: School counselor, marriage and family therapist, parent educator, group facilitator, counseling program manager, and director of counseling and visitation programs.
I have had many years of experience working with children and families of divorce, as well as domestic violence and other family conflict. I have developed curriculum for parenting groups, conducted parenting seminars, and taught adult education courses on a variety of parenting topics. I have also facilitated children’s groups on topics such as divorce, trauma, self-esteem, and social skills.
