My practice was designed to help you live the life you are entitled to. Too often through hardships we settle for less. We come to believe that this is as good as it gets. In my work I have found that these same struggles can be a doorway to fulfilling changes.
How does change happen in therapy? In my work with clients we identify many of the stories you have been telling yourself. Some may be limiting, some supportive and others may have a range of meaning and information. We address patterns of thought, behaviors, addictions, loss, relationships and together, craft new ways of seeing yourself and being in the world.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative and thoughtful. Some of my areas of focus include Depression, Anxiety, Drug and Alcohol Use, Relationship Concerns, Gay, Lesbian, Bi Sexual & Queer Issues, Career & Academic Concerns, Grief and Bereavement
History
Established in 2008.
My development in psychotherapy began with undergraduate studies and years of intensive inpatient work with adolescents. I was trained at St. Mary’s Mcauley Institute and Oakes Childrens Center under some of the most creative and brightest minds. My individual psychotherapy skills were then honed in private practice training at Kaiser Psychiatry in San Francisco. In addition to my private practice I worked as a chemical dependency therapist at Ohlhoff Recovery’s primary residential program and Bayside Marin’s Inpatient and Outpatient Chemical Dependency Programs.
