The rental went well-​he answered my questions and made the process very streamlined. He answered the phone when I had a question about the projector as I was using it. I recommend if you’re looking for a straight-​forward rental.

Best deal I could find. The pick up and drop off experience is a little unusual (looks like an apartment garage), but proved to be surprisingly convenient. The equipment worked fine. The LCD projector was first rate and high quality.

Super friendly, and super fast. Though they claim to specialize in «last minute rentals», they are essentially the cheapest place you can rent a projector and screen. Stan replies to reservations within the hour, and the whole process is smooth from pickup to dropoff. He includes the cables you need, and I will be back if I need to use one for an event once more!

We needed a good, bright projector for a presentation at a birthday party, and this was perfect. Stan is very communicative, helpful, and knowledgeable. This is a small operation, so don’t expect office staff, but the price, service, and quality is top notch. I don’t use projectors very often, but now I know where to go when I need one!

Very convenient: an email and an address to pickup at your own leisure. The projector worked perfectly. Stan also texted me to checked to make sure I was able to pick up the projector and sent me a friendly reminder when I forgot to return it :-P. I will definitely use this service again.

Rented a projection screen from Stan as I already had a projector. Details were handled within minutes over text message, and I picked up that same evening at 9:30pm from his place in the Mission. Return was just as straightforward. Simple cash transaction, no paperwork to fill out, just a friendly face and a reasonably-​priced product!

If you need to rent a projector, Rent it from Stan! Great experience all round. Not only was he very friendly, he has the best price around, helps you understand set up, and is super flexible with picking up and dropping off the equipment. I needed the projector for a video I had made to play from my Dell Laptop at my sister’s wedding, and it worked perfectly. I didn’t want to spend tons and tons of money, so $ 180 for 2 days was perfect. There is lots of free street parking for pick up and drop off also. All of the other companies, I would have needed to get the projector back on Monday, as most aren’t open on Sundays, meaning either more fees, or worse, having to take time off of work. Not the case with Stan. I will caution people, the projector and screen are quite large. The screen folded up is about 6 Feet and just fit in my Prius C with one of the chairs folded down, and the actual projector is about 35lbs ish. All being said, it was great quality and really made for a lovely end to the wedding. Will use again!

Lucid is awesome! We were in a tight bind to get a projector and screen for a last minute presentation. Stan at Lucid had everything we needed including the correct cables for both a PC and a Mac. The equipment was great and worked perfectly and our event was a great success. Yaaaayy!

These guys are awesome! The projector is top of the line~~ all I had to do was close the blinds and even with the lights on the picture quality was amazing. Crisp and huge on the wall. They took the time to show me how to use it, and flexible pick up drop off times make it easy to rent. Hands down the best for quality and price!

If you know anything about the local audio-​visual rental business, you know that it’s typically overpriced and unhelpful. I used to work in this very field, renting equipment to corporate suits who cheerfully paid 20% of the full purchase price of a projector simply to RENT it for one day!
These days I’m a starving filmmaker, and I wanted decent equipment at a decent price. Stan at Lucid not only gave me a better deal than I could find anywhere else (and I looked around carefully) on a high-​quality projector, but he also included the screen in the rental price! I was able to get a bright, high-​resolution projector for a small fraction of what it would cost me elsewhere. And yes, there is a huge difference in projector quality; most places rent cheap, low-​powered, low-​resolution devices on which I wouldn’t want to even show my grandmother’s PowerPoint presentations.
Also, Stan was very flexible about pick-​up and return, and worked with my availability. From beginning to end working with Lucid was a positive experience, and made my screening event a fantastic one. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from Lucid again.
There simply is no better deal in the SF Bay Area. Thank you!

We actually didn’t end up renting from them, but I put down a deposit for a rental. Very fast response, the lowest prices, and super flexible rental times. I have to reemphasize: it’s the lowest price you can get. I’ve looked.

Here’s why:
–badass projector: 4500 Lumins, could have projected across the street. It really was top quality.
–cool people: super friendly from beginning to end.
–prices: significantly less expensive than the four other places I called.
I was putting on an event for some industry pros and creatives and the projector was perfect, and made me look great.

Excellent experience. Stan is very accommodating and a genuinely nice guy. I rented a projector and a screen from him and he set me up with all the cables I needed and made sure it all worked properly.
