Learn iT!

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. After many referrals, I decided to go to Learn It for InDesign training. The registration was simple, the program fee was reasonable and I, as a technology illiterate person, was able to learn beginner through to intermediate in only three short days. The instructor was knowledgeable and personable, and the class size was small enough (8) that I was able to get help with some of the work projects that weren’t even a part of the syllabus. If you are needing help with any sort of hard or soft skill — Learn iT! is the place to go!

I love this place! Over the last couple of months I’ve been to multiple classes and it absolutely increased my knowledge, which I was surprised about, since I thought I already knew plenty. I really thought I has mastered the programs I use frequently, but I learned so much here, that my work goes so much faster and all those annoying little issues I used to run into… I know hot to solve them now. Love this place! Especially since they seem to design the classes around helping students learn even complicated stuff. So far I haven’t had a drab teacher, or a completely confusing class. Some classes have been challenging but the instructors have been so helpful that I went from feeling overwhelmed about the complexity of the program, to feeling like I can absolutely handle it. Now I’m the one that everyone is asking advice from, I’m the one who knows how to do everything with multiple programs we use all the time. So glad I decided to check Learnit out. I love that I’m quicker at work, but I’m also just proud of myself! I used to feel like my resume was honest, but a little fluffed up. Now I’ve added extra programs on there and I make sure to notate that I have «advanced» knowledge in them. Yay!

In the past year I’ve taken several classes at Learn iT!, most recently «How to Identify and Build High Potential Performers» with the absolutely wonderful Jennifer Albrecht. The caliber of the instructors, I’ve interacted with in my experiences with this company has been nothing short of incredible time after time.
I’d be remiss not to mention my favorite part, the mid-​day cookies! As somebody who has conducted many long meetings in the past, I’ve learned just as much about how to structure full-​day sessions in my own work as I have from the content of the classes! The cookies are a great chance to catch a breath and refresh!

I stumbled upon LearniT! via word of mouth as I was seeking opportunities to expand my MS Office knowledge. After some research I quickly realized how valued LearniT! is as an Organization all through the Greater Bay Area and Domestically. Big Businesses like the Federal Bank of Reserve, The Gap and many more have adopted LearniT! as their go-​to Training Company. I personally had the pleasure of sitting in on an Excel Course with a gentleman whose name is still remember! His learning style was stellar. He was humorous, and knowledgeable which made him extraordinarily credible, boosting that «WOW» factor. LearniT! stands out because their Instructors never lean on a script, and rarely reference a book. They are all-​natural if you will. Since my Excel experience, I have taken a multitude of MS Office Courses. Some might consider ME the Office guru… THANK YOU LearniT!, I couldn’t have done it without you.

I’ve been to Learn iT! many times for my professional development needs and won’t go anywhere else! Their customer service is wonderful and helpful, and I’ve learned so much from the instructors. I’m hoping to take some Excel classes soon and know I will love them just as much. Learn iT! is THE PLACE to go for computer training in San Francisco.

After several hours of YouTube videos and googling «how to» tutorials I finally decided to dedicate some time into researching Educational Services to up my game in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat X. Prior to LearnIt! I would either spend hours trying to navigate through these two programs or just contract out the work to a virtual assistant. The challenge was — the work would never materialize the exact way I wanted due to either my limited skills or some sort of misunderstanding with the contractor. So I finally decided to suck it up — and learn the programs myself!
I stumbled upon LearnIt!‘s CEO Damon Lembi’s email address and decided to shoot him an inquiry and almost immediately — he responded. Damon connected me with Ben Bomberry at the front desk who got me set up right away. Ben was extremely helpful! Ben addressed all my questions and provided clear instructions and expectations for the course.
My first course at LearnIt! was Adobe Illustrator with teacher Carlos Courtade. Carlos was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about art and applying it into AI. The course was very casual and informative. Carlos was very respectful of class time and maintained a tight schedule and agenda. I considered myself a beginner with very limited skills on AI. By the end of Day 1 we were building wire frames — WOW! Day 2 we were mocking up characters — unbelievable! Day 3 we created logos and by the end of Day 4 we were navigating through AI like experts! As if the course wasn’t enough — LearnIt! provided a help option at the end of the course in the event that you need future help with that program.
The second course at LearnIt! was Adobe Acrobat X. Aside from the «Reader» version and the few tools on the right side of the pane — Acrobat X seemed like a limited program UNTIL taking this course! At first, I was skeptical about how such a small program would need 2 full days of training. Then Day 1 completed and I couldn’t wait to get back to my PC to start applying the new tricks I learned. A task that I use to use multiple programs for could be completed on Acrobat X which I had no idea about — right on LearnIt! I will be taking Module 3 – 4 later this month.
There are several other programs that I plan to take at LearnIt! The teachers are great, the learning environment is comfortable, coffee/​tea is provided and although I don’t care for cookies — a fresh baked batch is provided for your afternoon break. I would highly recommend LearnIt! to anyone who is looking for an educational service to up their game! During the 5-​Days that I have spent training — I have seen a very diverse group; from young to old, various cultures, freelancers, business entrepreneurs, those looking for a career change or a few who just want to learn a new program. LearnIt! gets it done!

I signed up for an Excel class at LearniT! I had taken an excel class a while ago in college, but wanted to refresh my memory. I ended up getting a lot out of this class. The instructor was really knowledgable and covered a good amount of material. His examples and explanations were clear and easy to understand. We went over functions, pivot tables, graphs, etc. I’m looking forward to applying the keyboard shortcuts, and helpful tips I learned too. Definitely would recommend taking a class here!

I’ve taken many classes at LearniT, from professional development classes to software classes. The instructors are incredible and the curriculum is not only very well designed, but also taught in a way that is easy to understand and implement in your own company. I’ve also sent many of my employees to the professional development classes, and they skills they have learned are invaluable to our company. I highly recommend taking classes at LearniT!

LearniT! Is a great training company. I took an Excel class here and the professor was extremely informative and helpful. He began by asking for input on specifics of what we needed to learn so that he could make sure to fit it on the agenda. It was so generous of him to make sure we could get the most out of our class time. Also, the location is great with views of the city and all employees are very kind. I’ll definitely sign up for more classes at LearniT!

Learn it is great. Have taken software and professional development classes and my experiences have been equally as great in their own respect. Also sent my team here to brush up on their excel skills with immediate results.

LearniT! provides a drab environment to bolster your professional information technology skills. Some instructors are better than others but you will likely have a good learning experience because of their decent lesson plans… that is, if you can get a class.
LearniT!‘s scheduling and communication practices are poor. Twice I have had classes cancelled and twice I have had to call-​in days /​hours before to find out that information. Both scheduled classes had been cancelled weeks before and both times someone was supposed to have called me to let me know… and they did not. Getting a call-​back about future course information is also a fun game to play… there move is silence, your move is that you will call them back.
As any professional will agree, it’s nice to schedule training on a calendar. This way we can plan out what we need to cancel in order to invest in our own human capital. Well, it is too bad that good course design does NOT equal good business design because if it did LearniT! would be thriving.
You guys, come on get it together and start being more detail-​oriented. You know more than most that one incorrect line of code can crash an entire system.

I took a online course to learn how to use Word and Excel this summer. The online video clips are so clear and easy to understand. Now I am a master of Word and Excel!

Took the «Time Management» class after I realized work was taking over my life. I felt that emails were priorities and I was always connected to work after hours and on weekends. It’s been 3 weeks now that I have taken the class and I learned useful tools to prioritize both work and life
Great classes and I can’t wait for my next class!

I took a time management course that gave extremely practical advice. I learned how to tune out distractions in a world of constant text and email communication, and to focus on business critical initiatives.

This is a great training facility. There was free coffee and water! And the restrooms were close. There was also cool views of the city from the training room.

I took an Excel class and also a Time Management class at this location in San Francisco. Both were excellent… instructors were very informative, knowledgeable and easy to follow and ask questions.

I was very impressed at the instructor’s style. Glenn Romano was the instructor of Excel Module 3 and 4. He was easy to follow and understand. If there were questions, he was eager to help. I would definitely come again, and refer Learn It to my colleagues.

LearnIT is awesome!
I’m a total technophobe. I’ve always had a hate-​hate relationship with computers. They are sometimes a necessary evil, but I’ve gotten by with just barely being able to do what I *have* to do on them (except the internet, of course). I recently found that it would probably behoove me to have some basic skills in Excel, Word & Powerpoint because I’m tired of people looking at me like a freak when I tell them I don’t know how to use any of them. At all. …& also, I’m looking for a «real» J. O. B. (I’ve been a self-​employed landscape designer for 20 years– got by without it)
So far, I’ve taken the first two modules of Excel– 8 hours total, all in the same day. Cara, the instructor, was fantastic!

— I wasn’t the lamest person in the class
— I LIKED it and
— At the end of the day, I wished I had signed up for the second day
— Most importantly, I LearnedIt!
Cara kept her energy, pace, voice projection and patience even and up throughout the whole 8 hour day– even though she was feeling a bit under the weather. She explained how she loved Excel and I think that really helped make her an engaging instructor.
Registering for the classes (I plan on taking two modules of PPT and Word, as well) was unbelievably easy and the location (just outside Montgomery St. BART) is very convenient. During our lunch break I went down and found good food nearby and then went for a walk so I wouldn’t go into a food coma the second half of the day. :)
All in all, it couldn’t have gone better. Not only did it not scare this (former?) technophobe off, I can’t wait to learn more!

I’m a facilitator teaching an IT related class. The wireless internet works great, the projector is easy to use, every PC has dual monitors.
Breakfast was served in our room with pastries and orange juice. Coffee is located in the main room. The building has security and you must sign in at the lobby and on the 3^rd floor.
Minus the one star for no ease of printing for instructors.
