Kawaii Corner

A small adorable little shop in a street corner; so small that I missed it and had to double back. It’s run by a nice lady who had her dog with her.
The shop has a variety of cuteness from Sanrio to San-​X and even some old school goodies like Digimon pins! It’s a fantastic store to stop by for stationery and/​or gifts!

Everything you need to add cuteness to your life. The kids love all the fun stickers, erasers, stuffed toys and so do adults!
Take a look inside; it’s hard to walk out without something super-​cute!

This store is great if you want to buy squishies or other Sanrio related items. Some squishies that this store carries is breadou (torto, macarons, and the long breadrolls), Ibloom (mini peach), hello kitty (donuts), Rilakkuma (cream puffs, jumbo toast, donut), Lucio the Patessier (ice cream cup), panda buns, and more. I know all this because of previous visits that I watched (vlogs and Instagram).
However, when I went there today, the majority of their stocks were gone. There were no hello kitty donuts (my main goal), no Breadou macarons, no Ibloom mini peaches, no Lucio the Patessier squishies, the Rilakkuma cream puff squishies were all gone — you can imagine. Even the stationaries cubicles were empty! With the racks mostly empty, I was really disappointed. What type of selection was that? Also, the store is tiny. It is the size of a bathroom — maybe the size of a master bedroom bathroom?
Just to say some prices: Rilakkuma donut squishy — $ 7, Lucio the Patissier ice cream cup — $ 8, Breadou Torto squishy — $ 10 These prices were okay, but all the things I wanted were gone. There was NOT A SINGLE hello kitty donut squishy.
This store basically looked like a store being liquidated. I expected better.

My niece is fascinated with re-​ment box toys (she somehow found them on youtube) and this is the only place that I could find a few days before Christmas without having to order them online. Sure, they are a few bucks more than online but why not support a local business? The place is VERY small but they had what I was looking for so that was no issue to me.
The woman working there was very informative about the questions I had — she assured me my niece would not get any duplicate toys as I was buying a few «blind boxes» and she was right. The niece was happy on Christmas. But I am sure the entire set is missing by now as she is only 5 years old LOL

This store is really cute! They have a lot of kawaii things crammed into the store. I came here on Saturday mainly for the squishes and ended up buying one I really enjoyed for a good price. However I was disappointed with a few things. First off let me say I wanted to be completely in LOVE with this store. I took Bart and Über just to come to this exact place. I was not that pleased though to find out how small it was, also the staff was not that friendly either. I follow the store on Instagram and they seem so interactive with their customers because I often see them post pictures of their customers with a friendly «thanks for stopping by!» But when I actually go inside, I was not greeted by either of the two workers (a girl and a guy). I felt them eyeing me as I was looking through their merchandise but not one hello or even if I needed any help. I don’t think I even saw either of them smile. Other than that, this place is adorable and has many items to choose from if you’re a total weeb like me.

I’ve seen this place several times while grabbing food nearby, but never walked in. When I was getting dinner last Monday, December 7^th, I decided to finally check out Kawaii Corner.
I’ve been meaning to get a new keychain. A Sanrio keychain to be exact. When I saw they had Hello Kitty stuff, I figured there was no harm in walking in and checking it out. Glad I did as I found a Hello Kitty San Francisco Giants Keychain ($ 12)! Yay!
Very cute place to find Sanrio products. Especially since a lot of the stores are gone now.

This place is really fun and cute. The prices are cheap (which is good) the service their is really really good and I would go back any day

By far one of my favorite kawaii stores. Their squishies are pretty reasonable priced except for some which cost around $ 20 – 25. It’s a cute little store, and has a large variety of items. They sell popin cookin, notepads, plushes, and other collectible items. Customer service, is pretty good. So far, I have been there twice, and definitely recommend this place if you are looking for cute items!

I don’t come here that often but if I’m in the neighborhood, I do drop by. This is pretty much the only physical Sanrio store in the Bay Area. The other one is in Hillsdale. They carry authentic Sanrio Japan items. I got a set of post its with every Sanrio character in existence. I also found packs of Pokemon cards for $ 1.50. Those are authentic too according to my kids.
This is simply a great place to get your Sanrio fix without paying for shipping!

Such a cute store! It’s super tiny but I mean I grew up with all the asian cute stores being super tiny so I didn’t mind! I definitely felt like a kid again and was super tempted to grab a surprise bag for $ 20! The owner is the nicest and definitely loves all the cute in her store. She was so happy about the hello kitty giants gear she scored for the store and showed me everything. The Hello kitty giants pillow almost won me over lol. Then she pulled out the sf giants/​hello kitty hat. I was like OMG i have to have this! LOL It’s the cap I think they sell at the ballpark — it’s a black baseball cap with hello kitty ears on it. SUPER CUTE :) I love the hat and enjoyed my shopping experience because I loved how the owner was so nice and into all her stuff. She even gave my friend and I those cute little toys that they used to append to the sanrio bags.
I’ll be sure to come back and look for more cute things soon!

I am 40 years old and I remember the memories of being little and visiting the Saniro store in Japan. No matter how big the items you got. You always left with a little treasure and a special trinket. Well those days are over, going to Sanrio everything is over price and not so friendly people.
But Kawaii Corner put those lovely memories back in my heart. Nancy the owner made the experience as if I was nine years old, with not a lot of money allowing me to look at all her toys and treasures and I got some unique and treasures I wouldn’t be able to get locally here.
I left with goodies, the Sanrio signature of a small calendar, coloring book and a small trinket that made my whole day. I am sure I would loose it in my purse but leaving that store made me feel happy as a lark as if I was that little kid again!!!

I love kawaii corner! It’s always a favorite stop on weekends or after work. You never know what cute thing they’ll next! They just started carrying the PoteUSA Loppy bunnies by Amuse and they’re adorable! The owner is also super nice! I love coming here.

So disappointing! Store is so small!!! If 10 customer are inside it would be too crowded already! I don’t know why the reviews here on Unilocal is so high… Probably it’s the owner who made those review :/

We were on a squishy mission and this place was our destination. One of the squishes smelled pretty strong. I’m reading here that they aren’t authentic squishes but my daughter doesn’t seem to know that and she was very happy with the selection. I also picked up a sandwich maker that puts Mickey Mouse on the grilled cheese, like Jesus only more commercial.

Hello Kitty heaven, it is got many many Hello Kitty stuff. It is got all authentic, real, and all beautiful Hello Kitty stuff, I like the Chinese red envelopes, they are particularly awesome on the holidays. By far, this store is the best! I would recommend this store to anyone, and just quick stop on the Gear~ got famous ice cream on the left and other cool shops all around.

GASHAPON | Gachapon REPORT
For those of you that don’t know Gashapon | Gatcha Machines are little toy dispensers that cost about $ 1.
This place has a few machines outside and a few more in the interior of the small shop. Though their section is Sanrio (Note: I didn’t say Hello Kitty but there was probably some there if memory serves me right) and Mario.
As for the other items in stock, it follows the namesake and it is indeed kawaii. For a little store it is able to pack a good variation of items.

This tiny store is full of cute merchandise including a huge selection of squishies, poppin cookin’s, rements, foody erasers, japanese stationary, etc. all sorts of adorable sh*t!
It was cute seeing so many little girls bonding over all the exciting stuff that was in the store, exchanging Instagram, taking pictures — the owner was very sweet and super helpful.
We have gone to a few stores in Japantown that offer some of the same stuff, but the service and selection here tops them all. We will definitely come back!

Definitely plan on stopping by if you’re a Hello Kitty fan, or are shopping for someone who is.
While this store is small, it has a lot of cute things in it and isn’t really much smaller than the Sanrio stores in the mall. I got some pens I haven’t seen anywhere else (Domokun!) and some other stationary items as well as the little fruit flavored gum I loved as a kid.
Prices were fair and I found some really cute things to use in my daughter’s Easter basket.
