Wow! What a fantastic wedding yesterday at the Verdi Club in SF. Julio was a calm cool and collected photographer even with all our rambunctious family running around. He and his assistant Tim were a delight to work with and we can’t wait to see the final product. Julio is a true professional and we are so happy that he was available to work with us on our special day! Also, this was a daytime wedding which meant that we started pictures at 8am and he was on time ready to rock n roll. :D

I am so glad that Julio was our photographer for our wedding day in Jan 2012. He and his assistant did an amazing job despite how crappy the weather was that day. Julio was able to work with the elements and turn a very chilly day into a day that one can warmly remember. I love how candid his shots were. You can see genuine expressions of joy and laugh lines in every guests face. I love looking back at the pictures in which I said «I do» to my husband because in every photo, there was always something amazing and pure stored in it. Not all photographers are able to catch the right moments. You know those moments where you take a glance at your photos and instantly, the memories and emotions floods back into existence? Julio was able to do that for us. In addition, he was very professional and easy to work with. I really can’t wait to renew my vows just so we can have him be our photographer again. Julio was referred to us by a friend, who couldn’t say more about how great he was. Well, the proof is in the pudding and Julio came through with some of the most spectacular photos from our wedding. He is absolutely wonderful to work with and was flexible with the changes our wedding had… rain. I would recommend him to anyone getting married or for someone who just wants to have great pix taken of them. He gets a thumbs up from me!

A friend referred me to Julio to take the author photos for my upcoming book and he produced the best photos of me that I’ve ever seen. I simply can’t say enough good things about him. With a winning personality and soothing demeanor, Julio put me at ease and used creative prompts to change my expression and help me relate to the camera in a way that I’ve been unable to before. This guy is like some kind of Jedi master or something, drawing out a side of me and a look that I didn’t know existed. And then, on the back end, Julio demonstrated a great eye and insightful artistic sensibility. He helped me choose images that I might not have and retouched them in a way that made me look better than I think I really do. And all for a price that was super cheap for what I got. Anyway, I recommend him highly.

Julio was our wedding photographer and it was an absolute pleasure working with him. .. and the photographs were beautiful. It didn’t take me very long after meeting Julio and seeing his work that I knew I wanted to have him as our wedding phtographer. He is low-​key, professional, and his photographs truly capture the feelings, emotions of our wedding. We also had a lot of kids in/​at our wedding and he was so terrific with the kids the entire time. He just has a great vibe so it makes working with him very easy.

My wife and I heard about Julio from close friends who were getting married. When we saw their wedding photos we were so impressed that we didn’t even consider anyone else. His work is fabulous. He captures the priceless and spontaneous moments of a wedding without you even noticing him. The end results are fantastic. On top of it all he is professional, down to earth and flexible. Would highly recommend him.

I used Julio for my wedding in 2007 and thought he was great. He was incredibly flexible and when we decided to change our venue mid-​planning from Sonoma to Hawaii he was happy to join us in Hawaii without a huge increase in price. The pictures were beautiful and he was punctual and helpful in gathering the family for photos.

We couldn’t have been happier with Julio as our wedding photographer. Not only were the photographs wonderful, he was fabulous to work with. He made sure he got all the important shots, without being overly obtrusive or bossy. I was a little nervous about that aspect of the wedding (I’m a bit camera shy), but Julio really put everybody at ease, and made the picture taking actually fun. I would recommend Julio to anyone.

I just had to write a rave review about Julio Duffoo photography. Not only have I had the pleasure of working with him (I’m a make up artist and work with lots of brides) but he also happened to photograph a friend of mine’s wedding. Julio is charming, knows how to handle a crowd (which is important in a wedding photographer) and takes AMAZING photographs! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. He’s sweet and talented. You can’t ask for anything more!

Julio Duffo is a sensitive photographer whose skill and art are only surpassed by his professionalism. Julio brought out so many subtleties to our wedding photos! His sense of nuance and dynamism left us with a wedding series that we literally cherish. Reasonable rates, tons of good energy, on time and sharp. A great guy who we hope to hire again and again.

Julio is amazing — I can’t say enough good things about him. His work speaks for itself. We got married in May in a small-​ish multiracial wedding in wine country and Julio captured every little intricate detail just so absolutely wonderfully. I never imagined I’d be one of these people who can’t stop looking at their wedding pictures, but I am (thanks to Julio).
Not sure what all the other reviews are talking about because Julio was reliable, on time, professional, patient and wonderful. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

«Sorry, but I lost your images.» The six words every bride dreads about hearing. Unfortunately, I was told those dreaded words by our wedding photographer Julio Duffoo.
I’m sure the first questions that come to peoples minds when I tell them our photographer lost our wedding pictures is «How could that happen?» or «Doesn’t he have the images saved on a backup?» These are the first couple of questions that came into our minds as well. Isn’t backing up your files immediately something that every professional photographer should know and do? Well, apparently not Julio. The story that we were given was that he transferred the file images to his computer and «thought» he had an automatic back-​up system in place. Then his computer crash and this «back-​up» system also failed so basically we were stuck with a fraction of the images we had agreed to in our contract, all of which were taken by his assistant, so you can image that we are looking in the wrong direction in most of the shots.
While losing pictures from one of the most memorable and special days in our lives was bad enough, having to deal with Julio afterwards made everything worse and is the reason I am posting this review on Unilocal.After returning from our month-​long honeymoon, I contacted Julio to say we were back in town and he told me he was working on our pictures and would put them on his website shortly. It wasn’t until about 2 – 3 weeks later when he finally told me that he lost our images. He was very apologetic from the beginning and accepted full responsibility, but he did not readily offer an entire refund and even suggested having to charge us for the digital images to «recover some of his losses». I was appalled that he would think he deserved any kind of a payment. However, after further conversation he agreed to give us a full refund and the digital images. I waited for another week or so for the refund check. When it finally arrives, I receive a call from Julio asking if I could please not cash the check for a few days until he has money in the account to cover it! Again, this was something that I felt was completely unprofessional.
Julio is a very talented photographer, which is the reason why we chose him to capture our special day. While I know that he did not intentionally lose our images and am sure that he learned a valuable lesson from all of this, I feel that I have a responsibility to share my experience with other potential clients. If you chose to have Julio as your photographer, please make sure that he backs up his files immediately, even if it means bringing a memory stick with him to the event.
