Jon Casey Caricatures

We hired Jon for 5 hours for our wedding of 165 guests at the Golden Gate Club instead of a photo booth and it was a HIT! All the guests thought it was so fun and different and really enjoyed watching Jon draw other people as well as themselves. He was super easy to work with and very responsive. The only downfall which was to no fault of his own was that there was a REALLY long line and only 42 people got their caricatures because it took at least 7 mins/​person. Sort of wish there was another person along side of him so that more people could partake in the fun. I would highly recommend hiring him for your next event/​wedding, if it was a smaller guest count, he would be able to do more people!

My Sister in Law used Jon for her wedding! It was so creative and Jon was amazing! My son who is 9 months and was the ring bearer was sound asleep and unfortunately couldn’t have his caricature done that night. I emailed Jon a couple days after the wedding and he was so sweet to use a picture we had taken of Cameron that night with the bear he carried down the aisle and do a drawing for us! His work is great and his turn around time is impressive! I would 100% book Jon for a party in the future!

I hired Jon for our company event to help drive foot traffic to our booth and he was outstanding! There were other digital artists in other booths but the queue for Jon kept growing and didn’t stop. He really has a way of capturing a person’s spirit in his caricatures. My kids loved the drawings he did of them and of me. They are brutally honest and not easily won over so that’s quite an endorsement. On a professional note, Jon’s follow-​up is immediate via email/​phone, etc and he is so thorough, organized and collaborative. He is also one of the most pleasant people you’ll ever meet. It was a pleasure to do business with him and I look forward to having him at future events.

My company held a retreat and we booked Jon to draw our staff. Our staff enjoyed not only having their picture drawn, but getting to watch other employee’s caricature being done. Jon was incredibly professional and friendly. He was patient when groups of staff would gather around to watch the process.
I would highly recommend Jon to anyone who is looking for a way to make their event fun and memorable.

We hired him to do drawings of our guests at our wedding, in lieu of your typical wedding favor. It was a huge hit!
People lined up in droves to have their caricature drawn. To our surprise, may people went with their partner, rather than solo. It made for some super cute and sweet couples drawings. He took special requests by guests as well (one couple was drawn with the guy on a riding lawn mower, LOL).
Jon drew my husband and I all dressed up, and it came out better than I’d ever expect! We can’t wait to get it framed.
Jon was booked for 3 hours. He arrived on time, with plenty of supply (including plastic sleeves!) and got right to work. Since more people were in line after the 3 hours were up, he agreed to stay on overtime for a very reasonable rate. He was super accommodating, funny, kind, and very good at capturing the essence of the person he was drawing.
Highly recommended!

My company has booked Jon Casey for holiday parties for the past few years– So when my wife and I were planning our wedding, we inquired if Jon would offer his services at the wedding.
Needless to say, he was a hit! We had to request him to say an extra hour (which he didn’t hesitate to do) just to work his way through everyone. He was a real trooper about it too. He worked about 5 hours with only 1 bathroom break– sorry Jon! If you’re planning a party, I would highly recommend Jon and any of the artist that he works with (you can book multiple artist for a larger party). Very professional, great communicator via emails, great attitude, and the option to have classic portraits done with sketch pad and markers, or digitally on an ipad.

I met Jon at a corporate event at the San Jose Museum of Art. I enjoyed sitting for the funny caricature he made of me. Jon and I pleasantly chatted about art and technology while he worked. I particularly enjoyed watching him create on an iPad. It was neat to see how he used that technology to create something memorable.

Jon Casey is very professional. He has a gift in artistic skills as well as in building rapport with the guests! He had so many great reviews to begin with and I wasn’t sure he would available for a smaller event, but he was open and so kind to correspond with for my son’s 1^st birthday! Everyone at the party loved him!

Having Jon at my wedding was probably the best decision I made (aside from marring my husband, of course). I was not sure how my family and friends would take to having a caricature artist, but everyone absolutely loved him! I wish I could have had him stay longer because there was still a line by the end of the night. I absolutely love mine and my husband’s caricatures, and really enjoy looking through the caricatures of our friends and family to see how they turned out.

Several years ago I discovered Jon’s web site while «Googling» myself.
Jon and I share a name. From the moment I made this Internet discovery I knew it would be really fun if I ever threw a big party to invite Jon to come and draw my guests.
This year I finally threw that party and Jon was on the top of my list for entertainment.
Jon came and drew for three hours.
Throughout the whole eventing my guests kept telling me how cool it was to have Jon there. (I think he may have been more popular than me.)
Jon worked with me to create a custom border on his drawings that incorporated the invitation to my party. His caricatures became the perfect party favor for guests to take home at the end of the night.
Jon was professional, on time, and delivered a unique experience for my guests.

My husband and I wanted to do something different for entertainment at our wedding reception. As soon as we saw Jon’s artwork, we knew we had to have him at our wedding. Our guests were thoroughly entertained and my husband and I were impressed at how quickly he was able to draw our guests! All the drawings were amazing — We decided to print out all of our guests drawings and hang them on our wall as artwork for our house!

I found Jon Casey Caricatures while trying to find the perfect addition to a corporate party I was coordinating. I succeeded, as his caricature drawings were a hot conversation piece, something everyone loves and had lasting effect as people kept the drawings at their desks and had fun showing each other their pictures on his website. The best part about Jon Casey from a party coordinator view was that he was easy to work, was very well prepared, flexible with timing, staying later than expected, and working next to a live band. He knew exactly what questions to ask and simply told me what to expect. It made the whole thing run smoothly and without any problems.

I do not think I have ever met an artist/​business person that has maintained the level of quality and professionalism as Jon Casey. I have worked with Jon at 2 separate events and was immediately impressed by his speed and overall product quality. Jon also continues to research the newest trends in technology in an effort to make his product the best in the country.
Do NOT hesitate to book this guy! He will draw in any environment. I even heard that he once drew at a Little Person Burlesque Convention in Cincy and tore the roof down w/​his amazing work! He’s so rad.

Absolutely, hands down — a MUST HIRE. Jon was contacted to do a custom picture for our executive and an internal corporate event. He is professional, extremely artistic, and very responsive.
Jon will work with you until you are satisfied with the end product and bring his ideas and talents as an additive to the work. Our custom art work was amazing and truly indicative of what we had requested from him. He made changes as needed and worked with our ideas willingly and without hesitation.

I had the pleasure of sitting for one of John Casey’s boys. Awesome job! It was a lot of fun!
I was trying to look at what he was doing and he caught me. So his first impression was that– hence my one eye looking to the left where the tv screen was of my caricature. Beware of the artist’s first impression as you sit down. That’s what he will draw :)
They take at least 10 minutes for each person. They can draw you together or separately. They will print your picture and you can take a copy with you when you go home. For a very nominal fee like less than $ 5 you can go to their website and buy an electronic version of your caricature that you can download.
Beware it is the longest line in any event. But it’s the most fun! Each artist has his own style. One will sketch you in a regular way and one will do a pretty big close up. I prefer the regular look myself.

Ok, so you might want to grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, depending on what time of day you are reading this, because this is going to be a looooong review!
I own a little dog daycare and I host a «Yappy Hour» once a month. It’s invite only, a lot of fun, we have tons of little dogs and lots of amazing people :)
My journey with Jon started with a «Groupon» if you can believe it!
I had bought a Groupon for a photo booth for my Yappy Hour. When I called the company (at the time set by the Groupon coupon) I was told that Groupon had made a mistake with the available reservation times and that the booth was booked up until January.
Stupid me, I had already told my clients that there was a special surprise! I was scrambling folks!
My team started brainstorming and we came up with, «how about a caricaturist?»
I completely lucked out that the third person I called was Jon — the first two caricaturists I contacted didn’t feel comfortable trying to draw dogs. I certainly don’t blame them because their reputation is in their artwork — it’s on display for everyone to see!
So, to make a long story longer, I found Jon and asked him if he could do it. I didn’t realize it at the time but I was super lucky that he was in between contracts!
He said, «why not… but you have to understand that this is not my normal thing so if it doesn’t work out, we will be okay?» «No problem!», I replied and the rest is history!!!
He captured my daycare dogs’ personalities so amazingly well and it’s not like he can ask them what their favorite sport is, what they do for a living etc. He really is that talented! I was so impressed that I then commissioned Jon to draw every single one of my daycare dogs as Christmas gifts for my clients. He just sent me the last drawing today — that is over 100 dogs that he drew!!!
That said, another thing I LOVE about Jon is that even though he may work for some of the biggest corporations around, when you are his client, it doesn’t matter how big (or little) you are, he is a professional and delivers on time.
Unilocal just doesn’t provide enough stars for people like Jon.
One last thing, not only is Jon incredibly talented, he is also super nice and an absolute joy to work with.

Yeah yeah… he might be good at drawing those funny looking caricatures like you find at all those tourist spots of humans, but Jon is AMAZING cuz he draws dogs! You heard it… DOGS! As in my little baby girls. I just got back from Yappy Hour at Bark to Basics and I left with two totally cool pics of my two rugrats.
Shura had taken a picture of the girls earlier in the day and bam… right in front of us in a matter of minutes, out comes two rad pics of the girls in the cutest facial reaction. He even captured the pugness of my pug! He had a monitor set up to show us stroke for stroke his creative process. Then, with a hit of button… pop comes the picture. Way cool!
Forget about hiring those pier 39 amateurs… Jon is the guy you need!

Awesome caricaturaricaturistworchestersauce (could never pronounce or spell it right). Hired Jon for my umpteenth bday shindiggers and my friends and family were cartoonized fantastically.
For the most part, we looked like ourselves in the finished drawings. Unless you asked him to make you look skinnier (which he will totally do for you… er, not that I asked)
His rates are reasonable and I would book him again in a heartbeat. Note that he does charge a traveling rate if your event location is out side of SF. My cousin ended up hiring him for her daughter’s bday, and another cousin. and another. He’s probably drawn my whole family and then some by now. In fact, he’s posted some of my fam on his blog. Jon deserves all the rec’s he could get. He’s that likeable and talented. Book him now!
