Ivor Emanuel MD is the only physician in San Francisco who combines and integrates the specialties of ear, nose and throat, and allergy and asthma.
His many years of experience and expertise has allowed him to offer a unique integrative approach to the treatment of ear, nose and throat problems, chronic nasal a sinus infections, allergies and asthma, in both adults and children.
Dr Emanuel treats hearing loss, ear and throat problems, and vocal issues. He also treats food, GI and skin allergies.
Dr Emanuel’s extensive experience and research enables him to provide the latest innovations and state of the art care to his patients.
He is a pioneer in the use of self/home administered sublingual immunotherapy/desensitization (under the tongue drops), for the long-term treatment of allergies (i.e. no «allergy shots»), having used them for over 25 years.
He has successfully treated many patients with severe snoring, and nasal congestion, using new, painless in-office procedures.

Established in 1978.
Dr Emanuel started his practice of Ear, Nose & Throat and Allergy in1978. His is the only practice in San Francisco that combines and integrates both specialties in order to better manage conditions of the nose, sinuses and asthma.
His continual research has kept his practice in the forefront of Otolaryngology and Allergy. He uses the latest technologies such as endoscopic sinus surgery, Somnoplasty for snoring, allergy blood testing and allergy under the tongue drops (no shots) immunotherapy.
Dr Emanuel has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters and has taught extensively both nationally and internationally.
He is a Fellow and Past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and a Member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr Emanuel serves on the Clinical Faculty of both UCSF and Stanford University.
