Allergy Desensitization/​Immunotherapy — using the Sublingual drops - (under the tongue) is now used in place of allergy «shots». This technique, which has been used predominantly in Europe with great success, is available in this practice. Dr Emanuel is one of the innovators of this latest technique in the United States.

Dr Ivor Emanuel has been the principal physician for the last 25 years, specializing in all aspects of ear, nose and throat, allergy and asthma.

Meet the Business Owner

Ivor A. Emanuel, M. D.

Business Owner

Dr Ivor Emanuel is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UCSF and is on the adjunct clinical faculty at Stanford University.

He is affiliated with CPMC and St. Mary’s Hospital. Dr Emanuel received his medical degree in South Africa and did his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr Emanuel is board certified.

Dr Emanuel is a Fellow and Past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/​Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Dr Emanuel has edited and written numerous scientific articles, book chapters and other professional publications. He has lectured extensively both in the United States and internationally, especially on blood testing allergy diagnosis, sinus disease and the allergic relationship to chronic sinusitis. He has authored numerous papers in the field of allergy and chronic sinusitis.
