Hakan did a good job installing a new side door to my garage but I’m only giving him 3 stars because he waited until the very last possible day (the day before I was leaving for Mexico) to complete the work even though I gave him a deposit a month beforehand

I was hearing every single detail of my upstairs neighbor’s life. If you ever experienced such a thing you would know what a disturbance this can be. This is why I contacted HG Construction. Hakan, a very professional gentleman, promised to take care of it in three weeks, guaranteed the effectiveness of his work and delivered it. Now I don’t wake up with my neighbor any more, I actually don’t hear them at all. It was not cheap but the peace of mind I gained was worth every penny of it.

Tonight as the downstairs neighbors shouted at each other, I stood in the dining room and could make out every word. Then I went into the next room, the bedroom, where the fight was so nicely muffled that it sounded almost dreamy. The difference is there’s nothing beneath the hardwood in the dining room except my neighbors’ ceiling, whereas the wall-​to-​wall carpeting in the bedroom is sitting on a carpet pad sitting on three layers of thick vinyl soundproofing material, the pieces of each layer arranged expertly, to maximum effect. This even feels good – you feel like you’re standing on a nice thick rug, though the rug itself isn’t really so thick. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’ve slept through the night ever since Hakan installed the soundproofing.

Hakan is a pleasure to work with — he’s friendly, considerate and honest, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with his work. When I got the flu after the job was done, he offered to bring me soup. How many other contractors can you say that about?
Okay, on to the actual job. Here’s what Hakan did for me:
* Took a closet that had literally hundreds of holes and made the walls look like new
* Installed my new closet organizer
* Painted my bedroom wall
* Patched another hole in my living room and finished it to the point you can’t tell it was there
* Took my unstable blinds down, hid the holes I made in the wall, and anchored them securely.
I will call him again when I install lighting in my bedroom. And I would not hesitate to recommend him for anyone looking to have some help on this type of project.

We had Hakan and his team to our condo to rebuild deck railings and install crown molding and quarter rounds. I can’t speak highly enough of him — professional, meticulous and reasonably priced given the high quality of his work. We tend to notice the smallest things and everything he did was done perfectly — we couldn’t be happier.
I am home with a baby and he was so thoughtful to work around her nap schedule and I completely trusted him and his team in my home.
The project did take a few days longer than expected but it wasn’t a big deal and we would rather have it done correctly.
HIGHLY recommend giving him a call for anything you need done!

At the price and time frame quoted…
Best contractor there is. I needed a closet built. Closet was to be suspended over staircase. Hakan gave me an estimate at 80% of the price that my neighbor paid for the exact same construction. Hakan told me that he would be in on a Saturday and out 7 days later. Guess what — work was completed exactly as quoted, for the price quoted. The job was completed on time and the surrounding areas cleaned and painted. To save on costs, I asked Hakan to let me install my own closet shelving. .. The following weekend, after I realized that installing shelving properly was a non-​trivial task, Hakan spent Saturday helping me install the shelving I didn’t want to pay him to install. We shared a glass of wine afterward.
