Description

Specialties

The contemporary ketubah is: a Jewish wedding contract for our time.

It’s a testament to your love, marriage, and family, and it should reflect your style and vision. It is a special work of art that sanctifies your home and reminds you of your commitment to your partner and your connection to Jewish tradition. But it doesn’t have to look like your grandmother’s Judaica! Check out these colorful designs, or collaborate with me to make your own ketubah. With mixed-media collage, original paintings, and digital sketches, I create a lasting document that integrates Jewish practice and the personal histories of the couple. It is then printed on beautiful archival cotton paper by Artisan Giclee, using museum-quality fine art reproduction technology.

History

Established in 2008.

I started making original ketubot in 2004, and after making several for friends, launched my website in 2008. After three years, I’ve designed hundreds of ketubot for couples like you!

Meet the Business Owner

Jessica K.

Business Owner

I’ve always created art, from painting to ceramics to printmaking, and I’ve studied at art and design schools in the US and the UK. While in Israel on a Dorot Fellowship, I became interested in the global history and ritual significance of Jewish material culture. With ketubah design, I found that I could combine my eye for intricate pattern and vibrant colors with spiritually-infused imagery. I love working with couples to create a depiction of their love and commitment that they’ll cherish and pass on to future generations. After four years of designing for clients and friends, my husband and I worked together in to design our own ketubah. I also design public art projects, write freelance articles and teach sustainable design at UC Berkeley Extension.
