I went to Stephen twice: for my 2013 return and for a seemingly complicated audit that required me to pay back taxes. My impression is that Stephen is an especially competent tax preparer, a cut above the rest. He is also incredibly fast! I would trust him in the event of another audit or complicated return. Unfortunately his fees are too high for me to continue in a normal year, but for someone in a bind, or a higher tax bracket, I highly recommend him.

We had our taxes prepared by Steve Herbstman for the last couple of years. He is expensive, but I thought I was getting good service. What a mistake! I have been notified by the Federal Gov AND the State of California of additional taxes due to his «oversights». Would I recommend Stephen Herbstman? Eek! Me thinks not!
