Fig & Twine is a full service floral design company based in San Francisco. We work in the greater Bay Area, and can arrange to include other locations. We specialize in weddings, corporate events and social events.
The flowers at my wedding were probably one of my favorite things! I had the pleasure of working with Shaelyn on a recommendation of another florist who was unavailable — this turned out to my in MY favor! I met with Shaelyn several months before the wedding and we discussed the look I was going for; I had specific color schemes in mind but did not have any hard and fast rules on how I needed the flowers to look. We met again at a site visit at our reception venue the month before the wedding to finalize some things and add on some additional items which I was very pleased about. When the big day came I was SO pleased with how everything turned out. The bouquets and centerpieces were perfect; I could not have been more happy with the floral services provided by Shaelyn. We also worked out renting the candles/votives from her as well and ended up having a beautiful garland outlining a doorway at the reception. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Shaelyn was always professional and replied to my email inquiries timely. She revised our floral agreement many times without issue or complaint. Her designs were beautiful, timeless, simple and elegant — just what we were looking for. Working with her was a pleasure!

I was walking by The Little Skillet on my way to get my hair cut at the ThidaStyle salon and Shaelyn was having a little sidewalk sale of some beautiful arrangements. I love that they were in some cool re-purposed mason jars so I picked one up for an amazing price of just $ 10! Her arrangements were unique and definitely a huge step up from the typical flower arrangements you see at most florists! I can see why Shaelyn has a nice list of positive reviews here! I will be back…

I’ve worked with Shaelyn, of Fig & Twine, for a couple of years now and I’ve never met another florist with a keener eye for form and detail than her. As an event planner, I often referred her to my clients not only because of her gorgeous arrangements but also because she is a true professional. Her approach to floral design is unique and her materials are distinct without being overstated.

My partner and I were planning a simple commitment ceremony in Tilden Park, and a friend recommended Shaelyn for the flowers. Boy, am I glad we chose her! We didn’t want much — just a crown of flowers and a bouquet for me, and a crown of flowers and a basket of rose petals for my daughter as the flower girl — but Shaelyn made it look amazing. She was totally professional and easy to work with right from the get-go — you can tell she’s got a lot of experience. The day of the event, she arrived early, and had not only brought everything we’d asked for, but had also brought extra flowers and bud vases to put on the picnic tables(which looked much better once she was done with them). She also asked if we wanted her to tie a big white ribbon around the picnic site sign to make it easier for our guests to find, and we said yes, so that made it not only more festive but really helpful for our guests. We got a ton of compliments on the flowers, but more importantly, she asked us what we wanted and delivered exactly that. They were gorgeous and we loved them! She was an absolute dream to work with and I highly recommend her!

My wedding flowers were gorgeous! Working with Shaelyn @ Fig & Twine was fun and validating as she turned my fantasy into a lush reality while respecting my budget. She had a lot of creative ideas for extending my aesthetic. Instead of just flowers-flowers-flowers, she also designed & created handmade paper crafts, vases and ribbons to enhance my floral arrangements which she designed to do double-duty. Working with her was so much fun! She seemed to enjoy our planning meetings as much as I did. She is creative, organized, and dependable. She even introduced me to my wedding planner/coordinator. It was a beautiful day. Shaelyn introduced me to the practice of donating floral arrangements after big events as well. Thanks to Shaelyn, we managed to have a wedding as beautiful as we had imagined. Highly recommended!

I would love to give Shaelyn 5 stars, she is phenomenal. She is very knowledgable, easy to talk to, flexible and was mostly very professional. She did a really beautiful job putting my bouquet together and overall I really enjoyed working with her. She is VERY talented. However, the reason that I am giving her 3 stars instead of the 5 is because of a pretty big delivery glitch. I had told Shaelyn that I would be getting married on 10÷31÷13 at noon and that I would need delivery on 10÷30÷13 between 3 and 4pm. I had asked to change the delivery location, but I had informed her of the change more than 3 weeks prior to the scheduled delivery date(at that time I had requested the more specific delivery times mentioned above). At about 8:30 or so, the night before my wedding my fiancé and I returned from our rehersal dinner only to find that the flowers still had not been delievered. I immediately tried calling Shaelyn to find out what had happened. It was getting late in the evening, but she did call me back within an hour or so of my initial call. She had stated that she had it listed on our contract that the delivery date is scheduled for 10÷31÷13 between 3 – 4. I explained that I had specifically requested delivery on 10÷30÷13 in the many emails that we had exchanged. She had promised to have the flowers delivered first thing in the morning, but it really bothered me that she was putting the responsibility of the error on my shoulders. Needless to say, I was really upset by what had occurred. This had caused a whole lot more stress than I needed the night before my wedding… She personally brought the flowers up to me the next morning and apologized profusely for the confusion on her part(she had referred back to my emails and saw that I had mentioned that I needed delivery on 10÷30÷13). The arrangement was beautiful and she did scramble to make sure that I had them in time and I do appreciate that. Despite the delivery issue, I would recommend hiring Shaelyn. She is affordable and does really great work. I’m sure that the delivery glitch is not an error that will be made again.
